I had the most horrible experience at this store. I went in to purchase a new kitchen faucet. I made my selection and then went to inquire if they contracted services for installment.I was told at the customer service desk to ask the ladies at the pro desk. I walked over and asked, and the lady was pleasant at first but informed me (a bit impatiently and in a flustered unsure manner) that they dont do that for such small jobs. Okay, no problem and it wouldnt have been, I would have just gone elsewhere. No big deal right?Well apparently in an attempt to help she frustratingly asked another lady walking up to the pro desk the question I asked about service. This lady was RUDE from go! I didnt ask, the other lady did, but she directed her snotty attitude right at me as if I asked the most ridiculous question on the planet. She yelled over at me, We dont have contractors for JUST A FAUCET install...try the yellow pages for that. She then proceeded to roll her eyes and then laugh w/another lady who was helping her bring wood panels up front on a cart. I just didnt understand why she had to be such a rude jerk to me about it.It was a simple question. The answer should have been- Im sorry we dont have contractors out for small installs. Nope, lets be a huge rude jerk about it. I was very taken aback by her behavior and attitude, and I immediately felt awkward and unwanted. This was bad, but it set off my anxiety (I have PTSD) and made me feel attacked.I walked BACK to the faucet section and put the faucet back and walked back to the customer service area to tell the lady there how rude that employee had been to me about a SIMPLE question.I dont work there, thats why I asked what their policy was on instillation! Are customers suppose to be psychic now? Are we bothering you jerks if we have a legit question for your employees? The lady didnt seem to give one crap that I was spoken to in such a manner, and her co-worker at the customer service desk was actually leaning over the partition near the counter with a HUGE grin on her face. She clearly felt my being treated in such a manner was just hilarious. It was very clear to me that no one gave 2 flips about how I was treated, or the manner in which they behaved to customers. Ive worked in customers service and retail for most of my life, had these people been on my clock theyd have been reprimanded harshly! I didnt want anyone fired, as I realize everyone can have a crappy day...but I DID NOT DESERVE to be treated in such a manner. From start to finish I felt disregarded and mocked.I left and went to my car where I had a minor panic attack from the experience, which is soooo much fun to go through. Jerks.I then went to Lowes where I was IMMEDIATELY helped, directed to the proper department, and was able to not only pick out a cheaper version of the same style faucet I wanted, but they ALSO set up installation for me and were warm, kind, and very helpful throughout the entire process.I will NEVER EVER set foot in Home Depot AGAIN! Youve lost my business for ever!
