We came here for the first time on September 18th shortly after they opened that morning. I was surprised to see they made custom donuts. I waited 10 minutes for my dozen donuts, which was fine because they were all made to order. The very disappointing part was I also ordered 4 sausage, egg and cheese sandwiches with chopped bacon and maple drizzle and that took 30 minutes. About 20 minutes into the wait, I asked why is it taking so long. The girl responded saying all of our products are frozen and we have to defrost them If you make these for breakfast why is everything frozen? Shouldnt you have some already defrosted so customers dont have to wait so long? Then I saw others who ordered after me get their sandwich before me. The guy making them was moving very slowly, sitting on a stool staring at the microwave. When I got home and opened the box, I saw they never added the chopped bacon and maple drizzle! Very very disappointing!

Great donuts, sticky floor. The variety of donuts is great at Duck Donuts, went in right after they opened and got my donuts pretty fast. The staff was very friendly and the donuts tasted great. Only negative was the sticky floors, reminded me of going to the movies.

Duck Donuts is a create your own Donut Shop. Its a simple concept and well executed. The menu here is easy to understand and the build your own ideas are vast. There is also a menu of pre-crafted choices, as well as limited time seasonal options. The Donuts here have always been great! Best-in-town? Probably not, but you wont be disappointed either. This location is rather new, though the interior at the time of my visit was a little underwhelming. Not to say it was dirty or anything. It wasnt, but it just doesnt look quite as lively as it has in the past. The staff here is courteous and friendly. Though the place is rather quiet. Its a neat place for a quick visit if youre in the mood for a bit of a different Donut.

If you want to get a donut sundae you might want to bring your own spoon. Ive never used a more worthless spoon in my life.Store was clean and staff was friendly. However somehow this location didnt live up to the other one we have visited in town.

We came for a dozen donuts as requested by my daughter for her birthday. At first I was impressed with the cleanliness and atmosphere, if it werent for Covid I could easily see people wanting to pull up a seat and enjoy their donut(s) and coffee. The second thing standing out was the courtesy of the staff. The ladies making the donuts and adding toppings made a point to let the kids see what was happening to build their creations, the gentleman at the register was happy to oblige getting waters for the girls, and made a point to say hello and welcome each customer. I later found that the gentleman I refer to is the owner, Ben Newell. I shared with him that it had been about 12 years since I had eaten my last donut, but I made an exception for that trip. The donuts themselves are fantastic, I went right for the bacon topped, and it instantly made me think of pancakes and bacon but in the best way. They are not stingy with the toppings, and each coming out freshly fried and warm just makes it melt in your mouth. 5 star trip all the way.

The place is clean and the employees are nice.Due to covid-19, were not allowed inside, but the online ordering was pretty simple.We text them the parking space we were in and a few minutes later the freshly made donuts came out warm.They have a great variety of donuts and even let you choose various topping to create your own!

First time at this location, also got the smores frappe and my sister ordered the banana pudding milkshake. Omg the milkshake was so smooth! Definitely one of the best Ive had, will be trying other flavors. Donuts were warm, freshly made and delicious. Love their wide variety of drink selection, I love a good sweet drink.

Talk about fresh. Donuts made to order and the coffee is good as well. They are surprisingly light as well and doesnt feel like a brick of dough when you eat them. Well worth the price, but you also get a better price for a 1/2 or full dozen. Will be returning for sure.

First time here! So many flavor combos to choose from! The vanilla cake donuts alone are worth the trip; super fresh (made on order), light and delicious vanilla flavor. My favorite ones are the maple bacon and blueberry cheesecake. Id totally rock a half dozen of those. Didnt try the coffee this trip and will definitely be back again.

Doughnuts were awesome but the service will make you walkout. Rude employees and they could not get a simple order straight . I finally gave up and wrote it on a piece of paper of each individual doughnut I wanted. If they arnt capable of getting a Oder down after 3 tries then they need to write it down.

I have never tried a donut with bacon and today I tried one at Duck Donuts and it was so good. I like that they cook the donuts fresh to your order. Support our local business and go to Duck Donuts today you wont be disappointed.

While the drinks and donuts were delicious, the person with the short,curly, dyed red hair taking the order needs to learn how to interact with people. We werent even greeted, she just stared at us like we were bothering her. Anytime we said something we wanted to order and she didnt hear us she responded with hmm? This happened several times throughout the order. Please learn to speak to customers and interact positively instead of us feeling like were bothering you. Other than that, we enjoyed our purchase. I hate to leave a review like this, but I believe this is necessary to build a better and friendlier environment with your customers if you intend for them to keep coming by and supporting your business.

One word for these donuts: original. They push the boundary of what can go on a donut which I give credit for being daring. Go for the simpler for a sure bet and you won’t be let down. Just be open minded with the wilder donuts. This place is a must visit if you love donuts.

First time here, the cashier explained everything which made it easy. He was super nice.Yes it was busy so it took a little while, but the wait for the milkshake was even longer. Tried a few flavors and really enjoyed them.The birthday milkshake had too many sprinkles for me. I was basically chewing the milkshake.😅

This was our first time here and it did not disappoint. They are currently doing curbside only so we called to place an order outside the restaurant. They were very quick to answer the phone and take our order. I was only going to order 4 donuts but they gave me the option to do a half dozen for about $2 more which I appreciated it. It took about 10 min for them bring us out order but the donuts where warm so I knew they were fresh. Overall the service was great and the donuts were so delicious.

I was a little disappointed with the donuts. They were made and boxed up super messy. It took about 10 to 15 minutes for them to painstakingly make my donuts and they still were such a mess. The flavor was good, but not great. Probably wouldnt try it again.

The donuts are good, very creative, and very sweet (lots of sugar) - so its more of a niche product than a regular donut breakfast spot.In typical San Antonio fashion, this place was filthy. There were flies eating the toppings - which were a mess, spilling out all over the place - and hundreds of fingerprints on the window/door as if it hadnt been cleaned in months. There were 3 employees, one of which didnt even look up from her cellphone the entire 10 minutes I was there.I felt like the employees thought everyone knows what to do/order, but being my first time I was overwhelmed at first and it took me telling them it was my first time visiting to even get a hello and an explanation of how it works.Will I go back? Probably, but not anytime soon since its really a lot of sugar.

These arent donuts like I think of donuts when I hear the word donut. These are more like tiny little unique and personal pastries of love. Eat em while theyre still hot for a real special treat. SO GOOD.

My grandfather was thrilled because he loves cake donuts and he said his favorite was the maple bacon. He signed up with DoorDash specifically so he could order some himself. Amazing donuts! Taste as fluffy as cake!! It is a fun experience watching them decorate the donuts. Worth a visit for sure. The maple bacon donut was awesome but so were the glazed ones!!

Nothing special about the greasy cake donuts (they were actually pretty nasty) but I can say a lot about the greasy box that was given to me (obviously my donuts were not as greasy as the hands that handle my box), it even stained my passenger seat (who could give a customer a greasy blotted carton board?). Not recommended.

Tried Duck Donuts for the first time on Friday. The young lady at the register was very friendly and helpful. There was so much yumminess to choose from and she was patient and kind. Sorry I cant recall what the name of the coffee I got but it was gooood.

I dont know what it is but this location doesnt quite seem to be as good as the Huebner location(maybe because this is new location& theyre still working out the kinks) . The inside of the donut was full of holes which suggests air in the batter. Most of my bacon topping fell off the donut after the 1st bite. I was so excited to have one on my side of town but Ill happily drive over to Huebner because this cant be run by the same people. Also the young ladies working are nice and all but pretty slow and prime time might not be the time to train new employees.

Pros:- Actual donuts are fantastic, easily better than most other places in San Antonio- Lots more on their menu than just donutsCons:- They will tell you itll be about a 15 minute wait after you place a one dozen order. Ive been here 7 times, and 5 of them were over 45 mins. The other 2 were about 20 mins so no big deal on those other 2.- When you come in to pick up donuts, staff will ignore your presence unless you say excuse me a couple times, even when right in front of the counter- Out of the 7 times Ive placed an order, all 7 I was put on a quick hold first for about 5 mins, which is weird when most times I call like 3 mins after they open to literally avoid a massive line

Great warm doughnuts, wonderful flavors and fun seasonal choices! Recommend Duck Donuts over Dunkin or Krispie. Probably wouldnt order another latte here, tasted like reg coffee, steamed milk and no syrup.

Had just finished dinner next door to Duck Donuts and decided to take some home to my kids. My husband and I walked in and the three employees just kind of glanced up at us and one of the employees quickly said, we close in 6 minutes. I immediately responded by saying, Great, we got here just in time. The three girls seemed a bit frustrated as we tried to figure out what we wanted to purchase. My husband then asked, Do you guys have any coffee. Their immediate response was, We took all the coffee to the back. That didnt sit very well with him, so he got frustrated and walked out! I, on the other hand, asked one of the girls, what time exactly does your store close. One responded, 7. I then, said, so you stop serving coffee before you close? She said yes. I said, out of curiosity, What time is that exactly. One of the girls said, 6:50. So, bottom line...they close when they want and stop serving when they want even though their website and door sign say Open til 7. I think everyone would agree with me, especially the owner, that in times like these, you dont turn away a paying customer. Every customer counts. If your hours display Open til 7, then every product should still be sold! You walk into any large department store, they dont stop selling you their product because its almost quitting time. They may close the doors behind you if its past their closing time, but they still service your needs. Youre the customer and theyre getting paid to provide a service! I only continued my purchase because I promised my kids donuts. Next time, Ill be heading to Super Donuts on Shanefield! Great service and awesome donuts!

Im very impressed with how polite and quick the staff were during this mornings rush. Even when items were missing from orders, they fixed them quickly and were very kind about it. My second time visiting the culebra commons location was awful. I placed an online order for 9:30 AM but the ticket said the order was prepared at 9:00 AM. The result, not fresh donuts. All visible employees lacked a sense of urgency despite having a room full of people waiting. The coffee took close to 20 minutes to prepare and I was given a broken cup.

Duck donuts was mentioned in a Facebook group I am in. My husband and I decided to go after looking at the menu online. We are pleased we went. Watched everyone making the batter, hand dipping the different glazes, and topping all donuts made to order. Love the maple bacon and the peanut butter paradise that I tried this time. Cannot wait to explore more delicious donuts.

Donuts are good but service is beyond slow and rude. Us and another couple waited 20-30 mins for our drinks. Just inconvenient if you’re wanting donuts. But the lady that made our drink was super nice

I love a good donut and every was talking how good these are suppose to be. First off the wait is long. They were not busy. One couple was waiting for their order. I walked in to place my order, the young kid was super mine and got to order six. Then 4 other groups walked minutes after I ordered. Apparently my 6 were hard because the young lady making mine pushed them to the side. Two other dozens were made before mine. I know they had to cook them, but I ordered a long time before they others arrived. The cashier, the nice one, actually made mine. I got them walked to the car and was let me see what the fuss is about. They are very greasy and ok! Nothing special at all about them, unless you like wiping the toppings off the bottom. I was expecting a Voodoo Donut, but no where near as good. I was completely bummed. Moving to Texas there are a lot of great donut options and the standard is high. It was a complete let down. Thank god I have leather seats because the bottom of the box was a greasy mess.

Ordered online 30 mins ahead, picked it up & the box was nice and warm with fresh decentlyy flavorful donuts. Only thing, freshness faded soooooo fast. They were very dry and about half as tasty the next day. Eat em while theyre hot!

The donuts are always delicious, and the combinations of drizzles, dips & toppings is almost endless. Best option for the COVID shy is to order online & pick up. The inside of the restaurant is very small and with not much waiting room. You will wait for your donuts for at least a few minutes, since they are made just for you!

Fun gourmet donuts and seasonal specialties. The Maple Bacon donut is especially delicious. I miss when they did curbside delivery, early in COVID, but ordering ahead in the app is almost as good. If you want a special donut treat, or have visitors from out of town you want to impress, this is an especially good place to go.

Very friendly service and excellent donuts. They are a bit more expensive than standard donuts, but these are not standard donuts; they are special donuts. These are donuts made fresh to order. They have a wide variety of unique and delicious flavors to choose from.

Their donuts surprised us! We’ve done Voodoo donuts in Austin and in Portland, Oregon - and I have to say these are actually better. They may not have as large of a toppings/ingredients list, but their donuts taste better. We knew they had another location, but we never gave them a chance, thinking that all these donut shops that make custom made donuts were all the same. Well, we were wrong. When a much closer location popped up, we decided to finally try them out. I’m so glad we did, because even though we’ve got Dunkin’ Donuts, Krispy Kreme, Shipley’s, and other donut shops within a 5 mile radius - Duck Donuts is now our go-to donut shop!

Spent $20 on donuts and 2 cups of different coffee. Donuts were just decent, I had to remind them twice about my coffee order, they kept forgetting. Waited 30 minutes after I placed my order. There were a ton of employees and no one doing work. Really bad experience, and both coffees were absolutely disgusting and went into the trash. I won’t be back, ever.

The atmosphere of the location is muggy and oddly silent.The donuts are hot and made to order but that heat makes for unpresentable donuts as the icings and toppings slide/melt off. Additionally the donuts lacked structure and are very squishy. Im not sure if thats a recipe issue and/or cooking issue.Duck Donuts should do more to liven the atmosphere of this location and improve the quality of their products.Staff was clean and friendly.

My only complaint is that you cant order other menu items from the app (coffee, shakes) or pay with a gift card in the app. Other than that they are excellent

So the only reason I deducted one star is because 3/6 of my donuts ordered were wrong, and it seemed that they didn’t have enough people working to accommodate how much business they had. The were moving a bit slow. But, other than that the actual donuts blew me away. Soooo delicious!

Its nice to customize the donuts, but for the price they dont taste overwhelmingly delicious. The corporate website does not update as it still shows this location for curbside only. Printed coupons in paper and mail do not have codes to enter for online ordering. For our order, the location would not answer the phone. The panaderia down the street has better service, prices, and flavor.

Went to Ducks for the first time. I hate to write bad reviews but this place was disgusting. It just recently opened, so i was thinking it would be clean welcoming and friendly. It was by far the dirtiest donut shop I’ve been in. I asked how it all works and I find out the donuts are made to order. After looking at the place, the cooking area and even the gross order desk, my wife and I decided to walk out. It doesn’t take much to keep things clean and to have two employees not doing anything, no customers, the least they could do is wipe off the counters. I would not recommend this place at all.

Came here during Covid craziness (September 2020) - customer service was awesome as they have a variety of ways to order and be safe.The donuts were warm when we got them. They were FRESH!! And yummy! Definitely yummy ☺

FYI -- THEY DO NOT OPEN AT 7AM. Technically, they open their doors at 7AM, but they wont take orders until theyre set up -- which takes about 50 minutes. So, in reality, you cant place any orders until about 7:50 AM. WHY DO YOU OPEN AT 7AM WHEN YOU DONT TAKE ORDERS AT 7AM? Either keep the store closed until 8AM, or start setting up earlier so that people arent wasting their time driving to your store and then having to wait 50 minutes. Seriously, what the heck are you guys doing?Note: Their donuts are fantastic -- just their store hours are laughably stupid.

I placed an order online and added into my cart the option for curbside pick up as I have a new born and it was the most convenient way. I ordered the “spooky box” and a hot latte for 9 am. I got there and parked in the front at 8:50 am and called to let them know I was there. The gentleman who answered informed me they would start working on it now and I said thank you and we hung up. Then 30 minutes passed, several people received their order so I called back at 9:20 am and the female who answered asked me my name and car then said they don’t do curbside and I just need to come in and get it even though they had well beyond their max capacity inside and several people walking in without mask. I ran in to get my food and ice cold coffee and they were extremely unhelpful and unprofessional. Why have curbside as an option and it’s not? Then when I called the first time I was not told this? I will not be returning here.

WOW! An hour after ordering, just NOW got the milk shake....still waiting on the doughnuts....and remember, not alot 9f people in the store.....
