I have had all of my cars serviced at Personal Auto for over 30 years now. Mark (owner) has always been prompt, thorough and completely informative. Not to mention he is quite courteous and super knowledgeable about anything cars. You really will never find anyone with more knowledge about automobiles. He has always told me EXACTLY what was wrong, what it would take to repair, precisely how much it would cost for that repair and when it would be done. Hes never been wrong with this in over 30 years. His diagnosis have always been spot on. And his repairs always stay repaired. I very highly recommend Personal Auto and I have the highest degree of trust in Mark. You really will not be steered wrong here.

Mansplain much? My daughter dropped off the 2003 Mustang V8 she has been borrowing before her vacation to get looked at and a 50 point inspection. It was running rough due to an issue with the spark plugs. She is 19 and not as experienced with cars or mechanics as her father and I. She has used Mark before and liked the result.I am working and am not currently in Florida. Due to my contract I could not make it back to Florida to deal with the car, yet. I did not meet Mark myself. I know my Mustang like the back of my hand. I had been repairing her coils and other old broken parts. A replacement upgrade engine is already on its way to a performance car mechanic in my town ( Not Safety Harbor.) I didnt want us to waste money. We just needed the spark plugs replaced & threaded. The coils are brand new.Mark opened the conversation with a 3-minute long list of everything wrong with the engine. ( All of which I knew before the phone rang hence the new engine) I asked Mark to fix the plugs only and put coolant in her. He continued to try to upsell. When I wasnt taking the bait, he said there is no point in doing the work.I agreed to have the car picked up by my daughter when she returned from her trip, to which he mentioned there was a storage fee. He also admitted to not warning my daughter about the cost, and she did not ask about the storage price. Everyone knows about storage fees and can read, and its in the contract she signed was Markss response to my question. I had reminded my daughter several times to ask. Mark proved not only was he aware my daughter was naïve about storage costs, he intended to take advantage of that naivety.Between throwing my daughter under the bus, a bait and switch, and mansplaining. I would advise anyone to use a mechanic with better communication skills and will not assume a woman doesnt t know anything about cars.

Good mechanic knows what hes doing then get you an answer about your vehicle same day as long as its not too busy. And he is very prompt with his return calls

Been using him since probably 2013 & never had any problems with him. Hes open every Saturday, barring holidays etc, from 8:00 to 6:00 and just like Monday through Friday

Three of my neighbors told me about Marks shop. They did a great job. I was never pressured to get more work done than was needed. The price was very affordable. I have been looking for an honest auto mechanic since Ive moved to this area. I was so impressed with Mark and the work they preformed he will continue to get all of my all business from now on. Ive been going to mark since i was a teenager. Fair prices,good work, and they always do 55 point expection which is nice. The only downfall of the auto shop is they dont give you a finish time ive never had my car finish earlier than 6 hours even for a routine oil change. Many times ive had my car there over a day or over the weekend which hinders where i can go and alters how ill get to work. Besides that mark is a reliable and honest mechanic.

If you like not being told what is wrong with your car go here, this is the place you want to be. They’ll make it seem like your car is fixed when in actuality it’s just rigged and will more than likely never actually last . I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy . Coming back to have the issue fixed again for free still isn’t worth going . It maybe worse than you think .

Great men running this place! Honest, they use good parts, and they dont overcharge for easy to fix services. Their location is within walking distance to Main St. downtown Safety Harbor. Last time, I hung out a couple hours at Copperheads while they did my brakes. I told them no rush since I had the day off but it was done in a good amount of time for a fair cost. They are worth every penny I give them and I hope they stay humble. :) Im a very happy customer.

Mark is my go-to mechanic. They always take great care of my car, and he is an honest owner. He always calls to confirm what work you want done before getting started, and he never tries to convince you to have unnecessary work done. Every oil change includes a safety check. I trust him, and that means a lot in this business.

I have five work trucks from my business as well as our personal vehicles that we take to Mark for repairs and maintenance. I was having trouble with other repair shops doing work correctly and having to take things back in. A friend recommended them to me. We had a Ford F-150 pick-up that had nothing but problems and was in and out of different shops. I took it in and Mark gave it a good going over and told me what needed to be done. After the work my tech who drives it told me it felt like a new truck. I have had a lot of vehicles here in the last two years and everything is always done correctly. I trust Mark when he tells me something needs to be done to keep all my vehicles running well.

Dropped off car on a Friday and was told Tuesday at the latest. Its now Thursday after business hours and we were told its not ready because they stop what they are doing to work on all the little projects that come in the shop. So, not only do we have $100 in uber charges (not counting the weekend or Monday and Tuesday), but we still dont have our vehicle and EDIT: they called and said by tonight. I had two other shops say they would have had it ready by now since our vehicle was there first. I would understand if the issue was with the car, but the mechanic said its because they stop to change tires and work on whatever comes in the shop. EDIT AGAIN: Its been seven days to change a water pump that is a seven hour job.

I take my vehicles there for regular maintenance. Today my truck started making a horrible sound in/near the engine. I went there to set an appointment but they looked at it right away. Turns out it was a minor fix involving a few rivets. They wouldn’t even let me pay!!! Love this place...will continue to go there in the future....
