We came in in our target swag and immediately felt out of place. The lady looked at us like how did you end up here. I know thats not Chanel. You clearly dont belong. Thats a joke. All the employees were very nice despite the fact that we really didnt belong. We thought thrift meant bargain. But the only thing you bargain here is whether or not to eat for the next month. Do not come here unless you are a millionaire.
Three employees at the register area.I stood in line for 3-4 minutes- no problem. Then when it was my turn all of am sudden I was invisible.Wow- must have forgotten to turn off my invisible suit. Some of your items are nice but mostly you are selling USED, past-season clothing. There are other consignment ships in Salt Lake.
This is my favorite place to shop in Salt Lake! They always have the best designer finds for half of the price!! The women are so so helpful and fun to shop with! I’ve also consigned there as well and It all sells so quickly. You should definitely stop by!
The shop is very chic looking. However, with prices of their products being close to 75% of the new retail price of the same items, it’s not a store I plan to go to again. If I’m paying that much for clothing, I may as well pay the extra 25% and get them new with tags.
The rudest staff I’ve ever met. If you’re not clearly old white rich and skinny they will treat you like trash. I’ve never been treated so poorly. I was a consignor. I brought in designer bags and was still treated like I wasn’t worth anyones time. I’ve never left a review on a business because I’ve truly never been made to feel this badly.
You can always find something fabulous at Namedroppers! Lots of great designer items at a fraction of the price. Make sure to check out the end of the month clearance sale the last Thursday, Friday and Saturday of every month. Definitely worth stopping by on the regular.
They always take care of me both as a seller and a buyer. Such a great store
The perfume smell in store was overwhelming. The pricing and employee atmosphere better fits upscale boutique than consignment shop. Moreover, Im conflicted about hearing a conversation from staff about connecting people to sugar daddies. My intention is not to disparage sex work, but Im confused as to why my friend and I heard the conversation at length, in opposite ends of the store. If youre into thrifting, this place is NOT that vibe. If youre looking for brand names because you like to feel the clout and esteem that comes with owning a Marc Jacobs snake skin shoes or whatever, pitter patter, git at er...
This is a high end consignment shop. They always have a great selection. However I feel like their prices at this location are too close to brand new prices. The location on Parleys Way always has specials and the prices are more where they need to be. Great shop!
While they have a large selection of gently used clothing and shoes I was astonished at the prices. If you want high end fashion at a fraction of the cost then be sure to stop by but be willing to spend some money.
Went in to see about consigning a few items, all higher end and most new or nearly new. Was treated rudely and although they agreed to take a few items, I decided not to do business with them. I watched employees standing around, ignoring customers and talking amongst themselves; they all exuded a snobbish attitude. Shop elsewhere.
We people who work here are extremely helpful and kind. I visited both stores today and was very happy as I made my way out the door. Thanks ladies.....have a wonderful week! Melinda
My favorite high-end consignment store and a must-stop when in SLC for work. Grace was extremely sweet and helpful on my recent visit. Can’t wait to wear my amazing new dress to Vegas ❤️
Always friendly and seems genuinely happy to see me every time I visit. Im not there often but she always remembers me and treats me as if I were a friend. Thank you for the outstanding service each time I come to visit. I have a similar experience every time at the highland location as well. Keep it up guys and thank you!
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I needed something for a fancy occasion. Sasha and Kilee asked great questions and styled me right up. Good prices to boot!
Selection is mediocre with their current staff. Do not expect to find tons of gems. I have walked out multiple times feeling underwhelmed. Just because the name is on the label does not mean accept items too worn out worth reselling
Ive shopped here for years. This used to be my favorite place. However it has gone down hill. I was in the other day and the owner helped me find a dress only to turn around and give it to another customer even though I found it and had it first. I have spent a lot of money here over the years but i felt like a 3rd class citizen. I dont know if I will be back. The Parlays location are nicer and easier to deal with.
Not very size inclusive, but sales girls are friendly and helpful.
Wonderful and helpful staff! The owner Tiffany will take you under her wing and style you to the moon! Items are always organized and merchandised beautifully and it is super fun to shop there!
Was told my clothes would be transferred to the second location after a 70 day period of not selling but instead were given to charity?? Two free people dresses barely worn that ill never see again! a phone call wouldve been nice!would not recommend!
I stop every time Im in town. Love the staff and the merchandise. Ask them to style you and youll end up with some awesome finds. Love Namedroppers!
Amazing store filled to the brim with some great products. Will be back soon.
Some nice items but some rude people work there who seem very snobby depending on what you look like when you go in there. I guess I was dressed down? The owner talks down your items when you try and sell them and shes the only one who can price them and is never there. Does not let her staff tell you how much you can get for items, instead you have to leave your clothes there to get looked at by the owner. A little too unprofessional and weird for me.. Owner/manager needs to get off their high horse.
This place has amazing stuff, but the help is so far up in your business that you cant enjoy just looking or browsing. They distract you so much that its impossible to enjoy. They might have nice stuff, but seriously pompous, nose in the air, better than you, arrogant. These people they think and act as if they are on Rodeo Dr. In Beverly Hills. Second hand items are none the less second hand. No matter how you look at it. Just like the attitudes of the employees.
I shop here mainly for jewelry and have found some beautiful things, reasonably priced.
Their prices are consistant with the products they offer. Anywhere between 25 %to 35 % of (not off, of) original price. Very knowledgeable.
Will never sell here again. Ive been selling since 2012 without any problems. However, recently I dropped off a very expensive item that was donated to charity with out any alert or notice. When I called about it, the owner, Tiffany, was incredibly rude, condescending, and seemed unconcerned that just like that, they got rid of my item. I understand they have many consignors, but that doesnt seem to excuse the fact that they got rid of my item and seemed unwilling to work around that, aside from offering a tax write off. As it stands, Ill settle for a review for now in hopes of warning others. I consign frequently to a lot of stores around the Salt Lake area and cant imagine any one else doing something like this. Please take your business elsewhere.
Walked in on a friends recomendation and we were thrilled at the prices and quality of dresses for my daughters homecoming BUT had to ask for a dressing room, not one person asked how we were doing, Pulled items for us or gave us any attention even though we spent at least 45 minutes in there looking and trying on dresses. Very disappointed in the customer service.
If you cant find a perfect deal dont blame it on them. Just keep going back you will find deals that are great. I look for lightly used good brand names often finding DVF, Channel, Burberry items new if not only used a time or two. Sure they are not thrift store cheap but with the quality items you can chose from they last you ten times longer and look twenty times better on you then any new item from most places.
Not impressed. I like the other location better.
I love how helpful the staff was while I was browsing the used namebrand dresses and shoes for date night.
Always love Namedroppers best second hand high end store in SLC.
Tried to sell a $3,000 new designer dress which they said they would give me 200 dollars for but theyll turn around and sell it for $2,000 they make way too much profit and dont give enough. And theyre so rude! Um excuse me? Im selling my designer clothes to you and youre getting paid minimum wage so dont be shotty with me!
I love this place. I go probably every other week, and I never miss the last weekend of the month clearance. The quality of the clothes is consistently excellent. My only complaint is that its hard to find my size because the people consigning are between 6-10 US. But for the price its often worth it to tailor.Ive got a Hugo Boss suit here, a Chloe bag, a ton of designer tops and pants, LK Bennet Shoes, Jimmy Choos and Stuart Weisman sandals. Ive had to start limiting the amount of times I can go because I always find something I need.
I have seen the reviews on Google and Yelp and I am so confused! I have LOVED every experience with Name Droppers. The girls are helpful but allow you to shop. They know their stuff. Tiffany understands designer consignment more than ANYONE else in the state of Utah. Her prices are always super competitive vs. ANY OTHER ONLINE CONSIGNER. And yes, they are selective with their buys.... because they are a HIGH END designer consigner. They dont take low end retailers, EX. Old Navy, Gap, Banana Republic, or whatever else because there are other consigners in the valley that specialize in that. THEY ARE SELECTIVE. Name Droppers is a HIGH END DESIGNER consigner, point blank. Thank you Tiffany and team for always providing such an amazing experience! Rose and the girls are amazing to work with.
Purchased a pair of True Religions jeans for a lot of money. Down the road tried to sell them and were told they were fake. I know lots of other people who have had bad experiences as well. Owner is awful. Everything is overpriced and you never know what is real or fake. Dont shop here if you dont wanna get ripped off.
Always an outstanding balance of fashion and thrift!
Horrible prices. Horrible customer service. Horrible inventory. Not s good place to go especially if you dont want to be judged for honestly just trying to make a few extra bucks. Wouldnt take my adidas originals that had NEVER been worn and when I asked them why they couldnt even give me an answer.
Drop the name
Love the inventory! Staff was willing and helpful.
Absolutely the best for high end consignment shopping.
Ive never found anything here and sometimes you can find a knockoff item that they missed. Knockoffs shouldnt cost $70.
A good selection of name brand pieces!
Great place to buy high end consignment items.
Very nice store to shop new and second hand..
Disappointed by the employees attitudes. Consigned a few items there. A Burberry skirt?and a few things from Target. They took one cheapy target shirt but told me they wont take the Burbury skirt because it had a stain on it. I asked them to show me where the stain was, the woman pointed to it and I picked up a piece of fuzz and asked if this was the stain. She said she thought it was a stain and proceeded to say it was out of season anyway.. So she took a target shirt but didnt take a perfectly good Burberry? I cant for the life of me figure out the system what they take and what they dont. Just bizarre. The girls there are all snooty and superficial. The prices are too high. And you dont know what name brands are faux or real because all the items are overpriced. Do not shop here.
Way to over priced for a consignment store lol
One star for name droppers. They seem quite over priced for used items. The staff is pretty chill but the pricing is not so chill. I mean come on, its still used.
Fun place to do dress up
Highly Recommend!:)
Worst customer service ever. I was kept waiting more than 30 minutes while the employee chatted with her friends. Waited 10+ minutes to even start looking, and I dont think she even looked at all the items I brought in.
Fast for how busy
Its okay but when I looked up second hand clothes this place came up and its not second hand clothing
Very cute boutique!!
It was a great store
No customer service
