Things worked out well. What I really appreciated was that the sales person didnt try to up sale me like the other stores did. He didnt say dont look at price tags just test beds for comfort. Hate that pitch. I wanted a back up single bed and the other salesmen were starting at 1000.00 plus. Needless to say I discovered mattress world and a deal was made and the bed works well.

The woman who was “helping” us today was clearly wearing a fake mask (piece of mesh) and was not socially distancing from my partner. She also couldn’t take the hint that we no longer wanted her hovering and took too long before she gave us some space. Definitely won’t be returning.

Do NOT even think of going to a store other than this one! I was helped by Londa, and she took all the time we needed for me to make a decision on what bedding is best for us. I was especially impressed by Londas statement that she likes to help people. This is obviously a plus when in other stores one is made to feel like they are merely customers that might buy something. We had a great experience at mattress world just a couple days before xmas. We were immediately greeted and taking care of just before closing time we felt listened to and loved how they worked to get us a good deal on mattresses for our kids. Londa was amazing start to finish. We arrived witth our son to try out mattresses late in the day. She was patient, thourough and clearly very knowledgeable. When we had come to our last three options but not quite ready to buy, she wrote them all out for us and never made us feel rushed. A week or so later we decided to pull the trigger on one. I called her and we negotiated the final details.We loved working local and still getting a great price. Having the support from Londa meant a lot as well. We felt confident in our purchase and have really enjoyed it!Great mattress, great service. We totally recommend this place.

I recently moved to town and was using an Aerobed which is great in a pinch but not so much for long term sleeping. I had ordered another bed online but my back was hurting so badly that I felt I had to get a bed sooner. I found Mattress World while driving down Commercial avenue so I decided to stop in to try my luck. Debbie provided me top notch customer service! I tried out various beds and she gave me the pros and cons to each. I wound up with a Sterns & Foster which I love. Debbie made sure I got the best deal possible and gave me her contact information in case I had any additional questions. I will shop here again.

I have had a bad experience with mattress world and would never go there again. They allow you to try out a mattress at home for a certain length of time. But if it is not the correct fit, they charge $200 to restock a mattress and a $70 delivery fee. Ouch!

We had the most personalized experience with Debbie, she was an amazingly professional and personally spent time teaching us about the best comfort for our lifestyle. She helped us get two new beds one for our guest room and the perfect bed for us. She went above and beyond to provide us the best prices. I purchased a bed at Mattress World Northwest and got excellent service all around from the showroom to the delivery. Unfortunately, the mattress I purchased started to sag within two months (not Mattress Worlds fault, of course). So, I submitted a warranty claim through the store itself (they dont have you deal with the manufacturer directly) and that was super easy and staff was very helpful. The whole process was so simple and convenient it seemed to good to be true. The manufacturer approved the claim and I went in to the store to pick a replacement mattress. It was there I found out that Id have to pay hundreds more dollars to get a mattress of the same quality. Stores like Mattress World offer deep discounts and have continuous sales so the price on the tag is never even close to what the customer pays. When I went to pick out a replacement they informed me that for exchanges (even warranty exchanges where the mattress is defective), they will only exchange for a mattress at full tag price. This means that a $650 mattress is now $950. So to get a mattress comparable to the one I had to begin with, I had to pay $300 (which I did, because I had no other choice - there are no refunds, only store credit). And if Id wanted to avoid paying anything, Id have to select a much lower-quality mattress that had a full tag price close to the discounted price of my original purchase. Theres nothing I can do to recoup my money now, but next time I will purchase somewhere I can get a straight money-back refund so I dont get ambushed with extra costs later. The employees are great, but the business model is flawed.

After reading a few reviews online, I decided to try here first since it was the closest to my house with best reviews. Ed helped me and first started off by asking me about my sleeping positions and the bed I was currently on. He then explained to me about the different types of beds and how they all work, keep in mind I have never bought a new bed before so I had absolutely no idea what I was doing. Ed was amazing! He had me lay on 7 or 8 different beds from all price ranges so I could feel all the differences. He narrowed it down to the 3 I slept best on. The difference in price between the least and most expensive was roughly $1000. Ed told me up front he wouldnt make a recommendation just to make the sale on a more expensive bed. I ended buying the most expensive of the 3 but it was by my choice, not his. I would recommend anyone who is buying a bed to go buy one from Ed. The dude knows his stuff! If I ever need another bed I will buy from Ed! Thanks again.

I went to a different mattress store the day before and was given somewhat rude service because my children were with me. It was enough that we decided to leave. The next day, we went here and the salesman patiently explained the pros and cons of about 20 different styles and we left really feeling like we got the best one for us. It was really great to have someone that took pride in their work. I will come back if I need another mattress.

I have back & hip issues so finding a bed is hard. I went in Mattress World on Lancaster in Salem and was greeted by a friendly sales associate who listened to my needs and helped me find the perfect mattress for me, rather than trying to sell the most expensive.His name was Jimmy and I found out he is the store manager. Shopping there was a much more pleasant experience than other stores I tried. Prices were reasonable as well.Want to add that the delivery guys were on time, professional, quick, and took all trash with them. They were awesome!

I came in to mattress world after having issues somewhere else. Rudy Helped me immensely. Unlike the other stores I visited (which were 5) he taught me about sleeping, different types of beds, and seemed well educated on how to help people find the correct type of bed for their body type and sleeping styles. The first bed he actually showed me was was cheaper then the bed I ended up buying. What I am getting at is he was actually trying to make me satisfied and not just to make money. I felt he was honest and unlike the previous mattress store I purchased from he was through about their polices. I would highly recommend this particular mattress store, especially with Rudy I can not speak for another employer.

Ed was awesome in assisting me to find a mattress that fit my needs. I was really surprised to not be immediately asked what my budget was when I walked in the door unlike other places.I wasnt looking to spend a lot of money and didnt want to immediately be taken near the top of my budget. I was asked to lay on different beds of different makes/models/materials. He listened to my concerns and issues with my current mattress to offer suggestions. After laying on the top two of my choices I made me decision and had my new bed. The process here was much more pleasant and professional than other mattress stores I have been to. I would highly recommend that you start here when shopping for a new mattress. Best service around.

They helped fix the problem from the lancaster store. It took quite a while to get my mattresses but Debbie did a great job of communicating.

Debbie was very helpful and professional. They honored online pricing (including an online discount), so we didnt pay any more than we would have ordering directly from the manufacturer.

After having increasing trouble sleeping, then figuring out the mattress Id been sleeping on as long as I could remember was somewhere around 50-60 years old, I was faced with mattress shopping for the first time. I visited the Mattress World Northwest on Commercial Street SE and Edward Nalley did a fantastic job helping me go through the process of finding a mattress that fit my needs and my price range; because I have an older irregular-size bed, he also helped make sure the boxspring and mattress I selected would fit the frame. Two months in and Im sleeping much, much better - a very satisfied customer. When the time comes to purchase again, Ill head for Mattress World Northwest.

I went in spontaneously cause I got a new bed frame and my old mattress didn’t fit. And I was helped by a very professional gentleman named Jason and he showed me some beds and really listened to what I wanted and I explained to him I needed a bed ASAP. The one bed I wanted wasn’t in stock for over a week so he said if I went with my second choice he would match the price and get it delivered to me the next day. He broke down my payment plan and explained everything to me well. I even showed him my bed frame and he got me everything I would need for my bed to fit in there. They delivered it on time and they even give you a time frame of delivery and give you a 15 min arrival warning call which was nice. The men that delivered my mattress were friendly super fast and effiecent as well. In and out in 3 mins or less and disposed of my old mattress. From what I could tell in all of Salem this place has the best prices and great customer service to match. If you want a matress that works best for you at a affordable price this is the place !

My boyfriend and I were in a store near by and decided to check out prices at the mattress store. We we greeted when we walked in. Not with the normal, what can I do for you, what are you looking for ; but with a warm, hey guys, how are you? This gentleman, Rudy, was very polite and down to earth. His body language matched his demeanor. My boyfriend, engaged in conversation about what we were looking for, Rudy took us to the section we were inquiring about. He asked a few questions to help him understand why we needed a new mattress and what would fit our needs. We landed down to two mattresses. While my boyfriend checked out the two, I engaged in conversation with Rudy. Instead of standing over us at the beds pushing for an upsale, Rudy sat on a bed close by and and gave tid bit facts of the two matresses. There was chatting as well, he wore a genuine smile and maintained a calm attitude. There was no back an forth to the computer to check for sales or discounts, he knew his information. He didnt push to buy it right then we told him we were starting the process of looking for one. He rolled with it.In total, we went to three stores, no one matched Rudys level of person centered-ness. The other two stores were all to ready to push for an upsale and how fast they could deliver it.When we went back to see Rudy again, he wasnt there. His coworker (for the life of me i cant remeber rudys co workets name....sorry) let us know when hed be back. We talked to him about the outstanding service wed received and prefer to work with Rudy. He gave us the same outstanding service Rudy did. He told us Rudys days and when to come back. We chatted for a few before we left feeling confident in our discussion of where to make our purchase. While we were driving hime, we also decided when we needed a new mattress this store would be where we would get it from.
