Celebrating our 20 year anniversary this place was awesome. Great service and delicious food. We had the shrimp appetizers & the steak tar-tar. My husband had the Mediterranean fish, which he said melted in his mouth & I had the rib eye, cooked to my liking perfectly. Thank you for a wonderful experience. Elyssa was very tentative and friendly.
California Hip Hop artist SpenDoe is back with a new review of amazing establishments! I had the pleasure of enjoying a nice dinner at Echo & Rig, Sacramento. My waiter was Coran! He was awesome, I truly mean that. I dont consume much red meat on a regular basis. I was extremely impressed with their burgers, and the appetizers I ordered. The charred octopus was amazing! I cant wait to go back to Echo & Rig, when Im in the Sacramento area again. The entire staff was great. Everybody does a wonderful job, and I greatly appreciate that. Please visit Echo & Rig, I promise you wont be disappointed!
We came in tonight to celebrate our engagement. the staff at echo and rig made it a night i’ll remember for a long time. we had so much fun and the food was delicious! we want to thank louis for the amazing service! we’ve been coming here for various occasions the past few years, and tonight was definitely the best. thanks again!
If you’re looking for a place with great food, atmosphere, and service, this is the place! Tim is so good to us! Every time we come he takes care of us, Kim is a doll
Meh.... I know that they have big names in the kitchen, I just wasnt blown away. Mac n Cheese and cauliflower were really good. Kim our server was great.
Echo & Rig never disappoints. Their steaks are divine, and their seafood dishes are amazing. This meal we ordered the NY Strip and Tiger Prawns with white wine lemon sauce, artichokes, caper, cherry tomatoes, & parsley. Both were delicious and flavorful. Echo & Rig is our favorite date and family celebration destination.
We went for Sunday brunch at Echo and Rig. The food was very tasty as was the Bloody Mary, highly recommend. They have a bottomless mimosas and bloody Mary option if thats your style also. The thick cut bacon was no joke and could easily be shared with others. Our waiter was very friendly and did a great job. Will definitely visit again.
Our experience was fantastic. The customer service was great and very on it. The ambiance felt as if you had arrived. The food portions are presented separately (meaning your sides do not come included with your main entree) but you will leave very full. The portions are very large. Oh... the dress code is from dressy to casual luxury wear. If you are thinking of eating here youve made a great decision!
A nice dinner with my wife. She had the gnocchi as a starter which was great, my mushroom soup was awesome as well. For dinner we had a few small plates and the sea bass and chicken salad. A good way to go is to order a variety of small plates to share. Desserts are smaller sundays, another good thing to share. Enjoy!
My coworker picked this location for dinner. Holy yum! I ordered thee brisket grilled cheese. She ordered the Over the Rainbow salad with salmon. Both were delicious. For cocktails we ordered the pear martini. Great flavor. Definitely would love a few of these.Great ambiance, friendly friendly servers. Restrooms are located outside in the hotel linby. It’s all very new and very clean. We loved this location.
Came in on a busy Friday night. Was not greeted or even acknowledged for a full 10 to 15 minutes. When we asked the hostess if we could wait for a table for 2, she said they were booked, and fully committed for the entire weekend. But if we wanted to sit at the side bar she would come over and clean it for us. Waiting...another 10 minutes. Finally a bar back/waiter cleared the mess. But never asked if we would like to see a menu. Ugh! Terrible customer service! We left and found the Yardhouse down the way in The Commons. Glad we did leave. We received excellent service at the Yardhouse and the food and drinks were delicious.Im fully committed to Not recommending Echo & Rig to anyone!
Not bad and not great either. I had this eatery on my I want to go list and welp I checked that box. The steaks for being wood fired lacked any resemblance of smoke or seasoning. All of the dishes we had were just that...lacking. They needed a little more umph.
Sat outside to eat because of the state mandate and luckily they had nice heaters and even offered blankets. Service was nice although for some reason slow and didnt have our starter soups for almost an hour after we sat down. Its more about the experience and enjoying your company here so make sure youre with people you like haha. Second time Ive come and I came to meet some new friends after they suggested we eat here. Last time I ordered a filet and it was just ok, and this time I wanted scallops which I saw online however their menu is very limited now. No scallops and instead I ordered the filet again. Tbh Ive had much better..food is just ok in my opinion. Everyone else seemed to love theirs so thats great!
This is the second time we have been here. Lucas was are waiter last year and when we sat down he came over and said happy anniversary and welcome back. We never said anything about this so for him to remember us from last year is definitely amazing. Now too the food. One word awesome..!!!!18 minutes from the strip and one of the best steak houses weve ever been too.cut fresh, grass fed and cooked to perfection. Thanks to all of you 🍷🍷
Had my birthday dinner here recently. Ordered the fillet mignon--cooked beautifully. For being undestaffed, it was a great experience overall. Very classy with a dark feel. Lovely ambiance. My party was very pleased. Will be back!
Thank you to the wonderful & Rig staff for beautiful accommodations, legandary customer service and attention to details. We originally had a reservation for 9 people and last minute 5 more people showed up to join us and we were so pleasantly surprised to see how quick and easy your staff was able to accommodate the change in our party. I also want to thank your staff for making us feel like VIPs and especially so going out of your way to have one of your staff members go up to the third floor to retrieve a propane tank just for that we would be comfortable with the temperature in the patio. The food was savory, prepared with such detail and I have to say one of the best steakhouses in Sacramento. Thank you for everything!!!
A high end experience from the drinks, appetizers, dishes and overall experience. Great steak! Ask for Kim to be your waitress…. Classy experience!
The food is great. The wine program should embarrass the place. Its only slightly better than Outback. Inexcusable
Excellent! New York cut was fabulous. Old fashion smoother than a criminal. And the ambiance was perfect. Wish Covid wouldnt have ruined the whole experience...
Best high class service and food in downtown ❤️
Echo & Rig is Beautiful. We came here for a datenight and we were not disappointed. The interior design of this place is perfect. Its modern, Classy and sophisticated and the food presentation was great and Fantastic!! The employees (from the hostess, manager and server) made sure we are served well and that goes to show that they have a well trained professional team. Thank you Echo and Rig for making our date night awesome!
SUCH ANA AMAZING RESTURANT. WENT THIS PAST WEEKEND FOR ME AND MY HUSBANDS ANNIVERSARY! THEY HAD THE BEST SERVICE, FOOD, DRINKS AND STAFF! KEVIN MADE SURE WE HAD THE BEST EXPERIENCE! CANT WAIT TO GO BACK!
Really great experience, service is fantastic and the burnt ends are killer. Will def come again
Outstanding meals, sea bass and steak, great cocktails, and ridiculously tasty dessert. Also, Brian, one of the best waiters, ever.
Geeat food and ambiance. Our waitress, kim was the best!
3.25 for the food, which is slightly better than okay. Overall the restaurant gets a 4 because of the design, cocktails and service. Our party of four had the gnocchi and grilled octopus to start, both were good. The mushroom and french onion soups were just okay, neither good enough that our table wanted to finish either bowls. For entrees we had the Spencer Cut, a NY, the Babette and a salmon. All well prepared but none outstanding. The only saving grace was the dipping sauces. Our server Deion was extremely professional and did a great job. You could tell he was a seasoned professional. The cocktails while pricey were well presented and were probably our favorite thing of the night. Definitely get the Aperol Spritz. If youre choosing the restaurant strictly on steak, go to RC instead. However if youre in Midtown and want to go somewhere with energy, that is more trendy and fun in comparison to your traditional steakhouse, Echo+Rig is worth the visit whether for the food or just a cocktail.
Sunday late evening, barely half of restaurant is full. More than 15 minutes of wait to be seated. But this not the point. Awful stake with the side of chips (what???!). So so mushroom soup. A bit long wait of each plate. Good Aperol and Old Fashion. This is the only one thing what for i probably come back. Disappointed
Not impressed at all by the demeanor of management as well as staff. Completely not nice and inappropriate behavior. Manager has no sense of hospitality or management. Felt like was in ghetto.
Fantastic food and excellent service! You wont be disappointed.
Food and Service were terrific. The fried spinach salad is a must. We also had the rainbow salad, brussel sprouts, Mac & Cheese, portabello fries, and calimari. Shown is the Spencer steak that we split. The sauces were all excellent, I had the horseradish cream. Service was impeccable. Normally valet parking is available but the lot was full. Instead I was directed to self parking, which is free for the first 2 hours. Not bad, but Uber may have been better.
It took a while but we finally got to try Echo and Rig on a nice warm afternoon for my birthday. We had reservations and I think every single person that stopped by our table greeted me a happy birthday, including the manager! Their service was really top notch and memorable. The prices werent as steep as I expected. Its not a place for an everyday meal, but the prices are reasonable for a special occasion or date night. Each table gets fresh sourdough bread, which came out nice and warm! We started off with the bone marrow carne asada, which is on their small plates menu. The bone marrow was juicy and flavorful, but the carne asada was too seared for my preference and it gave off a charred taste that I didnt enjoy too much. For my main meal, I went with the horseradish crusted butterfish. The fish was flaky and I enjoyed the outer crust. The sauce on the plate was just enough without drenching the fish, and the parsnips were a nice addition of texture. I know, I didnt order steak at a steakhouse, but I did get to taste my fiances bavette steak, and it was very juicy, but also too seared for my personal liking. The outside was completely dark. I washed down my meal with a Tiger Woods drink, which is their house iced tropical green tea with lemonade. The tea was steeped to order so it was light and not too sweet.Be sure to inquire about their cuts of the day, because they will bring out a tray of their options for the day and you can actually pick which one youd like to have them cook! They are pricier at $2-3 per oz but the experience of choosing your own is pretty neat. At the end of the meal, they even brought out a birthday dessert which was really yummy!Ive had better food but Echo & Rig is definitely a solid choice for a nicer sit down restaurant, and they have an awesome location in the heart of DOCO!
Their Mac n Cheese and steaks are amazing!! But it is not all home runs, While I like their chips, when I’m eating a meal like a steak or something I need something a bit warmer and substantial to compliment my meal.
Too much drama in this place. We couldnt even enjoy our dinner without listening to the waitress talking bad about the owners.
Steaks are excellent! Great place for a date! Staff is amazing!
My Wife and I went to Echo & Rig Went as soon as dining opened up for indoor diniing Post-COVID19 for our wedding anniversary. The ambiance is great, with the DOCO surrounding you have live music and a lot of great people watching. The team at Echo & Rig is outstanding. Everybody is welcoming and friendly. I mean everyone, from the host to the manager. When I walked by the kitchen the chef nodded at me. Echo & Rig is a steakhouse, and my wife and I test the cooks well, she likes medium well and I like code blue. Both steaks came out perfect. The medium well was well but not dry, the extra rare was crisp on the edge and red throughout. They also had a good spice and smoke to them. We had the brussel sprouts and the calliflower as side dishes. The calliflower dish has a spicy kick, and the brussel sprouts make you believe that you are not eating brussel sprouts. Thank you Brian for a great meal and evening. We look forward to dining with you again!
This place is so awesome will be coming back
We went to Echo and Rig for a birthday dinner looking for great service and food. While the food was delicious the service was a fiasco. The restaurant was not busy and yet the staff and service was slow and inattentive; bartender and bar back did/would not take a moment to serve us and waited and watched as servers chit chat while drinks get hot and food cold. Upon complaining to the manager service then improved but it was too little too late. Needless to say we will not be dining at Echo and Rig ever again in the future. A true disappointment and waste of money.
My favorite thing about this place was the awesome staff. Unfortunately they chose to get rid all of them, in a pandemic without telling any of them. Theyre only aware of the reopening due to the recent social media posts. Terrible way to treat their employees who treated the customers so well.
We came here on our 35th anniversary...I made a reservation for 6:00. They tried to seat us by the kitchen... when I asked for a different location, they seated us in a 2 top that was awkwardly placed next to an empty 4 top. I asked for that location and they said it was reserved for group of 4. The GM assured us that his hostesses would only seat 4s in that location, 15 minutes later the hostess seated a party of 2 at the table that was supposed to be for 4. While the gesture of champagne and dessert, as compensation, was kind... we would have preferred the more intimate location to celebrate a special anniversary. As we left...I noticed several 4 top locations were seated with parties of 2.
You have to try the pork burnt ends🤯 Amazing
Love this place...great food and surprisingly affordable prices. Great steaks and many veggie options as well. Very impressed with the serviceGreat bartending staff. I always sit at the bar. Like the vibe there...less formal. The prime cut Flat Iron steak sandwich will melt in your mouth. At $14 you cant beat that!Note that it is crazy busy when there are events at Golden One.it is right next to it. Best to come after 8pm if there is something going on.Enjoy!!!
Wouldnt come back!We had dinner reservations for our anniversary. I called ahead and was told we could valet that evening (you dont actually talk to anyone at the restaurant, it must be an answering service). We arrived about 10 minutes early, and after waiting in a long line of cars they told us that we could not valet. All the parking in the area was $25 (due to the arena nearby). When we arrived I told the host / manager (Jeremy) that we were late due to the parking situation. He proceeded to make a snarky comment about how they thought they had lost us, and how now we have three groups ahead of us and well have to wait.We were seated at an uncleaned table (they were very apologetic). They were all out of oysters, and our $90 steak came out cold. The spinach was hot and delicious, but the steak had rested too long and was too cold to eat. We packed it up and went elsewhere to enjoy the rest of our evening.Liza our server was outstanding - its unfortunate that she had to constantly apologize for a poorly run restaurant. We had high hopes for this place, but wont be back!
Very nice place. Food was great. Steak options were quite good. Sides were good also. I ate one of the steak salad options with blue cheese. They make it with the meat on the side of the salad so you have control over each bit. Mmm. Drinks were good but we did not really test that aspect. The staff were good and helpful.
Ambiance, service, location were excellent. Food was a bit less well executed but pork chop was good and half chicken was moist. Octopus was very bland and dull and was sent back. Great spot for a Kings game right next to the stadium. Will be back for drinks. Prices were reasonable for the type of restaurant and menu offered not your typical fare of items.
Its not a location for a daily dish, but the costs are reasonable for an unique occasion or date night. I cleaned down my meal with a Tiger Woods drink, which is their residence cold exotic green tea with lemonade. At the end of the meal, they even brought out a birthday celebration dessert which was truly scrumptious!
Came here for a birthday lunch celebration. Staff was great and even gave us a complimentary ice cream dessert! However the rating is for the food. Chef special brisket was super dry and the steak from the steak and frites plate was chewy (although well-seasoned). I’m sure dinner is way better but I will not be back for lunch.
Excellent menu and wine list choices coupled with attentive service made this a very fun and enjoyable night for our party of 5. If you like steak and want something you dont always see on a menu try the Spencer Cut... it was a hit!
We had a reservation and were seated immediately for a colleagues Birthday lunch. Our waiter Dustin was very attentive and delivered excellent service. We all ordered something different from salads, to sandwiches, to steak and were all pleased with our meals. Dustin even showed up after the meal with a birthday dessert for sharing. We will be back!
Hospitality (Ally) was excellent. Steak was superb. Didnt give you 5-stars because the dessert was not so good. You may want to consider some good-ole fashioned southern peach cobbler, or pecan pie. Other than that, you did 👍 good!
Very clean and welcoming spot. They provide large meals and for affordable rates. I loved the meals very much and the waiters were super attentive and informative. Highly recommended.
I had an excellent time in this spot. We liked the first-rate atmosphere and the menu. The waiters were super attentive. I’m glad we ultimately managed to eat here.
Had a wonderful meal! Food was great and the service was awesome!!!
Great atmosphere and service. Loved the family style sides. The mac-n-cheese is absolutely wonderful. Loved that even though the restaurant was full we were able to hear ourselves speak at a table of six. Look forward to going back for more cocktails and mac-n-cheese
Time here as well as for an unique celebration. The food was 3.5/ 5 - I truly liked my salmon and also the sides we ordered including the bone marrow. My guy claimed the steak for the cut was a little too lean and he liked various other steak houses. The solution was 3/5 - Im not sure if its cause it was a Tuesday evening as well as not that hectic however our web server was definitely tough to flag down also when he was standing speaking to the various other servers he wasnt examining on our table. The hostesses were additionally much less than welcoming when we went into. Based upon other reviews I have actually seen the service is either exceptional or otherwise, last evening was just alright service. Given that I really liked my food Im giving 4 stars. I might come back due to the fact that I simulated their food selection.
Amazing place to have dinner before a show at Golden 1. Sat at the bar because tables were by reservation only. Our bartender, Desiree, was top notch. First class service, cocktails, and excellent dinner on a very busy night of a concert at Golden 1. I will definitely be back!
Go see Kim, she was awesome!
Today I tried for the first time Echo&Rig... Very disappointed the tall blonde bartender on shift at 3pm 1/17/2019 gave one of the worst guest experiences of my life. No 30 second greet walked passed me a manager from the restaurant came up about 5 min later. I ordered a Shirley Temple that came after my food was already out. The Texas style smoked brisket with white grits was nothing like the description. The bartender brought out the check without asking if I wanted a drink refill or offering dessert. He gets an attitude clears the table and walks away with the check he made. I ordered the apple pie sundae as that’s what they offered in winter. It list it comes with “apple syrup” it literally came as a shortbread cookie, whipped cream, sliced apples, NO SUGAR OR CINNAMON, and Ice cream. I asked about the cinnamon and sugar, the apple syrup listed, as the food was not what I expected the service was bad. Overall not good... The experience should be about the guest and the food. Kevin Owens redeemed them on the service side.
Erica was amazing. We had breakfast there for the first time. Enjoyed the food. Very delicious and price is reasonable. Will be coming back
Always a good experience. Some of the sides are a little too sweet for my taste. They recommend eating family style. A tomahawk and filet are perfect for four people. Great cocktails. Stellar bartenders. Wonderful service. And no corkage! Definitely worth a visit.
Food was subpar, but the main reason for the one star was the rudeness during the service given that one of us is vegetarian. There was absolutely no need for it when my table was super polite and patient. It was not an enjoyable time.
My husband and I were in Sacramento for business and had the pleasure of staying at the Kimpton Sawyer and ate at Echo & Rig. The food and service were exceptional! Our waitress, Kim, was knowledgeable and kind. My husband ordered the Spencer steak and it was better than many filets we’ve had, I highly recommend getting the blue cheese sauce with it. I ordered the giant prawns and it was not only beautifully plated, but perfectly cooked with delicious garlic potatoes, capers and tomatoes. It was awesome! I highly recommend Echo & Rig, super friendly staff, great location, with lovely outside seating.
Two meals while staying at the Kimpton in downtown Sacramento. Both were excellent. Great service. However, both times involved excessive waiting for hostesses to stop fiddling with the computer before seating us and our guests. It appears that they spend entirely too much time playing with their computers while customers are standing there. We went for a late lunch in an almost empty restaurant. Hostess asked if we had a reservation. I said no. She took another 10 minutes before being seated fiddling with the computer. We went to brunch the next morning. This time I had called ahead and made a reservation. We all arrived, on time for our reservation and they couldn’t find it. Too many managers not managing.Excellent food and table service. Kudos to Isiah, who was especially good.
The service is great. Stayed at the hotel. They allowed me to bring in my wine from the “wine hour” lobby which was nice. The bar hostess Melissa was very attentive and secured seating for us even on a night when they were fully committed. Melissa had a great personality and was very helpful throughout our dining experience. I had the spencer steak and my wife had the rib eye. Both were delicious. Prices are reasonable for the quality of food and service. Will definitely be back again.
Absolutely wonderful lunch and service! Reasonable Prices. Great Staff! Xavier especially was so kind and personable! 🥩❤️
Excellent service from both Eryk and Dion. The food was great as well for the pricing. Highly recommend would come back. Not high scale as you would think but could fall under the category of fine dining
Okay to go once, but would not come back due to experience. As others have said, even a large party wont be seated if one remaining guest hasnt arrived. I noticed we were treated very coldly when seated. The drinks took a long time to arrive, there was some issue with the coffee and beer ordered but it was honestly too loud to understand. Food took longer; an hour after seating for arrived. Brunch menu was okay.Server did a great job of keeping up on requests and splitting the check. I feel organizational decisions and management of the location was responsible for my not coming back.
Nice place to think about business. Had a friend come into town and asked me to take him here again. Prices were decent.
Excellent!! Brisket hash is a chefs pick in the menu. The cook seasoned the hash well in a sauce which kept it moist and flavorful. Then along with cuts of brisket and poached eggs atop makes this a hearty meal.
Superb. Every new restaurant has its growing pains, but this one truly has its act together. Not pretentious, just classy from start to finish. Great food, great prices, and even better people.
This spot is excellent! Reasonable prices, large dishes and the staff are regularly very friendly.
Great service, food is exquisite! Its a fun spot for any date night dinner
Arrived at seven, it wasnt crowded. There was quick, helpful, and friendly service. Prices were average for the menu. Feels like a place in Charlotte that I enjoyed visiting.
Excellent service, our party was made to feel like VIPs and we loved it. The food was fabulous as well.I give it 5 stars!
Food with real quality ingredients. i will be back with my friends. this place has a good design. i can see why they have so many good reviews.
Great food, better service. Everything was above what was expected. Would definitely come back to try other things off the menu.
Fire!!! Great combination of quality food and value. Skirt steak was delicious, also highly recommend the portobello fires and pork belly apps!
Had an average at best meal here last night. Took over an hour from when we sat down to get our food. $9 fries were from the bottom of the basket, tiny chunks. Charged for a tea we didn’t order. Restrooms aren’t in the restaurant. Steaks and burgers were good but don’t think I’ll return.
Great service. Amazing food. Beautiful ambience. Is definitely come here again
We ate at the Las Vegas location multiple times so when we heard they were opening one in Sac, we had to try it. It did not disappoint. Food 5/5, service 5/5, ambiance 5/5, value 5/5. It was nothing short of perfect. We had the drunken goat sandwich, brisket hash and Portabello mushroom fries. Everything was delicious! Great prices for the quality of food you get. I 100% recommend eating here and will continue to come here. I’ve lived in Sac for 5 months now and Echo & Rig is my favorite restaurant.
Just had a fabulous birthday dinner here. The food was perfect. The service was surperb. The décor is excellent. I cant say enough nice things about this restaurant. Highly recommended!!
Service is amazing. We don’t eat meat but the veggies are off the hook delicious. Portobello fries and Brussels are my fav.
Excellent spot to spend time alone or talk business. The service here is attentive. It has a cool feel to it.
Piper, Taylor, Chris & Isaiah are the best! Thank you all for making our experience at Echo & Rig amazing! Will be back for that Avocado Toast 😋
Holy moly was I impressed! The service was astonishing the food was incredible. We will be back!
