I love this place, its like going to Moms house and having her cook you breakfast. I said breakfast because I always get breakfast there but dinner is really good too. The breakfast is good oh, the lunch is good, the dinner is good. And desserts! Favorite breakfast is the Denver omelet, or Georges omelette with ham, oh and the chicken and Texas shaped waffle, and French toast platter. Favorite lunch for dinner is chop steak, or the seafood basket.
This diner is fantastic, weve been 3 times this week and everything has been outstanding. Our family just moved from PA and with the delay of our moving truck the Dalrock Diner has become our new favorite place in town.The service is excellent, Pam is so friendly and personable. And Felipe remembers our beverage orders already. They all do a great job by taking care of the restaurant, its very clean. The decor and music is my Moms favorite. I love that Football is on TVs too.The daily soups are all very good and the salads are huge. The Ranch dressing is A+ (not all Ranch is the same lol)Also, the Milkshakes are tasty and you certainly get alot.We love the Dalrock Diner, they even gave us 2 coffee mugs to take home.
Really cute place! Friendly staff, good environment. Heads up for any vegetarians - there arent many options for us - but you can get breakfast all day, so I had some pancakes for dinner and they were fantastic. Definitely check out the menu before you head over to be sure theres something for you to eat. Fun little date spot, well be back!
Omg! A diner dream come true! Everything on the menu is delicious! I highly recommend the catfish ir seafood platter...delicious! Homemade hush puppies, tartar sauce, homemadebreadingfor the fish...what more could you ask for. Then the chicken fried steak, yum!! A must try. Tiny so limited seating, fyi.
My husband and I have come here for a second time because they made such a great impression the first time! Upon our second visit, staff are still friendly, food still delicious and still a wonderful place to stop by and eat!! Here are some photos of their food! We met the owner George as he did his rounds in the dining room. He’s friendly, accommodating and helpful. The staff were great. The place is a well oiled machine. No one waited for anything. The food was as expected, cooked well and delicious. We’ll definitely make this a regular for breakfast and brunch. Absolutely check it out. We will be back!

I’m a regular customer! Food is consistently good, service is great, except the manager, she can be a dictator! I went there this morning and she got really upset at my waitress because she wanted a specific table! I gave the waitress a good tip because of the manager rudeness.

First time diner at this location and really enjoyed it! Fun atmosphere and the server was fun and authentic. So many good choices, Ill be back. The coconut cream pie was delicious!
A local favorite that I can not say anything bad about!!! The food has always been great no matter what I have ordered. The service is prompt and attentive and the prices are very reasonable considering the amount of food that they serve.
Dalrock diner is our new go to place when we want low key and good home cooked style food. Everything we’ve tried so far has been delicious and the service has been excellent, not to mention their prices are very fair the way diner food should be. Love this place and so glad we found it.
I have been eating at this place on the weekends for over 2 years now and the best part I like about it is their staff and the vibe I get every time I’m here. It’s always bustling full of people, smiles all around and that’s the kind of place where I feel happy. Not to forget the delicious food they serve! Most places miss the part about the importance of great customer service and that’s where they lose out on repeat customers and this place surely has that figured out perfect!
Good value for the money. First place Ive found that serves a Greek omelette. I love that they offer choice of tabasco or Louisiana hot sauce (the latter being my preferred). Pancakes are fluffy. Just an all around good experience.
Well I walked in no one spoke to me. Im really big on when someone walks into your place of employment/ business you greet them before I make it in all the way. May sound petti but after years of customer service it tends to stick with you. The place is really small. I asked for a to go menu that had no prices on it. After getting a real menu and placing my order. I had 3 waitresses walk pass me several times not one open there mouth to speak to me let alone ask me was I ready to order. I walked to the counter to place my order. I will not return. All this for a salad

This is the true local diner . Breakfast was great, I had the 3 egg veggie omelet, with grits, rye toast and salsa. It was a lot of food at a very reasonable price. Service was excellent and friendly. This was my first time here and I can promise all of you it will not be my last. While I am sitting here telling you about my experience, I am already thinking about what to have next time.Seriously you cant let this place pass by you. You must stop if you never been here before.
My family and I came here often. 2 to 3 times a week. Today the owner was extremely rude to us, lacks customer service skills ALOT. Went up to them with no problem, his employees handled it well but still he decided to have the last word and we left with a problem, BIG RED FLAG. Definitely just lost our business

After church, breakfast calls for this family so Mr Google provided this new place for us to get our morning chow. Due to Rona, you need to stay in your car and the host will call you to let you know when your table is ready. As you enter, you can see that its a retro style Diner. Its attractive yet challenging for a family of 5 to sit and enjoy a meal. We ordered the traditional omelet, pancakes, waffles etc. The customer service was effective and positive. The meal arrived quick yet a bit of a let down after we waited for a while. The omelet had nothing out of ordinary taste along with the other items. The pancakes were heavy and thick consistency not light and fluffy. The side of onion rings brought some taste to the meal. We paid $49 for a meal that lacked some zest especially for a Diner that looks like its been around. Ill try again yet no time soon.
The food was plentiful and served hot!Coffee refills should use a fresh cup. Like my coffee fresh. Not mixed with the last of the pot! Service is quick and no rushing you out of the table. Lunch time is very busy. Get in b/4 noon.

Small standalone table serve restaurant. Restaurant and restrooms where clean. Service and prices were good. Food was mediocre. Corned beef was probably out of a can. Biscuits were good with the gravy tasted like it was a pattern mix. Hash browns were good. Overall we were disappointed. Cant recommend.

Placed a pickup order for fried fish combo with coleslaw and tarter sauce plus chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes. What I received was fish with fries nothing else plus chicken strips and a waffle.
Great food. I didnt post my salad but it was awesome. The pot roast was a healthy Texas helping. The food was on point! Didnt have the best waitress but she seemed swamped. The kid running the register had as much personality as 1960s wall paper. Other then that it was a great experience.
A perfect diner experience. Cute diner decor from the 50s AND super clean. The staff was all friendly and kept the place running smooth even on a Sunday morning.Lots of menu items and even a few healthy options. Good table service, never had an empty drink and quick to remove any dirty dishes. The tables, seats and condiments on the table were clean, not sticky.Convenient location on the corner of Dalrock and Hwy 66.They have individual desserts as well as whole pies.

First time at Dalrock Diner. Loved it! The food was delicious. We went on a Monday evening. I had breakfast, my hubby had chicken fried steak & my son had chicken tenders. We had fried zucchini to start, highly recommend it! They were busy the entire time we were there, even for a Monday night, although the waitresses didnt skip a beat and were right on top of everything. They helped each other out and worked as a team refilling drinks and checking on us several times. Excellent food and excellent, service this will be a new frequent dining place for us. On another note, we learned tonight that Dalrock Diner is owned by the same people who owned Chubbys so if youve had Chubbys you will know what to expect at Dalrock Diner :-)
I went to brunch here with my kids. I liked it. Its a nice little cozy place. The place was clean with cool Coca Cola memorabilia. The food was really good & plated on time.I also thought it was pretty cool that they have a few lil gardens growing outside around the restaurant. This makes it look a lil more homey. 😊 I liked it. We definitely will be going back again another time.
Do not order take out on a hot day. Ordered on phone, got to restaurant five minutes early, food was ten minutes later than promised, was told I had to wait outside for food, even after reminding them twice how hot it was outside, there are no to go parking spots, you must wait outside in the heat

This place is absolutely amazing!!!!!!!! If you’re not going for the food then you’re going to the atmosphere and if you’re not go for the atmosphere then you’re going for the food!! If neither of those are important to you (which is silly) then you’re going for the wonderful service and the amazing staff! This place has the best coffee, best chocolate chip waffles, and it’s all really good prices! You definitely don’t wanna miss the chance to stop by here and let this place brighten up your day!!

Really busy and small so expect a wait. Was not impressed by the breakfast. Pancakes werent very good and the sausage was little pre-made patties. Staff was nice enough. Would like to have seen a little more flavor in the food. When I see people waiting outside a place, I assume that it is gonna be delicious. This was not the case on this visit. Must be mostly due to a good location. Will go to another diner in the future but wouldnt tell people to stay away if you just want a place to sit and eat a regular breakfast
It was a clean place. Order the salmon it was dry and Mac n cheese too much cheese and the portion of the salmon was very little for the price. I felt like I could make it at home better. So I wasnt pleased at all.

I am giving this place 5 stars strictly for one main reason. The chicken fried steak. I am very snobby with chicken fried steak and truly believe the process to make quality chicken fried steak is too long and attention demanding to cook at a restaurant. I never order them at establishments anymore because I never think they are worth a darn. However, my wife ordered one here and as usual she didnt finish so I tried the leftovers. Man oh man was I shocked. The chicken fried was edible! By far the best chicken fried steak I have ever had at a restaurant! Very impressed. I had one of the breakfast combos because that usually what I do at diners and it was good as well. For dessert I got the coconut cream pie and it was also scrumptious. The staff was nice and pleasant. Keep up the great work Dalrock

Service was friendly.Chicken and rice soup was on special when we visited. It was delicious!Our girls each ordered the pancakes, egg, and bacon. The bacon was cooked perfectly. The pancakes were fluffy and delicious. They even came in the shape of Mickey Mouse which of course made my girls happy.I ordered George’s Omelet. Spinach, mushrooms, and feta with a Greek salad. Omelet was great as was the salad.Mh ordered the chicken and waffles. They were very good. Waffle came Texas shaped which was fun. Chicken was tender and juicy.We also had the feta fries to share. They were nice and crispy. We enjoyed them.Overall we had a very good experience. Menu was full of pretty standard diner fare with a few Greek dishes thrown in. The food was all delicious but nothing stood out as particularly special. But again, it’s a diner and doesn’t disappoint as far as diner expectations run.
The breakfast special today was jalapeno sausage breakfast scramble with hash browns. I got a side of wheat toast and everything was freakin amazing as usual. The waitstaff keeps the coffee coming, is attentive and very cool. The manager is a diner machine. He does it all!Come get a great meal here. Your face hole will thank me.
Definitely one of the best breakfast I have had in a long time. From the moment you walk in we were greeted with a smile and the staff is friendly. Karen was our waitress and she was amazing. She recommended the country skillet which was good just needed a little more salt. My husband order omelet and the blueberry pancakes and they were yummy! She checked in us often to make sure we were good. We will definitely return.
I am not a fan of will not go back. I just didnt like the food. We all have our own taste thats not mine waitress was phenomenal
This place is amazing! Everything Ive had here is really good. The chicken fried steak and banana pudding or reeses pie are worth cheating on my diet (I guess ill postpone my 6 pack another day). One kid loves the steak fingers, the other one loves breakfast and we can make them both happy at the same place. I cant recommend this place enough. The people are all genuinely nice, Ive never had bad service. Its a pretty small place and with social distancing, they lost a few tables. Its worth the wait or skip the line and get takeout. Great people, great food. Cant ask for more.

Ladies and gentlemen if youve never been to the Dalrock Diner youve never been to Rowlett, Texas. The service is just as warm and comforting as the food. Its not everyday you can leave home and then find home inside of a restaurant. Thank you Laura for helping my wife and I get our day started. To the owner I should hope that the rest of your staff is as pleasing as Laura. We really had a great time. Once again thank you very much we will be returning.

This was my first time coming in and I definitely wasnt disappointed!! The food was delicious and hot, everything was nice and clean, all the staff was friendly and quick, and my kids absolutely loved their hot chocolate. Definitely coming back again and bringing some friends!!
Had the grilled haddock. Not impressed at all. All you could taste was oil and the burnt parts. Slaw was ok rolls where good. Onion rings were good. Old lady had stuffed crab she said it was good. Might try again fir a burger or dessert 🍨
We gave this diner a try after trying in the past and it always being super packed. Surprisingly was not too busy on a Saturday evening in November. It is 50s Coca Cola themed with the music to match the ambiance. I got the Gyro sandwich and added a cup of potato soup since it didnt come with any sides. There was a kids menu also which my son ordered the grilled cheese with fries. The service was just ok, had to ask my server for more water instead of her automatically filling it for me. The food was pretty good but way filling and you can tell its all homemade. The menu is pretty extensive with a whole array of different types of food. Id give it a try again and maybe next time with room for dessert 😁
