The outside of this facility is beautiful and the grounds are so clean!! Sue is so welcoming and so friendly. Being a dog lover myself, she was so excited to see my fur babies and gave them treats!! 🙂 I really appreciated how knowledgeable she was in helping me find the best fit for me. This was the only place that I could find on short notice on a Sunday that would let me do it online my contract that is. When I got there after hours there was a bag on the door with a key and everything and it and a lock that I didnt end up using but they credited my account which was great. I would recommend this place to anybody.

I would give zero stars due to the absolutely horrible customer service. I called to check my balance and I believe the woman’s name was Sue and she is incredibly rude, continuously cut me off while I was trying to speak, and clearly loves a good old ignorant power trip. Take your business elsewhere, I sure will be after this. And conveniently enough when I asked for her supervisor so I could actually speak without constant interruptions, and to let them know she clearly needs a class on how to talk to other human beings, she was “unavailable”.

We chose Life Storage for our storage needs after seeing the South Portland location. The building is great and seems very secure. Very clean facility. The Saco location is just as clean and secure.Renting a storage unit from Life Storage could not have been easier! We did all online. Sue was there and after we completed the online process, she took time to show us how to get in to the building and where to park when loading and unloading. She even gave our dog a great welcome with kisses and cookies. All in all a great experience.

SUE IS THE BEST. Not only did Sue, who I believe is the manager, help me figure out what size space I need (and by figure out I mean she told me the space I wanted was too small and then I had to come crawling back to her and beg her for a new one when I realized she was right), but she is a ray of friendly, funny, tell-it-to-you-straight sunshine. She is incredibly transparent and easy to get a hold of. I have rented a climate controlled space and everything has been easy to access, incredibly clean, and cool. Oh and affordable! Way cheaper than places that seem somewhat sketchy. Highly recommend.

For many people, the need to secure a storage unit usually comes out of a sudden or emergency situation that requires obtaining a storage unit quickly, affordably, and during the pandemic, safely. Life Storages online purchase system makes it possible to buy and access a new unit literally 24/7/365. There doesnt need to be someone in the office to initially buy a unit. In many situations, thats HUGE. Further, not everyone needs a unit for a huge length of time--oftentimes, you need to store things for a temp period of time...and the beauty of the Life Storage rental is that there isnt a contracted length of time like a gym membership or some such. Thats pretty darned ideal, imo. Rent for 2 years or 2 months, and only pay for the months you use.As for the Saco location, I cant say enough how wonderful this place was. I was ordering temp storage for my brothers things following an unexpected hospital stay for him that necessitated he vacate his apt, and we didnt know how long he would remain in the hospital. My husband and I drove up from CT at a late afternoon hour on a weekend, called ahead for storage units, and to my amazement, almost every place I called was closed. Arent storage places supposed to be 24/7? I chose Life Storage because I was able to order and pay for the unit online during the ride up to Maine, and had the access code and unit number emailed to me by the time I arrived. When I got there, there was a lock waiting inside the unit, and even a letter opener to slice through the package the lock came in.At the end of the rental, when it was time to empty the unit, they were protective of my personal info when my brother went to pick up his items, and they TRULY went above and beyond to help. I had paid ahead as I wasnt sure how long my brother would be in the hospital, and that no-contract thing came in very handy--they refunded any overage and only charged me for the month we actually used.Seriously, if youre in a jam and looking last minute for a place to store your things, look no further. This place is clean, efficient, secure, safe, honest, and well run. HIGHLY recommended!

I moved from Bangor to Old Orchard Beach back this summer. I thought, what could possibly go wrong with renting a storage unit!?? Well, the place I reserved (did not see it first) there would be no way I would even store my trash there! It did not feel secure, all outside units (description made it sound like it was an interior which I was vey disappointed it was not). The entry door to a long hallway where the units were was so narrow there would have been no way my items would fit through the first door! It was so sketchy I didnt even dare to explore any further! Also had a hard time gaining access to the gate to get in and hard to locate a customer service rep! My 2nd choice (very well known) would not even return my phone call so I ran out of time with them. Then, at Life Storage - I had a great experience! The facility is very, very nice and very secure! Their prices are very reasonable. Sue has always assisted me with any questions and is very pleasant. Id recommend them to anyone looking for storage! Gayle O.

This company is by far the worst company you could store your things in. Massive corporate mindset that doesn’t care about the customer. If your payment was missed or late they will not call or notify you of restricting access. They will just shut off access and change your locks. Then good luck getting in contact with anyone who works here. The unit I had was gross and not maintained. I’ve rented from southern Maine storage and by far have had the best experience there! Clean units and even better customer service. Oh and best part is if you don’t use the unit for a whole month and empty it out before the end of the month no prorated refunds here. They lure you in with a free month and the online content. Move along and spend your money somewhere local.

Staff is very rude They told me I couldnt park my standard size 6 and a 1/2 foot bad pick up truck in a parking spot but Cant park it by the door because it blocking the driveway dont know whats wrong with them they need a bigger parking lot The 1st time was with the trailer the 2nd time was no trailer its a storage unit you think you could drive a trailer through or even a car through the place you cant and theres only 4 parking spots for the storage unit
