This is their old store. They moved to a new location. 3825 South Redwood Road. It is a bigger building and they still have the same services as they did from their old store.
I used to like this place before (Tay Do). Since owners changed recent couple months, i found things are not fresh. I bought some foods and found out they are bad, same with shrimp (tep bac banh xeo). Last week i bought a bag of crab legs $49, i melt something not really right so i asked them if it’s fresh. Yesterday i open bag and smell bad, i broke couples crab legs and the color likely yellow red (should be white), smell really bad. Can’t use at all. Hope they can improve
Honestly, the most delicious, authentic AND cost effective food/market. The market is amazing, great products to browse and the owners are great. The Banh Mi and Spring Rolls with the peanut sauce are unparalleled. Trust me.
I love this place! The owner is super nice, the store is stucked with everything I need. I am learning Vietnamese cuisine and they are patient with me and give good tips. Everybody says hi and I love love to get my fish fried. I keep coming back.
Does anyone know if they relocated? I went and it looks like it went out of business?
I used to like this place back in the days, but not anymore. The food has not been that good for the past recent years. It could be that they keep changing out their chefs.Today was their grand opening at the new location and they had “10% discount”. However, it turned out that most of the items we picked (more than $150 worth items) were not eligible for the “10% discount”. They had a small list posted right in front of the cashier area, which basically the discount wouldn’t be applied to most of the items in store. Not only that, they charged us different prices from what they had on the price stickers. For example, a box of 30 Omachi instant noodles packages costed $15.95 as posted on the sticker, they ended up charging us $17.99 instead. So we complained to them and they said oh cuz you bought a whole box so it’d be more expensive…. SMFH???? So according to them, if we bought 30 noodles packages separately, they’d only charge us $15.97. But since we bought a “full box” with 30 packages inside, they’d have to charge us $17.99. A couple bucks were not a big deal to us, but we just didn’t like the way they answered. And they were pretty unprofessional, unorganized and not upfront/clear with their item counts and charges. We had to correct them couple times for their item miscount. As Vietnamese, my family would like to support Vietnamese supermarket. However, after what happened today, I don’t think we would ever come back. Chinatown market would definitely be our go to from now on.
They call me shrimp lady. 😂 prices and quality food are here. Love this place!
Update your hours please, I showed up 20mins before closing hours, and everything was locked
Great place for to go food unfortunately most of the employees dont speak English and its hard to get more info or right details
Got two leaf wrapped surprises for lunch and a can of roasted coconut water. The surprises were both challenging and alluring in flavor. Presentation was on point. The proprietor is clearly concerned of covid and I realized between our masks, the plastic shield, the cell phone he was talking on and including language, there were 5 barriers between me and the man running the register.
Yummy Vietnamese sandwiches and prices are cheaper side compared to others .
Not open until 10. Came at 7:45 and the doors were already locked. Please update your hours
The store manager screaming over the customers.Worst customer service ever
They have a tiny kitchen. Banh mi snd fresh shrimp spring rolls are pretty good. Not too overpriced.
Friendly staff and very helpful, big variety in a little store. And the spring rolls are yummy.
Its ok.
Good atenttion
Over all the store is amazing, great service. Only down side is that when they fry the fish, its almost always over-cooked or undercooked.
Great prices and fresh food. One thing to note- I came at 8 pm and it was already closed. Need to update the closing time.
This is my goto. I gave me review an extra star because the new ownership is doing really well and have really cleaned the place up. They did a lot of work and its another family ran business. Im very impressed and happy that its doing better. Its cleaner and well organized. Because of this, I will continue to support them.
Need to speak english
They have the best fresh seafood at a reasonable price. As well as a lot of different Asian foods. They also cook the fish for you which doesnt cost extra, but i always leave a tip! Oh yeah dont forget to tell them to add salt on your fish when you get it fried, its not really Salt but some special blend of seasonings that make their fried fish the best in Utah!!!!
Not the best top 5 Asian market and definitely not a supermarket by any means. The market is under new ownership, the owners have never bothered to maintain the store appearance so its not very appealing inside and out, expect a very Strong Odor once you walk into the establishment. Its a strong odor mix of raw fish, live sea shell, pork meat etc... along with every odor from every Vietnamese dish cooking in their kitchen. Their price are higher than most of the Asian markets in the surrounding area but their in house fleshly made Vietnamese Sub Sundwiches are thee Best than any of the other asian markets. Their subs sandwiches are the only reason why I stop in Kim Thành market and the only thing Ill buy at Kim Thành. I do the rest of my shopping at the other surrounding Asian markets (better prices).
Vietnamese/Asian (mainly Chinese) store. Prices slighty higher than other similar stores. Although a few items are way cheaper than others. Aisles are little bit tight in few spots. Have a take out food counter (mostly Vietnamese style dishes). BBQ pork and duck available on selected day.
The lady was extremely nice to us. And the prices are reasonable
I like it! they have a variety of snacks you cant find anywhere else. And reasonable prices.
Deli in back has good banh mi sandwiches
The cashiers and the employees gave me PTSD like 1 year ago
Bought the 5.00 combo lunch..very tasty! Staff was very nice and helpful.
Best place to get Asian coffee blends, cookware, food, ECT.
Excellent place to get Asian style cookware, knives, dishes, teacups, etc. They do have packages of Bean thread noodles in the back of the store, which is what I originally went in for.
Just bought 3 vietnamese sandwiches really good and very generous with meats. Better than other like kim Heangmarket.
Homemade banh mai and spring rolls .affordable
They have yummy fish
🐟 love when they fry their fish so fresh and delicious 💙
Great little shop people very helpful and friendly check it out
I had several questions about a product, they were very attentive and take the time to help me
Oriental people not that helpful
I enjoyed the variety of Asian fresh fruits and vegetables not readily found at most markets.
Best banh mi in the valley at the best price. Dac Biet and Xu Mai are my personal favorites. Xu Mai is drippy so be careful.
The best fresh fish in Salt lake city. I recommend this place.
This is the worst place to get groceries is really bad costumer service, they the prices really high I wouldnt recommend it
Good sandwiches. My favorite is the banh mi thit nuong (grilled pork). However their seafood is not always fresh.
Great selection of sea food not a good smell but none of these places with seafood do so cant complain good reasonable prices too
For Americans trying to get things for Chinese food, theres not much help considering most of the employees dont understand you. On top of that they arent checking dates and you may end up getting expired sauces or what have you. But they do have stuff supermarkets dont cary
Watch out forThe cashier owner lady always try to charge you extra money if you dont pay attention, this is the second time that try on me, the first time she got me whit $7 and today she overcharge me $10 but i caught her, and she pretended that she wont speak english, i dont get why she wants to keep taking money away from customers, whe she is already loaded whit money, the only reason i keep going back is the fried fish 🐟
Okay so this place has awesome bahmi sandwiches, but I have to give 3 star because of the service,
Great place to visit great food good store Representatives 2018
This Vietnamese market has a lot of fresh things in thier restaurant and it is cheap.
Still good but it seems the new management is no as friendly as the previous one
I can understand peoples misgivings about the service I guess. But I dont know what you were expecting. This is a supermarket with a full service Vietnamese deli toward the back. No seating. No servers, etc. They just reminded me of some of the vendors in Vietnam. Not rude per se, but not much patience if you dont know what youre doing. The only option is to take food to go, so I didnt see service was much of a factor. All Ive had so far is the combination bahn mi. It was very good. Super authentic flavors. The bread was a little to big and dry and wasnt nearly as good as the stuff in Vietnam. But the fillings were terrific. I cant wait to go back and attempt to get them to understand what I want to try next! I saw some Bahn Xeo while I was there...and Im already dying to go back and try those out.
Good Vietnamese grocery store. I usually go there to get fried fish.
Mean cashier, been standing on line with my stuff on the counter and some other Japanese, Chinese, I dont know just walked up and payed her stuff while Im still standing there. She, the cashier didnt even say anything.
Great banh mis, fish always looks a little old.
This is not the cleanest place, and the service is not the greatest. They have good prices and close to my house.
They had the items that Ive had a hard time finding.
Great service good seafood options
Have food to go, especially the egg roll is really good
Great food and good price
Classic Vietnamese market with great eats.
Kim thang supermarket is the best.
Bahn mi is my most favorite
Great place for fried fish.
Poor service, rude management, would not recommend.
Lots of fun and and variety.
Can always count on them to have a few more things for sale.
Poor customer service they wait 5 to 10 minutes to help you but know that you are there they dont say any to they just look at you
Poor customer service, cashiers are mean
Well organized & fresh foods.
Good food, fresh fish, veggies and others
Good food but the service is by far the worst I have seen!
