My Aunt and myself have been using Chris Rudge services when his father was there over 30 years ago.My Aunt introduced me to them 20 years ago.Myself I dealt with Chris and never had a problem with him working on my cars.They where honest and fair and stood behind there work. Now he has his son also involved in the business.Three generations of great service. They will call with the price of the work being done ahead of time.I usually let him check the car every six months to see what I would need to be done ahead of time so I dont have any surprises. I would give them a 10 and the highest being 10.Check them out and compare the professional service they provide.
Very friendly there, they usually try to accommodate and get you in and out as best as possible, good work done and I can say the prices are also pretty fair .

I took my car here to get an oil change and the air conditioning fixed. After 4 hours, he told me that the temperature sensor needed to be replaced and that they didn’t have the part but would order it. I paid for everything upfront so I wouldn’t have to worry about it, my total came to about $300.Once the part came in, I dropped off my car. Another 4 hours later, and after the sensor has been replaced, the air conditioning was still not working. I was told that it was the “mother board” that needed to be replaced because it wasn’t reading the sensor correctly. Again, they did not have the part and had to order it. I was asked to place a $150 deposit on the part, so I did. The labor would be paid after services were rendered and would cost $300 in addition to the price of the part.A few days go by, and all the sudden my air conditioning starts working. I was eager to save the $300 so, I call them to let them know that when the part comes in I’ll just pick up the part but not get the work done. They told me that the part is on back order so they offered me a refund for my deposit. I go to collect my refund, and only received $50 of the $150. Some surcharge and diagnostic nonsense, whatever.About 2 weeks after I first brought my car in, the oil change light goes on. I’m clearly confused because I just had this service done. So I give them a call, and they tell me they forgot to digitally reset it. So I bring it in again, to have it reset. All seemed fine...Now 6 weeks later, the sensor is hanging from my car and my air conditioning stopped working. Clearly they did not put it in properly. I paid $400 and the only thing that was done correctly was the oil change. I want them to fix the sensor since I paid for that to be done correctly but at the same time I’m too nervous about giving them my car again

Came here during Covid to get my car inspection sticker. Service was really great, very quick, polite and friendly staff. Only took off one star because they werent wearing a mask. Could be because the doors were all open in the building, but it did take me by surprise.

Horrible service. This place will up charge you on every part and labor. If labor is for 1.5 hours, they will bump up to 3 hours. Do not buy parts from them, as they charge double. Stay AWAY! Horrible mechanics and HORRIBLE business! You have been warned.

I am a 25+ year customer of this place. That in itself should tell you all you need to know, but Ill spell it out anyway. Theres plenty of competition in the Rutherford area, but I still choose this place due to reliability, honesty, and excellent service. Chris has helped keep my Jeep in service for 20 years. My latest experience involved getting towed in on a Saturday. Monday morning the problem, solution, and price were given to me. By Tuesday, I was up and running (it would have been same day if not for the other vehicles ahead of me also brought in on the weekend). Thanks Chris!
Great service. Friendly, honest people. I have been going here for several years. They track your service. I once asked for additional service during an oil change and they reminded me I did it last year and didnt need it yet. I appreciated their honesty and the fact that they dont always try to upsell you everytime you bring your car in.
