We love La pequenita and come here once a week for our Brazilian food/snack fix. I love how everything is reasonably priced compared to the other Brazilian shops here in Salt Lake.

Pleasant and compassionate. Amazing spices and a range of items you cant find in other stores. This is a very special shop where you can find tons of goods from South America at a decent price:) The music and the environment are friendly and the workers are pleasant. They have a vast variety of teas.

The selection is limited to non perishable foods and frozen goods. I was hoping for vegetables and fresh fruit. The store is cluttered and not really organized. I wasn’t impressed with this store. To pay with debit card there is a minimum of 5 dollars you have to pay. I don’t think I will be returning.

They have a nice variety of South American products BUT price accuracy in non existent.Very often what the price is on the tag on the shelf is not what he will ring at the register but funny enough you always ring higher and never lower then what the price tags in on the shelves IF, huge IF and when there is a price on the shelf. I estimate that 1/2 of their products do not have prices on them and it is a wild guess to whatever it would cost. They have a basic variety of different fun products from the main largest South American countries such as Argentina Uruguay Colombia, Brasil and Peru, Lots and lots and lots of 🧉 mate and Panettone specially from Peru ❤️I would shop there more often but i dislike the lack of prices on products, and several of my Latino friends say the same thing. Sadly It reminds us of the game played by dishonest merchants in poor countries in South America and Africa ripping off customers for an extra $1 whenever they can, and since i have brough this issue with the management, aka, the 2 owners of the mom and pop shop i feel discouraged shopping there some times and hope that this is an oversight BUT one of the cashiers has gone as far as ringing me twice for the same item in the past i dont have much faith that this is an accidental oversight and whenever i shop, i make an effort to memorize prices, ask prices and check my receipt even after having my eyes glued on to the cashiers computer screen. Mistakes seldom happen at other groceries stores where i shop right, but after sour experiences here i feel discouraged. On the one occasion I went to the cashier with three packets of coffee a few different candies and cookies, my Mates and random things and while i was on my fone an older lady cashier charged me for my 3 packets of coffee again and when I brought it up to her attention after the transaction was completed she said unapologetic I forgot i had already charged for this and continued ringing my Argentinian Guarana an Peruvian Panettone without removing the extra coffee bags so i had to remind her again she was still charging me extra for the 3 bags of coffee and she finally removed it from my receipt. But only 2, later on i noticed sje still kept one extra bag. Does she feels good about charging me the extra $4.99 and it made a difference in her day? It made it in mine, it hGave me resolve to write a review knowing that this is a common practice still alive and unfair to trusty customers. They have a large list of products for a small store, mistakes can happen once in awhile, but because mispricing has happened on like 50% - 75% of my shopping trips there, i am not as convinced that this is just a software issue and oversight as i once thought it to be. Come on, is that extta $4.99 going to be worth it at the end of;the day while burning a customer? I dont think so. Charge what the price tag says, price tag ALL your products, and dont charge for extra things by accident. Once a year maybe i would believe it, once a shopping, nah. I dont like it.

Everything you need to stock your Peruvian pantry. Products I havent found anywhere else in SLC and at much better prices than ordering them online. Yes, the aisles are crowded. Id rather have a bigger selection than wide open aisles. That being said I suppose its not very wheelchair friendly. Just a heads up if you use a wheelchair.

Hello all, the la Pequeñita store is such a delightful place to shop. It’s nearly perfect, except maybe for a few things, like there’s not much parking, so if you go around a holiday, you might have to park on the street. Listen though, if you are looking for a place where it is totally possible for you to bump into that “special someone,” LOOK NO FURTHER! This store is tiny, and the aisles are kind of narrow, so you will have some opportunities to make friends there. Now, during the pandemic, let’s give a healthy six feet of distance to each other as much as possible, but the minute the pandemic is over, let’s get back to standing together in close proximity and saying hello to unmasked strangers without feeling scared of catching a deadly virus. I would bet that before the pandemic, people DEFINITELY have fallen in love at la Pequeñita. It has EVERYTHING: mood lighting, cool drinks, music, and paneton. If you need South American food and such, this is the place to go.

La Pequeñita has products from across South America. Youll find tons of things here that arent available in the Latino section of the local grocery and Walmart. Just dont expect to find everything. They cant possibly stock a wide selection from all countries in their smallish store. Brazil has about 20 get of shelf space, Chile and Peru have about 15 and so on. So, expect to find the essentials. The prices are ok. They have to ship everything to the store in relatively small quantities. The folks are nice, which is a plus.

I loved it! I havent been able to find my Peruvian snacks since I went there four years ago, and they had it. It was somewhat expensive, but expected since it has to be shipped from down there and then they have to make a profit. Altogether, they had everything from Besos de Mozas to Morochas and so much more.

I love to be able to get things from Brazil, but you have to be careful because you dont want to pay a lot for something that it is already expired. Or get something that you have to hurry up and consume within one week or two because of their expiration date and not because they are perishable.Something else I like is knowing the price of everything in the store, and not have surprises when I check out. They seem to forget to put prices out on the floor.I like an official receipt when I pay stores like that, not just them adding things up on a calculator.

Im not local but was visiting and found this place on a Google search for Brazilian stores. This store packs a lot in a small space! To the best of my understanding it is a store for foods and goodies from all of South America. To be honest, once I found the Brazil section, thats where I stayed. They have a lot of stuff. I bought a bunch! And their deals on 6-packs of 2 liter Guaraná Antarctica were the best Ive found. If Im ever in Salt Lake City again, this will be my first stop. I loved it.
