I went with my parents, both of whom enjoyed their meal and coffee. I ordered a breakfast taco, and it looked more like a quesadilla, which is fine, I suppose, but the egg in the tortilla was overcooked, and overall, the taco didnt have a good flavor. They have decent coffee, toast, sausage, and eggs over easy.

Always awesome!! Usually order the San Angelo and it’s consistently perfect! Love that it’s on sourdough and it’s toasted! (Just like mama used to make for me!) the sweet tea is a huge bonus and I love that they use the cactus juice to sweeten it…super yummy! Service is always with a smile!! Mesquite Bean Cafe serves breakfast and lunch, mostly simple fares but extremely delicious. I have gone to lunch here multiple times, and they never disappoint... my favorite is the jalapeño chicken soup which they serve on Tuesday.The cafe is not huge, the decor and furniture is a little outdated, but I don’t come here to look at them, I come for the food. The price is affordable, Parking is a little bit limited. They are open Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am to 2pm.

This food is pure flavor. Everything was properly seasoned. You will leave full and satisfied if you get the daily special. The quality of the food is a step above what my expectations were, walking in. Would highly recommend to anyone in San Angelo.

Great food and best prices in area. Nicely decorated. Plain, simple, and clean. Not too many places where you can get a breakfast sandwich for less than $5 anymore. Service was great, and barely any people in the am hours, as most are late risers here. Only about 5 items on the breakfast menu and hours are limited, which is why I gave it 4 stars. Open at 8AM, which is earlier than most places here, but only open until 2PM, and not open on weekends. Conveniently located in the downtown area and easy to find.

The tilapia lunch special was amazing! The lunch beef tenders were oh so tender and juicy. Yum! The green beans had a sweet taste to them, not my style but still good. The prices are great. Ive heard great things about this place so I decided to try it. I dont know if it was what my friend and I ordered, but we just werent impressed. Nothing special. We did like the cookies at the front, they were yummy. Service was friendly and attentive.

Went here with a group of co workers for a birthday lunch at the request of the Birthday girl. I got the beef bits with sauteed mushrooms and aus gus sauce. Wow! Meat always super tender and super tasty! Everyone I asked loved their food! The place is pretty small... But the staff is really friendly. Will definitely go back in the future.

I am not quick to leave negative reviews. I also give places at least three attempts. This morning as the last time I eat at the Mesquite Bean. Their breakfast menu is small. Five items. Yet for the third time I waited for over 30 minutes for briskets and gravy and a egg sandwich. The waitress was very friendly and apologized for the wait. But after three visits and three very long waits for simple menu items I am done. The food was fine but not worth the wait.

Local San Angelo restaurant thats a great place for lunch. Food is satisfying with just the right touch of down home comfort!
