Dont go there often but I always have an enjoyable experience when I do. The atmosphere is friendly, theres a broad mix of customers, and the service is always excellent. If youre after a quality English breakfast, with a decent variety of choice, and a good cup of tea then look no further. It can get very busy, Sunday mornings in particular finding a free table is pot luck, but its popularity speaks for itself.
Nice and clean and spacious inside. Very limited menu breakfast, sandwiches or burgers. A bit disappointing. And not cheap. Good hot crispy chips though!
Nice breakfast good portions. The staff were friendly and attentive
Havent been there for years, slightly limited menu, all very good very well cooked with real chips!
Lovely café, great for breakfast or lunch. Lots of menu options. Staff are friendly.
Fantastic little place right in the heart of Guildford! Great food, folk and location ✅ 😊
Great food at great prices
This cafe has served brilliant food consistently to me and my family for many years. Couldnt recommend more highly.
Foods is good, owner or man who works there, miserable. Depends what you want.
Food was great but quite large well worth the money
Proper cafe.
Food was good but didnt get one of the orders correct.
Generally good cafe fayre, but the sausages are pretty poor and very insubstantial.

Nice place, fair prices, helpful staff
Polite and nice food from greenleaf house and rubbish clearance
Good English breakfast. Good prompt service, even though very busy. Friendly and polite staff. Just what the hungry groundworker ordered!!
Cracking breakfast. Special big breakfast is a god send, brings you back to life in your hour of need. Great saute potatoes, sausage and fantastic eggs. Service is quick. Very authentic great British breakfast experience.
Good food at sensible priceses, staff very good
Great cafe. Service is friendly and the food is good. Its always packed Mon-Fri and in the weekend its full of families and the odd hungover group of people.
This is a good old fashioned working mens cafe. The food quality excellent and quantity didnt fail to set us up for the day.If you are in Guildford and your good lady wants to have a day trawling he shops, make this your first stop. It will keep you going all day, with maybe just a few stops for refreshment.
Summing up what you would expect.....you get what you pay for. Nice portion of breakfast for 5 pounds but low quality as well. Really small but cozy place but seems a little dirty. Stuff is a little apathetic towards customers, not pleasant but not rude either. They have an eating challenge where you get a really huge plate of food and if you get to eat it in 30 minutes its free. If you dont, you pay 15 pounds for the plate. Even if you dont get to eat it in 30 minutes, paying only 15 pounds for such a huge meal is efficient I guess. I would only visit the place again if I am low on funds and really really hungry.
Best of British full English breakfasts. So welcoming after a long run, cycle or swim. You cant beat it. Simple, well done, great quality, good value. Tick, tick, tick, tick.
Is good
Great cup of tea served by great staff
Classic and proper cafe. Exactly what you would expect it to be. Fast service. Great food. Hot coffee. Parking outside is free but can be full at peak times. Recommended.
How lovely to find that none of the quality and value for money has been lost due to lockdown and subsequent restrictions - well done team 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Good old fashioned cafe. Deals with the working person mainly. When you ask for something different than on the menu it isnt a problem.
Great hot chocolate. Yum
Great bacon bap - Hit the spot!
Clean with good service a typical workers cafe breakfast was alright nothing to rave about but definitely worth a visit if your after a fry up in Guildford
Turned up to do this famous cafe challenge and was told they wont do it because its too busy well if two couples ordering before me is busy then I cant imagine what the quality of food will be like when they cant handle all tables seated jesus perfectic
Nice breakfast. Fair price. Nice polite young lady taking the orders.
Busy traders cafe with efficient service.Tasty breakfast with a food challenge if you fancy it
Good food great portions very gd service
Great hot food. Quick service and parking right outside
Set breakfast gteat value for money very nice till girl
Apparently it has been running since the 40s. No frills, delicious greasy spoon. Great if you want to stuff your face with a classic English breakfast.
Traditional English breakfast and fast food. All fresh and excellent. Decor a bit outdated
Very nice food and good prices
Lovely food and good value
Highly recommend quality fry up, limited set breakfast but freshly cooked good food
Great food. Billy basic cafe. Worth finding a parking place and walking.
Fresh and quality food, big portions and small prices. You can build your own salad or sandwich and the service is excellent. Overall highly recommended!
Proper café. All day breakfast plus other lunches. Also do a food challenge where if you can eat the set meal within 30 minutes, not do you get your money back, you get a Tee shirt and you are entered into the Hall of Fame, if not, then its the Wall of Shame
I love how it was open very early on a Sunday morning, breakfast and coffee was good. Great location on the way to the motorway.
Delicious and fresh English breakfast as well as burgers and sandwiches. Breakfast is fully customisable and very reasonably priced. Lovely place to grab a quick bite!
Best full english breakfast around. Simple, but very tasty. The little courtyard bit is great in the sun
Cosy greasy spoon provided a large variety of breakfast items plus lunch specials bacon sausage and egg bap was perfect and I highly recommend the milkshakes. Prices are very reasonable
An wonderful establishment.A proper old-school Cafe serving good grub at reasonable prices. The only reason it does not get the five stars it would normally deserve in these circumstances, is their continued annoying/stubborn refusal in not extending their opening hours by just a half an hour more at the weekends when there is first class Cricket on just next door. The lunch at the Cricket is 13.00. The exact time that this Cafe closes at weekends.Yoyoyoyoy do they continue to do this ???Unbelievable.
Great atmosphere, great staff, excellent breakfast.
Excellent food at good reasonable prices
Not a bad little cafe and not that great either, Good for a quick bite and cuppa if passing, Average quality food nothing special.
Food here was the worst I have had in a cafe and the price aswell o my god🙏..dont eat here if you are looking for a nice breakfast and the staff are so rude..
A dying breed, when i return to the uk, i purposely and stay at a nearby hotel, skip the breakfast and come her every morning, best value for money cafe you will find, if you want fine dining, go away and find yourseldf an artisan eaterie, where some old enough to know better mature male student with a hair style similar to my grans will serve you chunky bread, and even chunkier soup, and then bill you for 15 quid,
Great English breakfast friendly staff spot on for the drinkers the day after
Shabby trailer shack with the feel of an American diner, and not in a good way. Foul-mouthed customers make you feel unwelcome and the male-dominant and relatively homogeneous crowd would make any woman or person of colour feel very uneasy. The food is also ridiculously greasy but you do get a good plate of calories for a good price; which I suspect is the main draw of the place.
Nice cafe. Very good food. Happy with service and food. Only dissapointment is the overstewed tea.
GREAT CAFE, BASIC BUT GOOD
Good wholesome good value food.
Great quality breakfast that was reasonably priced. I will definitely be returning to attempt the breakfast challenge.
Nice breakfast food and good value for money. The staff is really friendly. Totally recommended.
What a joke avoid this place by the time I unwrapped everything it was cold plastic knife and fork left the lot

Love the food, staff were good.
Nice food but very small cafe and no toilets
Great cafe, great value
Brilliant every time! Great staff, freshly cooked food, veggie options and large portions.
Always great food, great service too. Best cafe in Guildford in my opinion.
Reasonable prices, could do with updating as its not really changed since last visit 10 years ago
Great food and great service worth a visit
I love this cafe I would eat there every day if I could and the best black pudding ever thanks to you all Ill be in tomorrow my mouth is watering with the thought of that black pudding now
Went to visit Dapdune wharf and came here for breakfast based on seeing previous google reviews. We both ordered the set breakfast, was £4.95 very reasonable, with a choice of beans or tomatoes. Bacon was thick with burnt crispy bits - very enjoyable with brown sauce. Was very busy full of families, couples, young and old. Its a proper cafe, nothing fancy. We were there just before 10am and were order number 180, thats how busy they were!!Only down side was, the owner, I presume, was on tills. He instructed a young man, to clean something with a cloth. The young man picked up a cloth. The owner shouted at him not this one, Ive already told you. The young man picked up the one he was supposed to. The owner was muttering under his breath for f*** sake. He then said to the customer, in front of me in the queue, you have to pay them certain amount of money but they cant do the work!. This I found very unprofessional. Maybe he knew the customer in front of me. I doubt it because the owner then explained to him that he can order fresh or tinned tomatoes with his breakfast and he should always ask when ordering. The customer ordered fresh. When it was my turn, he didnt offer me fresh or tinned tomatoes. Nor was he particularly friendly.Yes, the place was busy but he had 3 individuals cooking and 2 servers, from what I can see. Plus him on tills. I dont know why he was so grumpy. The actual cafe reminds me of a conservatory/extension, and it was full. We waited about 10mins for the food, which was reasonable.Overall, good, easy, very reasonable food. Owner maybe grumpy at times. This is a proper cafe, dont expect anything fancy.
A proper, old school caf! really enjoyed the breakfast!
