This board game store is awesome. I received fantastic help from Mike. Mike had great board game suggestions for my kids. A very large selection of board games in stock.I also picked up the expansion for cards against humanity for the parents game night. I cant wait to play.

I was looking to get into Magic but didn’t know much about the game and the clerks were super helpful and were very understanding of my confusion. I love going to this store and I’m hoping to go back soon for a prerelease.

This is our favorite game store. They are always friendly and have so many popular board games. They also have game nights where they will teach you how to play. Thats my favorite. Love it here!!

Friends got me playing magic but I didnt really know what I was doing. They got me set up with a starter deck and some other cards, super friendly, great guys. Also there was a kid that came in with a parent looking for Pokémon cards. They were out but they gave him some other stuff for free so he didnt go home empty handed. Honestly an amazing staff. I LOVE this place! I’ve been doing my Pokémon preorders here for awhile now and they help you get the latest expansion when they can. They don’t double the prices like other local card shops do, even when demand is very high. They are honest and sell the card sets at the original retail price!

Bought some paints. Great selection and even tho they didnt have what I wanted in GW paints they had it in other brands so cant be more happy.

Wanted to write a quick review to say how cool these guys are. I briefly chatted with a couple of the dudes while buying some cards and they were friendly and pleasant. Thanks for letting our weird group hang out till close. I live in Layton but will probably head out to Sugar House GNG for my preorders from now on.

I never really cared if I purchased games from one specific place in the past. I usually went through amazon or similar online options. However, this store is the best place for all things board games. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly, and the atmosphere is awesome. I will be going to them for all my gaming needs and I recommend you do the same!

Very clean and organized. Just note this is a table top and board game store not a card shop, their card selection is very small as in a few retail packs.

The employee was really helpful and was able to help me find what I was looking for very quickly. The selection of supplies was pretty good. I definitely will be going back when I need more supplies.

Ive been to this place twice now and gotten games I like. They have a good variety of games and the staff can certainly help you pick a game that will be to your liking/preferences. In the back they have a community space to rent play games in. Ive never used it, but it looks like it would be a fun place to hang out with friends and play games. Overall Id recommend this store.

The staff here is extremely helpful. They seem to know everything about every game. Ive gone in a couple of times without any idea of what I was looking for, and both times Ive left with a game that my family loves.

I cant praise this place enough. Always friendly and super helpful. Ive preordered a ton of Pokemon stuff through email and on the phone. I probably have more correspondence with Derrek than I do my own mother at this point through email lol. Majority of stuff is retail, some is slightly marked up (which is understandable) but with all the said I wouldnt recommend another lcs before mentioning these guys. Ive been as far up as Ogden and as far south as Lehi. (Theres really nothing in Heber or Orem worth mentioning) Definitely give these guys visit!

Decent selection, friendly staff. Ive had them order specific games they didnt have in stock and have never had any issues. There is a great area in back for playing games (when there isnt a pandemic anyway), tons of free games to play and lots of terrain for wargaming. Definitely my favorite game shop in the valley.

An incredible store with a lot of different games. I could have easily dropped $1000 in there! I ended up getting the expansion for INIS, which I had been trying to get for a while. I also bought the Tower expansion (#4) for Carcassonne that I didn’t even know existed! The staff was friendly and helpful. Next time I am in town, I will definitely be going back!

This game store just does it right. They are great for preorders and they even have a rewards program. I have visited many game stores and Game Night Games has it figured out. I travel across the valley just to hit this game store (even though five or six are closer).

(Update April 19th)I am updating my experience here as a positive after receiving a great apology letter from the owner. Hearing the issues that I have experienced the store owner Tim had personal emailed me an apology letter and informed me of the changes they are making to fix these issues. Tim had stepped up and delivered excellent customer service. I would recommend Game Night Games as they really do care about their customers.I had a very bad experience purchasing magic single cards from their website. After purchasing my chosen cards there was no choice to select in store pickup or delivery. I proceeded to fill out the order and the website had me put in my address and I received a confirmation email stating my order had been shipped. I had assumed that the cards were going to be shipped to my home, but after a few days I had decided to call the store to confirm the order.The first employee that I spoke with informed me that the order was shipped and that there was no tracking details, but the order should arrive in a 3-5 days. He then said that something looked off about the order and had another employee look at it. The second employee then informed me that the order was never shipped and that I would need to come to the store to pick it up the order.A few days later and little frustrated. I decided to drive down from Kaysville after work to pick up the order. However, when I arrived to pick up the cards one of the employees informed me that one of the cards on my order, that I had already paid for, wasn’t available and that they never had that card in the first place. I was very disappointed because I needed that card for a commander deck that I was playing that night.After expressing my disappointment with the employees all I received was an apology and a refund for the card that was never there and never shipped.

This is one of the best board game stores in Utah. It has a wide selection of eurogames, puzzles, card games, and plenty of accessories for practically any game. The back half of the store is set aside for gaming, and events.

Has the best games on the market available and if they dont have it in stock just ask and they will order it! Employee and I think manager Derek is extremely helpful and responsive to any questions. It is also more than just a store it is a community and they offer game nights for pretty much any game if you are looking for players to join. Highly recommend. GAME NIGHT IS BETTER THAN AMAZON. 10/5 Stars. If youre a board game lover and you havent been you are missing out. They also have a rewards program for loyal customers.

I used to live very close to this game shop and there was a period of time I was there weekly. Everyone was kind and supportive when I first started TTRPGs and made it way less intimating. Even more so when I started GMing. I moved to another part of the valley and you really dont know a good thing until its metaphorically gone. But now I know its well worth the drive

This is a great game shop. Its my go to shop I. The city. They so far have had everything I needed. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful.

Every Christmas I buy games from this store. They know their games. Cause game boxes almost never tell you about the game play. Their staff has played most every game in stock.

This is hands down the best board game shop in town. Tucked next to Este pizza in Sugar House this place could be easy to miss. That would be a mistake. Game Night Games has a huge selection of board and card games for all ages and ability levels, Including expansions and organizers. They also have a section for miniature painting supplies. The staff is very welcoming, knowledgeable, and is always in-the-know when it comes to new releases. There is also a buy back program which feeds their used games section. You should check this often because I have found some great gems in there over the years. The best part is every time you purchase a game they let you know of any upcoming events that may interest you based on your purchase. You can really tell that these guys love what they do and are actively trying to build the community. You can obviously find games online at a bit of a cheaper price but it’s very important to support your local board game store. They are a true asset to the Salt Lake City Valley and the surrounding area. I couldn’t be more pleased with Game Night Games and can’t wait to buy my next board or card game there.

Probably the nicest game store around as far as aesthetic/visual appeal. Really helpful staff, good selection. Just feels a little compact. Wish it was a bigger space :) Still, I enjoy coming here. I think its particularly a good game store to try if you plan to bring your kids. Very family friendly.

Best board game store Ive ever been to! Excellent selection. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Some of my favorite games are ones recommended by workers (or other customers) here. You can try out games and they have various cool events. Theres a reason Ive been coming here for years, even though I have half a dozen closer stores I could go to.

Very clean, well lit, and very courteous sales people. Didnt smell funky either which is asking a lot for businesses of this nature. Good ventilation. As far as selection, lots of d&d figurines. Was able to find some dragonborn figurines that I was not able to find anywhere else. Huge TCG selection of many different varieties. I could easily blow a paycheck here.

These guys are fantastic. There have been a handful of games like Root and Wingspan which I had an extremely hard time getting my hands on, they were able to add me to a list and call me when the game arrived, they even informed me when the next printing of the games would be. In one instance they were not shipped the correct amount of games, they called me and informed me that they did not have enough copies at the time and let me know when I could expect more to be in stock. This place has some seriously great customer service. If you like board games and want to explore the hobby more, this is a great place to start.

One of my favorite places to go. Great workers, great atmosphere. Everyone is extremely welcoming and are very easy to make friends with. I still ask questions all the time there, and people who dont even work there will answer them for me. Its also great because it feels (and is) like a local gamestore. They also have a very wide selection of table top games and the employees are extremely knowledgeable about all the games there.

If you are a gamer and looking for a place to play with other people, this is your kind of place. If you are looking for games to take home to play with your family, this is not the place to go. There are a few games to purchase but not near what I was hoping for. We were there for 15 minutes and not one employee asked if we needed help. We went to another game store and got the help we needed and walked away with several games.

Decided to drop by here the other day to check out the prices of the newest release of the collectible card game. They seemed to have a wide selection of games for all ages. The man behind the counter was knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. The prices seemed competitive with other game stores I have spent money at. Parking seems a bit limited. Egress is not a problem. Will stop by again.

Game Night Games is a wonderful shop! There is a lot of variety in their merchandise and it is fairly priced. The events they hold are fun to attend. Everyone there is nice and has the best hygiene of any game store I have attended. Thank you to Mike, Fish, and the rest of the team (Im sorry I dont know everyones names) You are the best!

This is one of my favorite board game stores. The staff is friendly and helpful. They know what theyve got stocked and if they dont know off the top of their heads, they can look it up.They have a game library, and open gaming both of which are freely accessible. Its a great way to play games you want to try out, and to find others to play with.They also host events. I was here recently playing a few games that Envoy was demoing. And I won something, that I traded for a gaming mat!

Great store! VERY impressive selection of games and a very knowledgeable staff that is happy to teach you the basics to help you get the item you want. A favorite feature is the game room in the back where you can try from a large assortment of games for free so you can find one you like.D&D, MTG, and tons of strategy table top games. It would be nice if they had a bigger mini selection, but that is a very minor gripe.Love the store.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The game selection is pretty good. It is a expensive, but I think the premium prices are worth it to have a physical place to go to for help selecting games and seeing the games and play in person. They have an area in the back of the store with tables and games ready for anyone to play. That is my favorite feature of this store, and its where I have discovered several games I later went on to purchase. I like coming here once in a while, even though its out of the way from me personally.

Staff is always friendly and more than happy to answer any questions you may have. They allow people of all hobbies to hang out and play in there store, granted there isn’t already a scheduled event. One of my favorite card places. The only complaint would be the size. It’s pretty small, so it can’t accommodate large groups of people.

We love this store. They have a great selection of games. In the back is a game room where anyone can come and play their favorite game. But the added benefit is that you can test drive them before you buy. The staff are all gamers and they can guide you through their inventory to find the best game for you and your family.

By far this has to be the best game store Ive ever been to. Not necessarily because of prices or the types of games they sell (which the prices are decent and the game variety is massive), but because it has the most Healthy and attractive environment. Every time I walk into this store Im greeted with a smile and a warm welcome to the store. Not only that but just from a few visits to the store some of the staff went out of there way to remember my name. Very friendly staff. Gaming community is also very nice and fun to talk too.I would highly recommend this store to any big time gamers or anyone looking for a solid board game. Would give 10 stars if I could.

They are very knowledgeable about types of games and can even help you find new games that are similar to old games you love. We went in looking for an out of print game and they recommended a couple newer games with a similar style of gameplay. Very helpful! The staff also helped us find the perfect used game to take home at a discounted rate. We love them and their awesome staff! Will be going back for future game purchases!

They also have such a wide and interesting selection. Even better, they have a room in back where you can try out some of the games before you buy.

I visited Game Night Games to watch a Magic the gathering pre-release. The environment was very welcoming and the staff were willing to take the time to serve me. They were busy with the pre-release but paying customers still mattered. They had helpful advice and fun information that made the trip memorable. Even the other people visiting had respect for each other.The only issue was parking was hard to find. I ended up pulling into the area behind the building. Which was a tinsy bit difficult to navigate inside of.

Dropped into this store while visiting Salt Lake City. The store is fantastic, with a huge selection of board games for all ages and styles. Theres a section with minis and paints (looked like they carry Vallejo Game Color paints), as well as tabletop war and strategy miniature games like X-Wing.The back of the shop has numerous tables for game-playing, and it seems they have regular events. They also have a game library you can use to just grab a game and play while youre there.The staff member behind the counter was friendly and helpful. Everything was clean and well-lit. Definitely recommended as a place for gamers, especially board games.

HAnds down the best game store in salt lake. This place even has quality German games. So much better games than the game stores in the malls. I dont know why they are not always packed because its such a cool store. The employees are knowledge about the games and interested in them. In the back there is a game room where you can play opened games for free. Then there is a Wednesday night even where lots of people come to play games.

Ive visited multiple board game stores in Utah and this is by far the best one Ive been to. The staff is extremely helpful and knowledgable, and their collection of Euro-games is off the charts. I live in Provo but would gladly drive to Salt Lake to visit this store over others. Brilliant staff. Beautiful collection. Worth every visit.

I always judge a game store by how well they interact with children and new gamers. I was not disappointed by GNG! New and seasoned, young and old gamers. The staff indulged their questions and shared their fandoms.A decent selection and plenty of room in the back for sessions.Parking however is abysmally inadequate, and the nearby intersection doesnt lend itself well to foot traffic. The lot isnt adequate for one of the businesses in the building, let alone the two or three plus the neighboring building.I recommend the store, but try to visit off hours or park near and cross streets.
