Dale and his team are the absolute best to work with. They are honest, fast and hardworking. They are amazing.

I had a flat tire on my way home from work and i stopped in here just as they were about to close and they came outside to see what they could do to help!!! They had me back my car up to replace my flat tire with my spare but when he tried to put it on, it was for the wrong car completely so he got me a spare tire of his own AT NO CHARGE and put it on my car and sent me on my way in less than a half an hour!!! Not many people have this good of service nowadays!!! I will definitely be returning to get all my maintenance done so they don’t have to save me again!!! Thank you Dale and team 💗💗💗💗

Great and fast service. Got the full system check for my car here. They did my oil change, tire rotation and re-fill my fluids. They are honest in their business. They dont ask me to change my air filter or offer any unnecessary service. Will definitely come back.

This place right here is the BEST! I have had nothing but wonderful experiences with this little car shop. I go here for everything including my yearly registration. The prices are fantastic and theyre always so quick. The man who owns/runs the shop is so nice and honest with you. The gal at the front desk (I believe her name is Carly) is super RAD. She remembers my name when I come in. On top of that, if you want some fluffy dogs to cuddle with while youre getting your car fixed, this is the place to be. Its got everything! Great service, kind people, awesome prices, and fluffy dogs. What else could you ask for? I constantly recommend this place to people. Those four people who left bad reviews probably just didnt drink their coffee that morning or came in on a busy day expecting their car to get checked right away. This location is a first come, first serve car shop. So get there early and dont expect to get your car repaired if you come in an hour before they close on a busy day. Thats not inconvenient, thats just common sense.

Had bad alternator, took it here to get it replaced. First two remanufactured alternators failed within a year. I let the owner know that I saw someone mention that for my make/model of car a new alternator is advised instead of remanufactured due to PCM. So when the third alternator went out the owner I paid for a new alternator. When I went to pick up my car the owner mentioned that there was now a whine coming from the new alternator and he didnt know why, but it should go away eventually. I took it to another shop to have it looked at and they noticed that the new alternator Philips 66 Uptown Service claimed to have installed was actually a remanufactured alternator. And this is after the owner scratched and dented my car against the wall at the shop. He barely offered an apology for that and then charged me $5 for gas. The original hand written receipt I have lists a new Mopar alternator. Philips 66 Uptown Service is a fraud! Do not trust Philips 66 Uptown Service! They sell remanufactured parts they claim are new! There has to be some state law being violated here!

I had my brake pads replaced here. On my way home I almost had a wheel fall off on I80. Real wheel had a missing lug nut and I could un screw some of the others by hand. If you’re looking for a simple job done right,you could probably do it better yourself!

I have been going to this shop off and on for years. Great staff. Friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. Went just this past Friday and they squeezed me in @ 4:30pm. Completed emission, registration, tire rotation and oil change in about an hour. I will always recommend these people. One small draw back is they are a small capacity shop but pound for pound Id put them up against anyone. Also willing to recommend other shops if they are unable to do certain jobs. I hope they stay open forever ha ha.

Uptown Service has taken care of my car since they were downtown on West Temple. They are honest and trustworthy and always get my car done in a timely manner, plus my car is always cleaner when it leaves your shop than when I bring it in! The staff is knowledgeable and great! Dale is awesome and I am so impressed that he gives back to the local community where his shop is. Just go inside and see all the local school artwork hanging on the walls. Stopped there this morning with a flat tire in a Jetta, which has lug nut locks. I just got this car and it had a jack and a full size spare tire, but no wrench. The guy at the shop let me use his, and even helped me get the lock off, and didnt charge a thing. Super nice and didnt do it for anything other than helping someone out. Will be coming back for sure.

Every review Ive read for your service has been commendable. Unfortunately, I have not had the same pleasant experience with your service. Earlier this year, in the spring, I brought my Subaru in for an emissions test. It needed new brake pads in order to pass, which you installed for me. The new brakes squeaked incessantly, however, so you told me to bring my car back in and they would be fixed free of charge, which I did. However, they continued to squeal even after that second visit. I brought them in a third time a couple weeks ago to finally have this issue resolved, and after I came to pick my car up, within the first two minutes of driving it home, the brakes were still squeaking. You can understand my frustration. I initially chose Uptown Service because I heard that you provided outstanding, honest service. It was also a beneficial choice distance-wise, as I live close enough to be able to walk home while my car is being worked on. But I am beyond disappointed. It has been thoroughly frustrating to have to bring my car in three times for a service that should have been completed once. I will not be a returning customer, and unfortunately will not be able to provide a positive recommendation to colleagues, clients, or friends.

I have taken my car to Uptown Service three times now for everything from routine oil changes to tire repairs after a blowout. Ive been 100% satisfied with the work done every time I have been - Dale and his staff are friendly, professional, and honest. Its easy to get taken advantage of by mechanics when you dont know much about cars, but I have full confidence in Uptown Service and know that Im taken care of when Im there.

This shop adds a whole new meaning to Customer Service. Uptown has taken excellent care of my vehicle for 6 years now and I would never go anywhere else. Honesty, experience, and quality. What else can you ask for?

Dale is honest and gives great advise. The work done at his shop is solid. He is also a great resource, if he does not provide the service you need, he points you in the right direction. He has also helped me look of cars that I was thinking about buying for my son - saved me lot of money. Cant say enough about the great service!

The mechanics here are very honest and fair. They have helped me out so many times. I get an honest opinion and fast service. You really dont get this kind of service anywhere these days. I hope he never retires.

Locally owned. The owner came out and stuck my new registration stickers on for me because he said some people had had trouble with them sticking. When he saw how old and dirty my past stickers were, he ran inside and got some cleaner and cleaned up my license plate before putting them on. He was friendly and helpful.The girl running the front desk must be family. Not very professional and she had kind of an air of “I don’t want to be here” but she did everything I needed quickly and correctly so I can’t complain.I’m used to waiting 3+ hours at a Big O Tires downtown, but I’ll be coming back here bc of the location and speed/quality of service.

I could not get my car to pass the emissions test. I would have to drive it around to get it to reset.I probably bothered Dale or Warner 20 times over the last month and he patiently helped me and offered advice. It finally passed, I am sure he was more excited than I was. This is only one of the many times he has been a lifesaver for our family. He is our neighborhood mechanic in every sense of the word. Most helpful and honest mechanist you can find in Salt Lake City.Always check your car to see what needs to be done. Never do unnecessary work. Charge you the reasonable work hours and parts.

They didnt have the equipment needed to replace my old rusted Subaru wheel bearing, but were able to refer me to someone who could and did not charge me for the diagnostic. Everyone was kind and helpful. Definitely recommend for any of your car problems!

Had a very squeaky suspension. I thought I would have to replace all my struts and/or ball joints but they got rid of all the annoying sounds by lubricating it. Only cost me $15. They told me I might need new ball joints in the future (around $500), but for now the lubrication should solve the problem. Very satisfied. They could have easily told me I needed the ball joints and I would have believed them.

Very rude on the phone, not willing to give price quotes for there service. They said it would take as long as it needed and the price would be decided after the fact. Go upto foothill tire pros. You will be treated better.
