As soon as I walked through the door I was greeted by cashier, who, when asked where item I was shopping for was, directed me to department she thought it might be in but was going to call to make certain. The department she suggested sounded right so I told her not to worry and headed that way. Once there I ran into an employee and asked her and was shown exactly where item was. Both employees where very courteous and polite, exemplary employees, very professional.

Really nice place with very friendly people who are knowledgeable and very helpful. You pay for what you get. Its a little more than WalMart or the big places but worth it for anyone that actually needs help.

BUYER BEWARE: They do not honor their return policy and will renege on it as they see fit. The item I purchased was $99.99. I never ended up using said item so I went to return it. I was within the 30 day window (by 13 days), I had the original receipt, I had bought the item from this store, and the item had not even been taken out of the box. When I went to return it the manager told me that they dont accept returns for items from this particular manufacturer, even though it never said that on the original receipt nor was I informed of this. Its not like this was a $1000 item I was trying to return. Store is run by a bunch of cheapskates that dont honor their own return policy. Not to mention what kind of a store needs a manager involved in a simple return of an item under $100?? Micromanage much??

Never thought Id say this about a hardware store, but I really enjoyed visiting Ace today. Found some great BBQ seasonings and plants. They had tons of pet supplies too. Mostly though they had associates all over the place ready AND willing to help. I will be back!

This is one of the best Ive ever been to never in my life have I been able to buy my groceries and all my Hardware needs at the same place

I purchased a Stihl leaf vacuum a little over 12 months ago. The price was $200. This product has never functioned well, and required me to have the spark plug replaced after the 3rd use. It hasnt consistently started, idled without assistance, and failed to restart after the first start for over an hour each time. After my 12th usage a week ago, it would NOT start. I found out from a Stihl dealer that it has 45 lbs of compression and needs a new motor. Used 12 times only at my residence and now the motor is out. I will not purchase another gas-powered Stihl product. If youre going to be required to replace a product every year, purchase a less expensive electric version for $60 -$80. Total junk.

ALWAYS (emphasis mine) what I need at Westlake. In this case hardware for a product my wife bought that came with defective hardware. Westlake was able to come up with a solution in a matter of moments that cost less than $2.00.

I consider this place a quick stop for the average home repair.

The employees are super helpful. Pretty much after a minute of letting you get to the general area of what your looking for one of the employees will come and ask you if you need help. They have very good customer service.

I give it three stars because you really dont have helpful people there that are willing to help you or ask if they can help you. Their stuff is pretty basic I think a little bit higher price than other stores but overall its a decent place.

So disappointed. We have used this place often and today we were treated terrible. Once we reached the counter, the price was different from what we were told and what was posted. The sweet lady at the register asked the same guy that wasnt friendly to start for help. He said what? She states that the price was wrong..he said so..and who says it is. She was clearly embarrassed. I told him the man in the back that helped us told us the price. He then said what do you want me to do about it? I decided to call management to let them know..to no surprise, she had the same attitude. Guess we know where he gets it from. Team leader..lead by example. I felt so sorry for that cashier. You should treat your team members with respect. This is about customer service and common courtesy..not the price.

Westlake Ace Hardware is a true hardware store feeling. Unlike big box stores, they have knowledgeable and friendly staff to help you with your projects. This store has even had parts Ive needed that other big box stores havent.I dinged it a star, because it might take you a minute to find one of their staff to help you. This may be due to the reduced staffing they have, or the fact that they actually spend quality time with each customer.
