Its A VIBE!!! This lovely place is tucked away in a residential neighborhood. I wish I lived nearby, Id walk for the Steak & eggs. Plenty to share. The Breakfast nachos were fantastic! Try ANY of the lattes (I had the cinnamon latte & my friend had the chai latte) both sweet but not too sweet. LOVE THE BUZZ OF CONVERSATION AROUND US!
Came here for brunch but I will be sure to be back for other meals. The service was excellent, kind, and efficient. I appreciated the staff wearing masks. Food was so good that I ate past when I was full and still thought long and hard about if I was going to save any to take home. I highly recommend the chicken and waffles with the chili maple syrup with a perfectly runny fried egg on top.
Hub and Spoke Diner was an amazing experience! The shrimp and grits was packed with a unique combination of flavors. The chicken and waffles were super tasty as well with the pleasant surprise of chili maple syrup. The Kentucky Hot Brown was the closest in authentic flavor to the ones I’ve had in Kentucky. Lavender lemonade was spot on and the kids loved their breakfast as well. Great service great food!
First, no complaints about the service. All of the staff were kind and quick, and I really appreciate the continued mask policy.I was mostly underwhelmed by the food. Maybe we didnt know the good things to order, or they were having an off-day in the kitchen, Im not sure. The biscuits in the biscuits and gravy were overcooked, dry on the inside and charred and hard to cut through on the outside. The gravy was good, but half of one biscuit was left dry, I would have loved a little more gravy to grab every surface. The waffles were extremely dark as well, fairly chewy, but came with a good amount of butter and syrup. The breakfast potatoes were mostly ok, but about 20% looked twice-fried, and were dry, crunchy pieces. The house lemonade, though, is spectacular. For $3 and free refills, Id make the same choice if we went again. We also LOVED that they asked how we liked our bacon (soft or crispy).I might come back and try again in the future, but its not on the list any time soon.
I am seriously BLOWN AWAY!! Came here on a Saturday morning and after the meal and experience i had- i’m surprised we got in so fast! Hub and Spoke has the kindest and most down to earth staff who are happy to be there and made the experience so awesome. Our waitress Nikki was so helpful with the menu and insanely fun to chat with. Luke, the barista, made some of the tastiest coffee and one of the best hot chocolates i’ve ever had! The kitchen staff deserves a huge round of applause for some of the best quality and presentation with our food. i’m drooling just thinking about it! I was in heaven through the entire Brunch! We ordered eggs benedict, steak and eggs, and french toast and english muffins. I will definitely be coming back as much as i can!
The food was as you’d expect at a diner. Tasty, good service, and nice atmosphere. I enjoyed the biscuits&gravy, but would’ve been happier if there was one more biscuit. The smashed potatoes and salted caramel milkshake were good! I would come here again, but didn’t feel like the food was anything special.
Very appealing food, the diner is in a great location with nice outdoor and indoor seating. Our server was very energetic and kind hearted. She was very sorry about our waiting time and for the time it took us to get our orders in. Now about the food, the chicken was juicing! The waffles(not seen in photos) were so incredibly fluffy, the steak was well seasoning and rightfully cooked. The pork sliders were unique in flavor; although a little tough. Prices were a little high but all around a great place. I would recommend.
Sunday Brunch is a must. Very kind staff. Food was delicious. I’ll add some pictures to see what the food is like. I got the eggs Benedict and my fiancé got the shrimp and grits. Very popular so the wait was 45+ minutes (that’s no reason to take off a star). Indoor and outdoor dining. The coffee was also amazing.
Awesome place for brunch, they have a perfect sized menu to give you variety but not overwhelm. The Portuguese breakfast is perfect for any meat lover with short rib, chorizo, and ham topped off with a sunny-side uo egg! 🍳The French toast was fluffy & had a nice balance of sweetness with cinnamon. I had to get breakfast sausage to make the perfect sweet & salty combo 🤤🤤The last dish we got was the pulled pork benny and I 100% approve and recommend for any benny lover out there 😏😏😏The hospitality was on point and everyone was so nice and accommodating. We did have one egg over cooked on our Benny and the promptly helped us figure out a solution.
Amazing service! Very friendly waitress who took good care of us, everything we ordered was fantastic (even the vegan option!) and it was super cute as well. Loved the patio. Slight wait (30 min Saturday at noon) - not bad and worth it!
I went here for breakfast on a whim and to say I was blown away is an understatement. Our server Nikki and the entire staff was incredible. Super friendly service and the food was to die for. Some of the best hot chocolate Ive ever had and the iced coffee was just how I like it. The steak and eggs were top notch and the house made jelly was phenomenal. A half order of French toast was just what I needed to round things out.
If you love pancakes this is the place to go! The service is great and the food is amazing. Cant go wrong with Sunday mimosas. The mimosa bottle service is totally worth it if you are looking for a place to enjoy your Sunday Funday. Will continue to update every time I visit.
We had a great time here. The food was delicious & we were taken care of very well. We had been there before for lunch and we enjoyed breakfast MUCH more! The bottom plate was the crab eggs Benedict & the top right is the regular eggs Benedict. It was so delicious. The top left was the avocado toast.
I’ve been here a few times and I have really enjoyed each experience. On my most recent experience, I ordered the Biscuits and Gravy breakfast. The entire dish was delicious and the service was great. The best part of the entire experience was my brunch date and the Bloody Mary. We’re coming again next weekend!
Im not going to lie but the shrimp and grits doesnt sound that appealing but I was feeling adventurous so I gave it a shot. It was absolutely AMAZING! Cant believe I havent been here before. Wifey and I will be back for sure. Nice decor, atmosphere and service. Great food and priced accordingly. Gluten free friendly. 5 stars.P. S. May be the best waffle Ive ever had.
One of the hidden gems in the valley. Set in an off the beaten path area of the city across from a small market and a few other hidden gems sits the Hub and Spoke. An open and inviting spot with one of the coolest eclectic decoration collections around. The staff are always friendly and upbeat, they pay attention to your needs without being one of those annoying “hovering hounds” that drive us all nuts. You know the ones, they come every 2.3 seconds asking how everything is...The food is incredible every time, and all I can say is TRY THE SHRIMP AND GRITS!Smooth, creamy grits topped with a cornucopia of deliciousness.I promise you, you will not be disappointed.A definite go to spot for comfort foods.
Ive been wanting to try this place for a long time and finally got my boyfriend to agree to go. I dont see it on the online menu but my boyfriend ordered just a waffle because he wasnt very hungry. I think it was made with sweet potatoes or something and came with a small scoop of butter and a little syrup. The waffle wasnt warm enough to even mildly melt the butter and didnt have a whole lot of flavor itself, however the syrup was really tasty and strangely not overly sweet. I ordered the Kentucky hot brown and a hot cocoa. Boy did my dish ever taste amazing. And the hot chocolate here is the best Ive found around town so far. Rich and actually chocolatey it was only lacking a little creaminess but I found out the reason for this is they use almond milk, and thats not a deal breaker. To be honest though, if it werent for the fact that we like to share and therefore my boyfriend got to try my food we probably wouldnt be going back even with the good service just because his meal was so lackluster. But we will try this place again because my meal was so good, and I highly recommend the Kentucky hot brown as your first breakfast at Hub and Spoke if you havent been here before.
My wife and I got the steak and frites and fried chicken dinner. Often the sides with these types of dishes can feel like an afterthought but not here. Every aspect these meals were exceptional. The donut holes for dessert were crazy delicious too! Im excited to return, for breakfast next time. 😋
This place is AMAZING, seriously one of the best tasting, most comforting breakfasts ever.First, just like a lot of good Salt Lake City restaurants, its located in an older part of town near a great residential area. Its a one of a kind diner. The food was so good. We ordered the lemon pound cake french toast, biscuits and gravy, and the all-star was the Kentucky Hot Brown. I had never heard of that before, but that was a perfect brunch meal. The turkey was was super flavorful, the bechamel sauce was rich and creamy, and the bacon was cooked perfectly. I cant say enough good things about that dish, it was like a tasty hug. Cant wake to drive up and eat again!
First time coming here even though I drive by quite often! Im very impressed! The wait wasnt too bad for a Saturday morning. The staff was so friendly and you could tell they love their job! I got their dulce de Leche latte but I asked for it iced and it turned out delicious. Then we got a hot coffee and mimosa. Which were both pretty good. The menu has a lot of yummy and fresh options and I opted for making my own omelet. You can choose 4 sides with it which I thought was great so I went with bacon, avocado, Swiss cheese and a side of gluten-free toast (yes they have gluten-free options!) My husband went with the Kentucky hot brown and we love how it came in a cast iron so 10/10 on presentation! He said that it was delicious too! We had a great overall experience here and will be coming back soon to try different items from their menu!
40 minute wait for Sunday brunch, not bad! Great service. Food came fairly quickly. Coffee was delicious. I got the shrimp and grits which exceeded all of my expectations! Cool atmosphere and lots of seating. Will definitely be back!
Love it. Pleasant wait staff. Great food. Ordered:Shrimp and grits. Excellent flavor. So creamy. A little too spicy and saucy for my taste so I got a side of bread and it was perfect.Grasshopper Milkshake. Best chocolate milkshake I’ve ever had. It’s the best one. Perfect. Loved the house chocolate syrup flavor. A little mint. Perfect consistency.
I love this place. Everything Ive had has been great! Their pot pie is one of my favorites, with the buttery flaky crust and unique taste and presentation. However, when I ordered this yesterday, the chicken pot pie was not the same. The crust was unappetizing. Wasnt buttery and flaky, but more thick. They must have changed their recipe or something, because it wasnt nearly as good as I remember. I wouldnt order the chicken pot pie again from this place, and its so sad because it was absolutely amazing before. 😥
Love the Hub and Spoke since my first visit in 2015 when I was in town for a wedding. I make it a point to go back every time Ive been in town which is usually every year. Food and cocktails have never disappointed and the service on my most recent visit last week when I took my sister to lunch was great. Love the funky vibe and convenient location in a cozy neighborhood setting. Going back again tomorrow with my parents before I fly home on Thursday.
Amazing food, great staff, safety compliant. We were traveling due to a death in the family and wanted to have a really good breakfast before doing the road trip home. We are so happy we picked this place.First off there was a really nice parking lot in the back with several spaces. The staff all wore masks and the inside was spacious and they opened every other booth/table. There was even a nice little diner counter up front for anybody who just wanted a quick cup of coffee and a newspaper. Our waitress was Meera and she was wonderfully helpful with picking out her food as well as giving us suggestions. She was upfront and honest about the fact that the lemonade was fantastic but it was made fresh everyday so it was always slightly different. I ordered it and had no regrets. Very good combination of tart and just enough sweetness. I had to fight my husband off.My husband got the eggs benedict because he saw the photos online and had been drooling over them the whole time. I got the shrimp and grits and was so impressed. I lived in Mississippi before and this was just incredible. The andouille sausage was great. I think at one point I stabbed my husbands hand with the fork after he tried to steal a second bite. He said that his eggs Benedict was fantastic but my shrimp and grits was one of the best he had ever tasted. Our kids were made to feel very welcome. I dont recall a changing table in the bathroom if anybody needs that however. Although the bathroom was kept clean and well stocked though!I would 100% make a detour to come back here if anything ever brought me back to the state of Utah. It was fantastic.
Experiences here are hit and miss, but they at least have an attentive staff at a time when many dont. The Reuben was hardly a Reuben, according to my husband - but the avocado toast is yummy. He wont be going back with me.
I dont know how anyone could give this place less than 5 stars. The food is excellent and very well-cooked, seasoned, and plated in a way that really makes you excited to eat! In addition, the staff and service at Hub and Spoke are high above and beyond what a normal restaurant offers. My fiancée and I were dining this morning and suddenly became the interest of several yellow-jacket looking bees, and a waitress actually came outside to help us fend them off, and helped us back inside to a more peaceful table. All in all, after dining here twice, Im super pleased. If youre looking for breakfast anywhere near Salt Lake, search no further.
The food was great! They make their own vanilla bean simple syrup, and have freshly squeezed one juice that is perfect for mimosas. The design is an assortment of electric looking finds and it is interesting to look at as no light fixture, mirror, and most of the glasses are the same. The host that seated us was on top of it. He ended up taking it drink order, and food order. This made up for it waitress she was nice but rather brusque like she didnt want to be bothered. Other than that everything else was great!
Food was good but not standout. The grasshopper shake tasted good, but was thinner than I would have preferred. My partner’s tuna melt left something to be desired, but the mashed potatoes were great. I’d be happy to visit again if someone invited me, but I probably won’t go again on my own.
Incredible food and service! The “boozy” Salted Carmel Shake just makes everything else so much better. Shrimp & Grits are awesome and deceivingly filling. The 1st time ever eating grits and was smiling after each bite!
Love this place. Have been twice and so good both times. Alot of vegetarian options for me and a few vegan ones for my partner. Their flapjacks are absolutely amazing. Only issue I gave with the place is my partner hasnt found a vegan option she loved and there are only a few on the menu.
My new favorite place to get breakfast. Very clean ingredients, amazing food! Super relaxed environment. Seth was really good as with all of the staff here. I cant say enough good things about this place. There is a wait to get a table bit 100% worth it every time. Thanks again peeps
Staff was very busy but great people. Had a great meal and really enjoyed it. Very busy for brunch and not a lot of parking available. Overall great experience really enjoyed it
Coffee was excellent. Food was great. Came in a cast iron pan. I had shrimp and grits. It was really good. Place was nice. Looks like they have some sort of shakes with liquor in them. Seems interesting. Did not try it though as I was there for breakfast. Eas not super busy when I went. Looks like they also have outside dining for nicer days. Great place, would definitely recommend to anyone.
One of our favorite places to go drive to. They have amazing food with so much flavor you cant go wrong. Weve eaten there the last two Thanksgivings....I mean no we havent! Find your own drama free Thanksgiving!
The food and service were excellent! We tried this place for the first time and loved it. The fried chicken was very good and the homemade lemonade was the best my husband has ever had. Anne is a great server and seems to love her job. We will be back!
Our server was amazing! She checked in on us frequently (at the time we went it was a bit empty) kept our water filled and offered great drink recommendations. The food was super tasty. I will definitely go again. I also appreciated that they are still requiring masks to keep everyone safe.
I love Hub & Spoke! Its the PERFECT brunch spot.Even their really basic dishes are incredible, like their french toast. The brioche is so soft and fluffy, and the whipped butter is so decadent. The portions are large, so come hungry. They also serve mimosas (past 11:30am) with all different flavors. I got the strawberry lemonade mimosa and my friend got the lavender lemonade, and both were delicious. The barista/bartender didnt skimp on the champagne, either! The baristas are also really talented, making tasty coffee drinks with pretty foam art.The staff is very kind and helpful, too. We had a table that wobbled and asked to move, so they cleaned off another open table for us and allowed us to.The ambiance is stylish and modern. During covid, theyve distanced the tables so you arent close to the other customers, and all the wait staff wear their masks.
This place is always great! Love their diverse options and fun drinks! I definitely splurge to get the boozy shake and its worth it.
The service was great, but my build your own breakfast was shockingly bland. I ordered a side pancake and it had absolutely no flavor. Not sure if I was just unlucky as most of the reviewers are positive.
The building is very nice on the outside, has quite a bit of outdoor seating, and has lots of parking. The inside is pretty plain but still nice. The staff was friendly, inviting, and attentive. The food... not so good. My wife and I both got the fried chicken dinner. The batter was THICK and overcooked, almost to the point of being burnt. We both peeled the batter off of it and there ended up being more of that than the portion of chicken. The chicken was also dry and overcooked.
We got here and it was super busy. We didn’t wait long to get seated, considering we were a party of 9. We had the pleasure of being served by Meera, who greeted us with a smile and was very helpful with taking all of our orders; doin so with a great attitude. Food was delicious and perfect portions. Atmosphere was pleasant. This was our first time dining in Utah and I must say it was a great experience.
My boyfriend and I visited for a late Sunday brunch. The wait time was short and the staff were friendly. The building had a beautiful look inside l.However there were several issues we had. Our drinks (a house lemonade and strawberry lime kiwi cocktail) didn’t come to us until after our food was delivered, which was very strange to both of us. Then, when we asked for hot sauce we were brought the wrong one, but the server walked away before we could correct him.I myself got the chicken and waffle. It was okay but the egg on top was not seasoned and was very bland. I ended up taking it off and not eating it as a result. I did enjoy the sweet potato waffle and the Chile syrup was unique and not like other places in the area.My boyfriend asked for an OJ mimosa while we were both still eating and we didn’t receive it until after we were both finished with our food, our check had been given to us, and the card had been run. I really wanted to enjoy this place since it’s so close to our home, but I’m not sure we’ll be coming back.
Excellent place, love the outdoor patio. Servers were super friendly. The biscuits and gravy, coffee, and brunch cocktail were excellent! 😁
Jon was awesome! Great food! Great service! They took care of us and made the experience even better. We had the fried chicken, the mac and cheese. A burger and a melt and it was all delicious! Thank you! We will for sure come back.
I and my friend went here for brunch recently on a Saturday for brunch. It was very crowded and we had about 10-15 minutes wait before we were seated. We also had to park in one of the nearby residential streets as the parking was full. We were seated outside and it was really nice and not loud. My friends brunch order was good, and the bacon and eggs in my brunch order was good too. But the mushrooms in my side order was overdone. Overall, I liked it and would visit again for brunch with friends.
Great place, great food, great service! Nikki absolutely deserves a raise, she is an awesome server and because of her everything was perfect! Thanks!
Hub and Spoke have great options for omnivores and vegans alike. The food portion sizes are huge, and the drinks are reasonably priced by Utah standards. This is a great spot for brunch.
This place is amazing! The chicken and waffles are the best Ive ever had! Brunch punch is delicious and not sweet like I thought it might be. Toshia was our server and she was awesome! Attentive, helpful and friendly.
Amazing food and great service! A hidden treasure. Will definitely be back the next time Im in town.
Great service, good food. It was very busy on a Saturday morning.
Great food. Highly recommend the Kentucky Hot. Seated quickly, but service took a little bit. Fair price and good portions.
Well worth a visit - especially when its slower mid day.The only issue with our visit were the weak drinks (alcoholic) - they were extremely watered down, almost like it was nothing more than water added to tequila or whiskey. Not sure if they were made wrong or what, but def wouldnt recommend them.
So delicious! Homemade chips and green salsa! Fried chicken sandwich was the best I have ever had.
Great little brunch spot! It was my first time but definitely not my last
Great food. Went for Sunday brunch and was not disappointed. It was busy, but timing and pacing felt spot on, food was great and service was great.
Very popular and busy place. They were able to get us in more quickly than anticipated. The brunch menu was robust, the food was good, and the service was top notch.
This place is vastly underrated next to whats around it for breakfast. #1) Its very pleasant and new .. 2)has plenty of space between tables and comfortable too... 3) great service . Smart people that listen..4) good food... creative and the brown skillet was tasty and presented gloriously...5) and clean ample modern bathrooms ! 6) easy parking ..7) no waiting at 9:15 AM Saturday morning... 8) served quickly and adroitly with a pleasant buzz of other diners.... 9) crayons and a useful kids menu .
Very low quality. I’m surprised by all the positive reviews. Very bland. My fries were stale.
Amazing breakfast! The crab Benedict and shrimp and grits were fantastic. Quick and friendly service too!
Love their steak and eggs. Eat here almost every other week. Would go more but its crazy busy. Great service. Wish the kale wasnt so raw.
Food was fantastic, ordered steak and eggs with hash browns. Ordered steak medium but came out well done. It was still tender and flavorful though.
The fried chicken and waffles werent too great. The breading was way too hard, and scuffed up my gums more than captain crunch. The potatoes were great, but that was better than the meal itself. The chicken was bland, and I had to complain about the proportions because my buddies ordered the same thing and got 2x more chicken. The Irish coffee I ordered was basically a half cup of whipped cream.
Amazing service! Staff is attentive and friendly! Food is on point! Great environment. One of the very best places to get brunch in SLC.Desi made the experience excellent!
I tried the fried chicken sandwich without the bacon and chutney. It was so good I didnt add any condiment.
The food is always delicious, amazing service, and really good mimosas!! Best breakfast in SLC
It was really hard to give this place a three star review, I wish there was a 3.5. I’ve had dinner there before and the dinner would definitely be four stars, but my breakfast this morning definitely was not above a three. It’s not that the food was terrible, but it definitely wasn’t excellent. My sunny side up eggs were over-cooked, and over greased. The edges were hard, and the center barely broke. The side of mushrooms we’re also overcooked and incredibly greasy, and the side of peppers were tiny and mostly sauce. The side of black beans was a joke. It was a full on soup, with maybe two black beans at the bottom. The chef did apologize and sent more, but this time there was maybe seven black beans at the bottom of the “soup.“ they did end up giving us a discount for the beans which was very kind, but the discount was just waving our coffee fee. Just crazy to pay almost $12 for two overcooked eggs, a tiny side of mushrooms and a tiny side of red peppers, with weird black soup beans. The coffee was very good. And the service was great. I will say that some of the other breakfasts as we walked through the dining room looked quite good, so I did not have any of them. The chicken and waffles on somebody’s plate looked huge and amazing. Now that would’ve been worth $12 or more. and, as I said in the beginning, dinner there was 4 stars when I had it about a year ago.
Love this diner! Highly recommend their breakfast! Loved the Nutella French toast!
Ive driven past this place many times and finally stopped in with my family. Friendly service, an inviting atmosphere, and good food. I got the vegan skillet and it was delicious, light, and full of flavor (Ill be thinking about the grits cake for a while!). I also tasted their fries from my sisters plate and they were also delicious. The price was a little steep for the type of food offered, but the portions were good without being too large. Though one visit was likely enough for me, I definitely think the joint is worth trying at least once!
Regular place to have dinnerWe ordered nachos who were cold and not even plates offered to share, burguer was fine and fries a bit salty also we ordered a cocktail that wasnt that cold... ended up paying 60 usd for 2 people eating, nothing out of the box.
The food was good and I was very satisfied. However, the service was EXCELLENT! Our host was wonderful and let us know we are beautiful people. Our server was helpful and very friendly.
Very friendly staff with a great menu. The breakfast nachos were so good! It gets busy on the weekends, but they will text you when your table is ready.
I love this place 😀! This has amazing options. You can build your own or there are specific entrees. The waiters are very attentive! I enjoyed the ambiance as well. The wait can be long on busy days but overall they can seat you quickly. My husband also said that he had the best chicken and waffle plate here!
This place is awesome! Great tasting food and an awesome menu. They have a gear brunch as well. This is a place I Utah you can actually get drinks with your brunch. It does get very busy and you may end up waiting but it is worth the wait. They food is always good and the staff never disappoints. If you are in the area check it out.
After a rough experience last Sunday where the Manager turned it into a good experience. We decided to give Hub and Spoke another shot because we were so impressed with the management and food. This visit everything went perfect. Definitely a great establishment. We spoke with the GM Ted and he was a great guy. I believe we have found a new favorite breakfast spot. Thanks Ted for the amazing hospitality. The Rasmussen Family
The boozy milkshake and iced dulce de leche latte were amazing!
I’ve been here twice, thought I’d give it another shot and both times it was just okay. Not horrible but won’t ever go back. Expensive for what you get and food is just mediocre.
A great spot for brunch! The restaurant is super cute and has a cool atmosphere. They have a great menu to choose from and delicious coffee. We came here on a Sunday with a group of 5. They said it would be 45 minutes, but it ended up being over an hour which kind of sucked. Our waitress also already added 20% gratuity onto our bill, even though we only had 5 people. I thought it was weird, but she was a good waitress and I would have tipped 20% anyways, so I didnt say anything.Overall, I do recommend this place. Just be prepared for a wait with delicious food as your reward!
Stopped here on a whim and was not disappointed. My burger was exceptional as were the fries. Service was quick, it wasnt too busy (a Thursday), and there was ample parking.
