Staff run a great shop, clean, friendly and know what the hell theyre talking about and dont run you around overselling and penny pinching everything.Theres a reason why most people who walk into this shop are on a first-name basis with the staff.

I am really happy. My car feels brand new again. Its an older subaru legacy, 2005 that had a few leaks and issues with the rack and pinion + bearing and I had a hard time getting the bottom of these issues with other mechanics. Especially the leaks. The car feels like its a brand new Subaru again, the suspension feels like Im driving on clouds. I am so happy to be leak-free as that has been an issue since I bought the vehicle.The service was also timely, and very affordable. Excellent! Another nearby shop called Marco Muffler quoted me over $3,000 for a simple exhaust leak, saying that I had to replace my entire catalytic converter system and exhaust manifold. Took it to this shop and all it needed was the cracked exhaust pipe to be welded back together and you charged under $150.

I took my 2008 Chevy Silverado to Cooks Automotive for the first time last week. I had them fix my exhaust manifold gaskets and my motor mounts. I questioned their ethics pretty hard initially, making them show me the work they did, the old parts etc. due to past bad experiences with mechanics overcharging me. They tolerated my distressed, answered all my questions, and did not give me any attitude. They did an amazing job and were less expensive than any other shop I checked with. And, a week later, another issue arose that required me to go to a different shop because I could not make it home, and Shiloh reimbursed me because it was related to their work. No questions asked. He is very honest and down to earth. After searching for many years, I think I finally found a mechanic I can trust.

Ben is a good listener, noted all my concerns with my 2003 Ford Expedition, which included changing the spark plugs. All my concerns were addressed and done quickly . The cost is appropriate and not over the agreed estimate. I lived in Vallejo, but I took my truck to this place for repair because they are fair in pricing, trustworthy and great yelp reviews. I dont normally do reviews, however sometimes there are businesses that go above and beyond the usual and deserve to be recognized. Cooks Auto Repair is probably the best shop I have been to since I have had my own vehicle. They offer a variety of services at affordable prices. So far I have had both of my vehicles serviced here for various reasons and I am beyond impressed; Not only by their timeliness and effectiveness to get a job done, but also by the amazing costumer service the entire team provides. They get you in quickly and fix whatever issues you have with your vehicle in a timely manner. The crew is absolutely wonderful, helpful, and always provide excellent service. Not only is the shop 100% affordable but they also provide financing through a third party company! This is super helpful when it comes to those emergency repairs your vehicle may need and you just dont have the immediate funds to cover it. If I could give this shop a higher rating, I would!

I got a used car from car hop, as expected it had issues. Both carhop and cooks we’re fast and reliable and fixing the issues. With or without warranty they got me in and out within a few hours or by the next day. And fairly priced. They’ve definitely got my business for future needs or issues

This place is a gem. Their service is impeccable, they are always fast and they would not screw you over. All the staffs are very friendly and nice. Ive dealt with Gage a few times and hes been nothing but extremely helpful with information and suggestions. We had to take our Honda there a few times this year and they took care of it very professionally each time. This place is highly recommend if you are looking find a go-to repair shop for your vehicle!

I had some work done here on my car. Tie rods, shocks, and a ball joint. I found my new go-to mechanic. They were fast, honest, and affordable. I walked to Starbucks for a while and had a call in no time.I brought my car to jiffy lube and they told me I needed to replace so many things. Cooks auto gave me a quote that beat their price and told me I actually didnt need to replace everything. They told me I didnt need control arms or my rack and pinion. They showed me the problems with the rack and said it could be an issue later, but to just keep an eye on it. They didnt try to rip me off. Just an honest shop that seems hard to come by anymore.Bring your cars here! Ill be back for oil change and smog soon.

This shop is awesome. Needed a new catyilac converter and charged me only $ 859 as apposed to $1300 u was quoted at several other shops. Part got there quick and got it done earlier than I expected. Friendly, knowledgeable service. No one likes repairs, but it was a good experience. I was recommended by a co-worker and I highly recommend Cooks Automotive. Thanks guys!

Excellent service! I went to this auto shop as I needed an oil change but they told me that oil was new and an oil change was unnecessary. They could have done the service and collected the money. Instead they said that something could be wrong with the engine as the ‘check engine’ light came on, and found out that the gas cap was simply loose. They didn’t charge anything and told me to get a new gas cap at a auto parts store. They kindly wrote down the product name and number for me to get a new gas cap. They are awesome. That’s why I come to this shop. They are very honest and give great customer service! Thank you!!

They’re the best in town, I’ve been going to them for 2 years now. Fair prices! Ben and Sarah always help me and giving me good advice about my cars. I have a 1981 Fiat X/19 and there’s not a lot of mechanics who work on these types of cars, but they work on it and do a really good job. Five star mechanic shop!

We have been doing business with Cooks auto for 3 + years. I have never been disappointed. We are retired and have older vehicles. 2001 Chevy and 2002 Dodge pick up. No matter the issue they find a solution. I have had my Tahoe towed a couple times in Feb-Mar. I can always depend that they will take care of the issues in a timely fashion. Often times faster than I had even thought about. Great Company. Love the service, the personnel, they work hard and take care of what ever needs to be taken care of.I have had a vehicle for 19 years, as you can imagine I have had a lot of experience with Mechanics and shops.Cooks is probably the best shop I have dealt with. I absolutely trust them. They are honest and dont oversell, tell me what is necessary.Great Mechanics and very easy to work with. My 2002 truck has 280,000 miles, I feel I will get many more miles out it by using Cooks as my shop to go to.

Brought in my 2012 Tundra with the check engine light on. The tech’s diagnosed the problem and found out it was under warranty. So he informed me the repair was done free of charge. Top notch honest shop!

Feeling very lucky to have happened upon Rex, and his crew of friendly, efficient & capable mechanics. Had car trouble while traveling and was on a deadline. Which in auto repair means (desperate & easy to gouge) but NOT with this shop they were honest quick and very reasonably priced. Couldnt be happier and my car runs great and I wont have to worry about breaking down along the road. And did i mention i have an import so not easy to even find able bodied mechanics on a moments notice. These guys are completely fraud, crooks, bad customer service (they calling people honey lol all staff is trash) they cheated me with $1300. They told me they changed my car parts and the same day I had issue with my car when I called them they got upset and denied thats not their fault. when I went to their shop they were acting so rude like I did something wrong. I will suggest to everyone don go their waste of money and time. UNPROFESSIONAL.
