I’ve used this company many times to get car audio work as well as tinting done. I’ve never had anything to worry about with their quality of work. The staff is great, no one is rude or looks down their nose at you if you’re not very knowledgeable about car audio. I would recommend car concepts to anyone and everyone.

Ive been going to car concepts for at least the past 10 years. Theyve always gone above and beyond for any service weve had them perform. theyre always extremely helpful, and capable with plenty of knowledge to tackle whatever project you bring to them. Today, Caleb helped me work out a wiring problem in my project car. It had us both stumped, but he persevered and was able to fix the problem. He was extremely professional and employees like Caleb will ensure I am a car concepts customer for life.

Im not even sure where to begin but I absolutely love this place. I went with what I considered a huge expense and a big problem with my Cadillac Escalade TVs they werent working. Don’t go anywhere else for car audio! I’ve had speakers and amps installed at three different places in salt lake county and Car Concepts is by far the best place I’ve been too. Had such a great experience with Car Concepts I feel the need to let everyone know. I needed my windows tinted last minute today. A friend of mine recommended them and gave me their number. I immediately contacted them, and to my surprise they got me in immediately. Within 2 hours they were finished, and the tint looked amazing! I took my car in with poor sound quality issues. They took the time to check out the issues rather than just try and sell me a bunch of parts and install labor. They repaired the wiring problems (left by the previous owners installation) and installed a back up camera. My final price was less that the quoted amount. Great people to work with.

These guys are awesome! I purchased a viper remote start system from them two years ago. My battery died and my key fob stopped working. I brought it in and not only did they fix the key fob, replace the battery in the key fob, programmed a new key fob for me, but did so all at no additional charge. I purchased this and had it installed two years ago!!!!! What happened wasn’t in any way their faults. I completely expected to pay for an hour or more of labor when I brought my truck in. They absolutely took care of me and I will always come back if I have a car audio lead.

True professionals. I worked with Kalob to get new speakers, a sub and an amp. He easily got me exactly what I wanted and stayed within my budget. The instal was amazingly quick and easy, getting it all done on the same day.

Used to be a great place to take my cars,trucks and boats too. But......Had my brandnew Axis boat in for a new audio system. At first everything seemed well done. First time on the lake the audio system had engine noise buzzing thru all speakers. Took it back for repair and took sometime for them to figure it out. Went out again and none of my ballast tanks or lighting would work. Called and talked with Kalob and the installers and they assured me they didnt touch anything other than the audio system. Took my boat to the dealer and come to find out Car Concepts hacked into the main wiring harness incorrectly. this fried my main fuse panels and the key pads for my ballast and lights. Car concepts didnt use the correct harnesses they just cut into what ever wires they could. All in all this cost me $5000 to repair my boat, repair all the wiring on the Audio system and lost most of our boating season. horrible experience. seems since ownership and management changes its gone down hill.

My husband and I bought a used 2009 Subaru outback in February. Its a great car, but we were having troubles with the amp which was built into the head unit of the vehicle. We took it to many places to have them look at getting the head unit replaced. Turns out, it was super complicated and no other business would attempt it without us putting in over $2k. We took it to car concepts and they knew what needed to be done. We had to order a special part from Japan, and had to wait until the part showed up to get it fixed. It took them almost a full day, but they were able to change out the old head unit and put in the new one! All of the issues we were having was gone, and it was done for under $1k.I HIGHLY recommend them!

I got some vehicle wrap from these guys- everyone there is very nice and open to help. High quality wrap, and for sound systems everyone I’ve talked to says these guys are the best.

Disappointed in this shop. I was traveling through and wanted a Drone module added to my existing Compustar ‘brain’.They didn’t test the equipment after the install. The Drone unit turned out to be incompatible with my existing brain. I wasted several hundred $$ for something that should have been tested at the shop.When I initially tried to figure out the issue I had a lot of difficulty getting the sales guy to call me back. After multiple calls to the salesman he said that he would look into it (yet never called me back). He also made the comment that he’s not sure what the issue could be because they ‘just install the unit”.That did it for me, I would strongly NOT RECOMMEND car concepts for poor customer service and failing to test the equipment after install.

Above and beyond Customer Service! A penny fell into lighter socket inside of my son’s car and caused a fuse to blow. Because we’d purchased an amp to power a woofer within this car from them, Car Concept’s team was not only happy to replace the fuse but also didn’t charge us to do so; choosing to cover it under our amp/install warranty! WOW!! Thank you Lindsey, Noel & Car Concepts team for being so stellar at what you do - we couldn’t be happier with Car Concepts!!! I HIGHLY recommend Car Concepts to anyone considering them and would start there versus a dealership for an accessory considerations.

I recently bought a new sound system from Car Concepts. Kalob Smith and the whole team at CC did such a great job! The system they recommended was just right for my car and my budget. There was no pressure to buy anything I did not want or need. The price was good and the service was outstanding from beginning to end. At one point, shortly after the installation, the system started having some issues. I brought it back and Kalob and his team were able to identify a problem that was unrelated to the system they had installed. They fixed that problem and did not charge me anything for it. Car concepts has always been there for me! I’m a guy that likes to do my own work and they respect me for it! One time I was having issues Installing a subwoofer and not only did their installer Paul help me but he face timed me and guided me through the whole thing and helped me get it working perfect! He took time out of his work day to help me. Most car shops would not do that for you. They’d just say bring it in and let us do it. But car concepts loves to help either way they can! What can I say about this place other than it’s boomin! If you need the best quality in your sound system you are looking at the right place! Plus the employees are the best to work with so understanding, and so friendly! Noel is the best to work with with lots of laughs and so helpful but be careful she might send you her lunch order 😉 love these guys I promise you won’t be disappointed!

Car Concepts installed a touch screen audio visual system and television on our used boat. We needed some help to understand the system and they were very helpful. We were unable to get the television to work and after a couple of calls, Paul, the technicial who installed the system offered to come to our home to make sure everything was working to our satisfaction. He was great! He took the time to call the manufacturer and he was able to determine what the issue was. He made sure everything was working and took the time to show us how to operate the system. I would recommend them to anyone considering installing electronics in their vehicle, or even a boat!

Great at there jobs

Car concepts is good with some stuff but not all. They choose to not pay for their mistakes. Therefore, I am paying $1100 to fix the module distribution in my car (which allows the car to turn on/off) because their installer made a mistake. I think they could’ve at least offered to contribute or pay to fix the mistake made by their employees, but won’t because I didn’t go to them first, therefore I voided out my warranty with them. Take in mind, it’s common sense to go to the dealership first because there is a warranty, especially with how many lights came on in my car. With that being said, Ms. Lindsay tried to use an analogy where she compared tires to electrical work, when in reality, it is two very different things. I will admit, Max has great customer service but Lindsay does not and should take pointers from her employees on how to act, treat, and handle customers. Instead, she thinks she is some rich woman who can put others down since they are not in the same playing field. I definitely would not recommend this place to anyone because they don’t pay for their employee’s mistakes and poor customer service. The general manger is one inconsiderate, narcissistic individual who is all about the money and not the quality of work.

Edit- Seen your rude response two hours ago today about telling me not to jump to conclusions about your employees. I beg to differ. But you did change it a short while ago. Can not recommend Car Concepts for auto electronics installations of any kind. Shameful. Pass on this for not every small business is great to speak and do business with so I too had to take a pass canceling service appointment. If I could do zero stars I would.Previous Edit - Manager called me yesterday. While the Compustar car security units dont list starter relay kill switch in their features description, he with 10 years experience doing these confirms it does have this important car security feature. Viper is said to be hard to get right now so its no longer practical to sell when Compustar is supplying good products. The young employees I spoke with simply didnt have a ton of knowledge on these so they were telling me everything I wanted to hear after Id ask a question or say what I wanted out of a security system only leaving me with a gut feeling of doubt that Id be disappointed and not actually get what I need. I called twice in two days talking to both young employees for they both left doubt in my mind about what Id be getting and whether it would meet my need. They simply had work to do, didnt know enough, and didnt want to talk only trying to get me off the phone. Had I spoken with the manager that called me, Id probably been a satisfied happy customer for he laid it out out of knowing how these work. Since he knows all about them, he was able to concisely tell me what I wanted to know without leaving ay doubt and I understand they are good products that would meet my need. These are probably not bad people, but are just too busy for its in the city with a huge customer base. I guess if you go in person instead of on the phone, you can talk with the manger about what you want and hell lay out clearly leaving no doubt about anything for he knows his products well where as the young people answering phones may be good at installations, but not so much for talking business. They really didnt lie to me, but it was a miscommunication during a busy tiresome time. The city is always tricky when it comes to asking people about things or for a service they might can provide due to being busy and impersonal natured. So I must look further afield when I want personalized service such as speaking with a manger or long term employee who knows his product and care about each customers needs. Sorry it didnt work out.

I just left Car concepts with a new pair of Hertz 6.5s. We all have our favorite places to shop, sales people who we trust, installers we wouldnt let touch our cars due to bad experiences, etc. I went in to peek around at their selection as my usual preferred shop doesnt stock very much in terms of selection. In the car audio world, and as a consumer, we are a particularly picky bunch. Usually because weve been fed lies and had our vehicles hacked upon only to be told they would be well taken care of. I have not been to Car Concepts in years, but they have always maintained a decent reputation from what I know, and I have been around for a bit. As I entered the store the gentleman behind the counter greeted me, pleasantly and with a smile as he inquired as to what I was looking for and if he could help. I replied and he immediately dropped what he was doing to help. Great customer service to begin with. The speakers that I settled on had just arrived in their shop today and they hadnt even priced them yet. What made this experience exceptional was that he gave me the speakers for the price of the outgoing model, which when I arrived home and checked on Amazon, were $20.00 less than what they were selling them for. $20.00 less than what Amazon sells them for is a pretty good deal, worthy of mention. Who knows, I may even be back in the future. I took note of the other sales people and their attitudes as well as their conversation. A lot can be picked up just by listening, and if anyone out there is like me then you have your guard up when it comes to car audio! These gentlemen treated me exceptionally well, gave me a more than fair price on the product I purchased and they deserve a huge thumbs up! Thanks Car Concepts.

Two years ago, I walked into Sound Warehouse to look at a new deck.Ten minutes after walking in, I had a quote for a new deck, door speakers, a amp, and new subs. Kalob and Max both took the time to listen to what I wanted, made the appropriate suggestions, and kept in mind my budget. They didnt try to oversell me on anything, and set me up with a what I truly wanted. Two years later, and two more cars, I have gone back to them for everything. They have been amazing, professional, and very knowledgeable. They are always willing to work with me, even though i can kinda get annoying. Paul and Preston have both done amazing work with my installs, and most recently, Tanner did a fantastic job on my window tint. This was THE WORST experience!!! We waited for two months for a product to come in (which never did by the way) and had to call them to find any updates. We decided to put an old product in and went to have them install it and it took over 4 hours! Once again 0 communication unless I went and asked them... NEVER GO HERE!!!!!!

Fast helpful service with wide range of great products for any application. Install technicians did a fabulous job and where very helpful making the final purchase choices. They knew all about my truck and what features where a must with upgrading my system. Looks and works better then ever expected. Will be returning soon to have more done! I would recommend Car Concepts to a friend. They made time to check out my stereo right away, were easy-going and personable, and essentially just charged me for parts. I also needed to have a wiper fluid pump replaced, so Paul called around town to help me price new and used parts. When he found out I could get a fair deal straight from the dealership, he was honest in recommending I go elsewhere. Fair, reliable service!

Not impressed with these guys. They installed a sub and amp in my car and the first time I folded my seat down all the wires popped off .I fixed them myself. Then I was doing a tail light bulb replacement and found multiple interior panel clips broken and missing that they removed to run wires. Just to top it off the other day I needed an adapter connector to install some door speakers. I called and told them exactly the type I needed. The guy that answered said Oh yeah we have plenty of those. I drove over to them 10 minutes later and brought the connector in that I needed. They all looked at it and said We definitely dont have anything like that, maybe online. But we would just spend pennies modifying it instead of a few dollars on a connector. Really?? To some people a few dollars is worth spending a quarter of the time doing it. Get your s*** together and know what products actually exist at your shop and dont. Also make sure the quality of your work amounts to how much you charge people for it.

I have an alarm which is at least 17 years old that has not worked in years. The young man behind the counter spent at least 30 minutes looking online for a remote that would fit my alarm: and then helped me order it.! He also reattached a wire under the hood and made sure the system was working. He took the time to tell me how to link the car with the new remote, which I will receive in a few days. I did not get his name, but his customer service was more than anyone could expect. To him and car concepts...THANK YOU!

This place used to be fair in price.They charge me $250 to install four-door speakers and a Old fashion stereo.When asked why the price is so high?“The young kid said they charge me an hour extra of labor because two people working on my truck so it saved me an hour.”

I felt included in the conversation and I was given the time needed, to make a decision about the work to be done.It was amazing! I had my convertible trunk stuck and very many mechanics and even dealers could not fix it. I go Car Concepts, Kalob Smith comes out, and his friend take a look at it, he goes back to get his tools, he comes back out, and fixes it in less than 20 minutes. They are amazing!!

We recently had satellite radio installed in two of our vehicles along with fixing a few additional problems. The work in each vehicle was completed beyond expectation and within a very reasonable amount of time. The cost for each install was extremely fair. The sales staff was very knowledgeable and professional at each step of the way. We are very pleased with Car Concepts and highly recommend them.

What great customer service from when I walk in to when I leave they are the full stop shop. Cory and Jake went out of their way on my wives 4 runner. I know it was not the easiest job, but they knew it was for a good purpose and put in extra hours and work to get my car exactly how we hoped we could get it. They went above and beyond and easily could have told me it didnt work and save time but thank you guys. These guys have won my business and I will never take my car another place.

The absolute worse experience I ever had, they used to be the best of the bast. I will never take another car there again. It seemed like management had no idea how to get things done.It was a simple install and should have been at the most a couple of days, and it was there for two weeks and my customer was not happy. They spent a lot of time trying to sell more gear when that is not what my commuter requested.We just needed the stereo wired to the speakers in the rear and a couple of new speakers in the dash and wire them and it was all about sales rather then getting the job done.

Kalob and his crew over at Car Concepts have taken care of me for about 4 years now. Ive had numerous custom systems built for me and my friends.I love this place. Im always given different options with the best knowledge in this industry, and that is very valuable to me when money is concerned vs product bought and installed. Even with custom builds I am assured I can always bring my vehicle back when something breaks or when I want to upgrade parts of my vehicle ; Im always taken care of. Best car guys on the planet. We love Car Concepts. They did a fabulous job on our $4k radar detector for a new Caddy and a great tint job as well. They also helped resolve ongoing problems that another car vendor screwed up on a FJ for free. We love these guys! Paul and company are awesome! Fast, honest professional service.

I went to Car Concepts the other day after the guys who replaced my windshield ripped my alarm cord out and busted my alarms antenna. Caleb was awesome; he really went out of his way for me; he spent a long time searching through their inventory to see if they had a replacement cord that would work to fix the issue. He came out to my car to check out the problem and was able to fix the issue. Awesome customer service, went over and beyond, and gave me a killer deal. I would definitely recommend this place! Especially Caleb; super nice guy!

I brought my car in to have a remote start put in and it was a nightmare! Poor customer service, they told me I would have no problems with it after install and well a week later I brought it back because the remote start just shuts off after I get in the vehicle. I tell them about this and they say we dont know test it and we can see. They told me I didnt need to put the key in the slot after install but now i do? The tech didnt shut my hood and I found this out after I drove 15 minutes on the freeway to my home. The person behind the counter said that he would talk to the tech but no apology. I would not recommend having anything installed here because they have no idea what they are doing. Bunch of inexperienced people working here. Polite but unhelpful. I would recommend California Auto if you want anything done. They have a week wait but now I know its worth the wait.

I have been to these guys a few times now and they are awesome. I just recently purchased a remote start alarm and needed some tips on the install. Paul was great. He helped me through the process and even took a phone call from me when I had a couple questions. I appreciate the local service I received. I would definitely recommend these guys.
