Jeff is one of those old-school mechanics who thoroughly diagnose the problem, rather than merely slap on a new part and hope it works. We were travelling back to Montana and limped into SLC with serious overheating problems on our 2005 Chevy Silverado 2500HD Duramax. By carefully studying the readings on his computer, Jeff determined that the overheating was caused by a bad turbo-boost sensor and he was right on. No trial & error with this guy! After we took a thorough test drive up a steep mountain pass, the turbo worked perfectly and it looked to me like the overheating was solved, but Jeff wasnt quite satisfied with the temperature readings. It turned out we also needed a new radiator, which he was able to quickly replace. Back on the road again, thanks to Jeff at Impact Auto. Thank you Jeff and Monster (the awesome shop dog)!

I have a powerstroke 6.0 thats a difficult engine to diagnose problems. First mechanic I took it to couldnt figure out out the issue and I had gone through a bunch of diagnostic tests myself with no luck in figuring it out. They diagnosed the issue (catalytic converter clogged with soot restricted the exhaust, but the symptom was over fueling) and got my truck back running in short order. Theres certain engines that really benefit from an expert with experience who doesnt just start replacing parts until they find the problem. This was one of those times where experience and knowledge of a complex diesel engine was really helpful and saved me a lot of headaches!

These guys quickly diagnosed & fixed what my local shop could not. They know their stuff. If you are looking for a good diesel mechanic, look no further. They saved the first camping trip of spring for me.

Guy running things is great. Really easy to talk to salt of the Earth kinda guy that helped me figure out an easy and inexpensive fix for the problem I had.

I went here without notice on a Friday afternoon and the owner looked at my vehicle and told me a very low cost, nearly $400 less than the last bid I received. Then he had to wait for the part to come in and he went in on a Saturday when the shop is normally closed and fixed my vehicle. I strongly recommend this place to everyone!!!

Took my Cummins 2500 diesel here. Got it fixed for an honest and affordable price. He didnt try to add any unnecessary charges like other repair shops to. Jeff is very knowledgeable about the dodge diesel truck. Honest shop. Will definitely take my truck back again.

Jeff and Danielle are great people! Unfortunately the repairs for my ambulance camper were too expensive for me since the Frankenstein- engine build would require an engine pull to repair. but they were super helpful in trying to find other ways to fix it. The let me store it there while trying to decide what I was going to do. They were very helpful and kept their word to only bill me for 4hrs of work, even though they put in much more. They also tried to help me find affordable storage for van and better insurance options. Although my ambulance van has been a nightmare, Jeff and Danielle have been great to work with!

My Chevy Duramax started leaking oil which at the rear main seal. We were staying at the KOA and only had one vehicle so we appreciate how accommodating they were with our urgency and schedules. I waited 3 months to write this review to ensure my repair was done right and Im happy to say Ive had no leaks since. Id take my vehicle back there if we were ever back that way. Next time Id pay cash to avoid the CC recovery fee though.

Ive taken my truck to these guys for a bunch of different stuff from suspension to an engine replacement and they always crank it out with fast and quality work. 10/10 would recommend.

The two bad reviews are for a shop in Idaho. Jeff knows his stuff and they only charge $115/hr. whereas the other shops charge $135+.I brought in a 6.0L I was considering purchasing and they walked me through everything, did blowby tests, pulled turbo, etc and only charged me $65.

Jeff is a very knowledgeable mechanic. He is the only one I trust to work on my personal vehicles and work trucks. He is trustworthy and fair on prices.
