I would always like walking by Unique Engineering and Repair to see the classic cars that they were working on. Because of this, and the convenient location, I assumed that it would be an expensive place for basic repairs. This is not the case at all! I’ve taken my car there three times now and have been beyond satisfied with the work and price each time. At this shop I’ve had a minor repair done, an oil change and what I would consider an intermediate issue diagnosed. The owners are incredibly friendly, fair and honest. They didn’t even charge me for the diagnosis they performed in that they told me it didn’t take them long to get to the bottom of it. This was quite unexpected. If you stop by and no one is at the front desk, just walk in as it seems the two owners are the primary mechanics, which is I’m sure how they keep their prices down.

Love this place! Tony and Derek are the best, most accommodating, knowledgeable, honest auto mechanics in Pinellas County. Located in Safety Harbor, drop your vehicle off, wander around quaint Safety Harbor for an hour, Tony calls and tells you your car is done, and, voila! They Will tell you if you need anything extra done but WILL NOT pressure you into it right then!! Shop is located right on Main Street in the middle of all of the shops and restaurants. Great way to pass time while your car is being serviced. They always treat my car as if it were their own. NOTHING BUT QUALITY SERVICE. I won go anywhere else! I live almost 30 mins from the shop but its TOTALLY worth the drive!

Tony and his crew are outstanding. He has been taking care of my vehicles since I moved to Safety Harbor in 2001. He always repairs them correct the first time keeping us moving, and forever tracks the repairs that have been made so you keep up to date with your vehicles service that comes due. Also he has never called me saying he is waiting on parts, because he doesnt waste his time or yours. They have been in business since 1979. Added benefit: they are located in downtown Safety Harbor so you can walk to the shops and restaurants while you wait. Much better than the typical auto repair waiting room!

Just moved to the area from nyc.brought my car in cuz i thought it needed brakes. he gave me a fair price and i told him to do it. he then checked the brake pads and saw they didnt need changed. he took the car for a test drive and checked them again. he said. id love to sell ya brake pads but u dont need them. i almost fell over. an honest mechanic? ur kidding right? no hes not kidding. hes got my business now. #honestmechanic

I read the reviews and decided to get an estimate which turned out to be standing around for 15 minutes while the technician TOTALLY ignored me. ( 3 people in the shop and im one of them) He walks right past me apparently not even aware that another customer was in the shop. HEY heres a tip for you. how about trying something like this i be with you in a second. or `i real busy walking this customer out and dont know how to talk to 2 people at once . lousy SERVICE!!!!!
