Ran to Art of Donut for a quick breakfast last weekend. We got one blackberry lime, one Mr. O, one lemon frosted flake, and one of their specials of chocolate, caramel, pretzel. The donuts themselves were cold which was disappointing, not even just cold like not hot but had a coldness like they were refrigerated coldness. Out of the four we are felt the lemon frosted flake was the best. I will agree with some other reviews that it does seem to be more about the art of the toppings then the actual donuts, but they were tasty and a fun start to the morning. Its certainly not your everyday donut, but also not a place I would run to unless it was a special occasion or treating myself.

I’m not a big donut lover, but I wanted to grab a donut today. I asked about a few donuts in the vitrine and they were out, then I asked about the donut in the vitrine that supports a local rescue and the cashier was very sweet and nice, however the taller lady that was preparing orders in the back had a bit of an attitude and said those sold out. Then the cashier asked her if I could order online and she seemed disturbed with the question.Anyways, 3 stars because the cashier was extremely sweet and nice, and the raspberry donut was pretty tasty. Also, I would’ve loved at least one napkin in my donut bag :)

Great selection of donuts made daily. Arrived somewhat near closing so the donuts weren’t as fresh as the would be in the morning, but still very good.Tried the Nutella with crumbles donuts and the French toast one. The French toast was very good, with some crunch cereal and bacon. A good mix of sweet and sour flavors with crunch texture. The Nutella donuts was just as you would expect, a fluffy chocolate donut with some crunchy toppings. Nothing crazy, but very good. Overall really liked the place!

I broke my keto diet for the brownie chocolate donut and the actual best americano. The service was friendly, knowledge, and the donut was so delicious that it left me wanting more. They have definitely figured out the Art Of the Donut!

This place is so cute! I pulled over when I saw it, about 12:30 on a Wednesday. They were almost sold out but I was still able to get a unicorn, lavender citrus, and Nutella donut. Service was quick and friendly; REALLY good quality donut. Like I would straight up just eat the donut without frosting. HECKIN good 10/10.

I live in the neighborhood and its a huge disappointment that the closest coffee/doughnut shop is so uninviting. They have nice employees, good coffee and great doughnuts. They refuse to open up in store seating and rush you outside after you order. They just need a drive in and no front door. Ill update my rating when they offer indoor seating. Be a good neighbor create a place to visit not just a stop for coffee and sugar.

Really tasty donuts. This place is our Saturday/Sunday stop at least once a week. A bit pricey compared to what I think other donuts cost, but completely worth it.

Don’t go here, their service was terrible! Friends and I ordered a few donuts about 15 minutes before they closed, then once the place closed they were rude and forced us outside, and about 30 minutes after we ordered and payed they told us our donuts were already made and given to us?? But in reality they must have given our donuts away to somebody else! They refused to make more and instead gave us refunds. I didn’t want my money back, I wanted my time back and my damn DONUT! 👎🏽

Honestly donuts are a hit or miss for me. One of those foods where I would rather just not have a donut than have a bad one. With that being said, I know this place is bomb because I could eat one of their donuts everyday (if my belt would let me lol).The shop is taking great COVID precautions which is awesome to see. Phenomenally roasted coffee beans. I can taste the richness of the grind and blended perfectly with the right mixture of milk, creamy goodness.I had an Old Fashioned Cake Donut. DELICIOUS. A perfect blend of dough and sweetness covered in Cinnamon goodness. It was a great balance. This was one of those melt in your mouth moments of one of the most original donuts.My partner tried the Chipmunk with Nutella and Ferrero Rocher. A tad rich for me, but perfect for those who love that nuttiness. The hazelnut flavors and rich decadent chocolate matched perfectly with the dough.We ordered a box of a dozen for our family. This place is spectacular. The ambiance is nice, the place clean. The donuts are unique and delicious, and if I’m not mistaken the store closes after they sell out for the day. There were a lot of donuts to chose from, including some vegan options. My party indulged in a matcha latte, a cold brew and both the blueberry and lucky charms donuts. Very delicious. 5 stars.

So I just came here yesterday, just before noon. To be honest, I didnt even know about this place from any friends/family, shows, or even websites; I just came across it when I was passing by the San Antonio area with my brother. The name just had been intriguing when seeing it so I knew we had to try it. Ended up grabbing one of their Sweet Pecan donuts with a cafe americano. The phrase for this combination, words dont do this justice is the best that I can come up with, because really words just dont do the taste Ive experienced with these two together. Came for the donuts, but also stayed for the coffee. The fact that I had no bias formulated for this and it was that good, what else do you want?? This is a must go to if you are passing by the San Antonio area! It is so worth it!!!

This is not your usual donut shop: if you want a bland and oily glazed donut, don’t come here! But if you want a great tasting, creative, and fun donut, then this is the place for you! It’s the perfect antidote to your ordinary coffee place; and yes, their coffee is good too! The first coffee I ever ordered without having to sweeten it up. I had the maple bacon donut and even the bacon was cooked to perfection. There’s even donuts with cereal as toppings! Staff was wonderful too. Bring your best friend, fellow artists, heck, bring anyone here and enjoy!

I never leave reviews for places, but our experience was so bad. i don’t understand how this place has gotten so many good reviews. me and my 2 sisters went here for breakfast yesterday around 11:30, and the customer service was just fine, i have no complaints with that. also the coffee was good. but all 3 of us thought the donuts were SUPER disappointing. the cereal on the cereal donuts were stale. the donuts were dry. and the worst part, the donuts had this terrible chemically taste, like rubber or plastic or ink or something. it was so bad that we couldn’t even eat them. the cake donuts on the other hand would have been fairly good, except they weren’t cooked all the way through, and were doughy on the inside. the donuts were just bad all round. i don’t know if we caught them on a bad day or what, but i don’t know how people can think these donuts are so great lol they were awful. and $45 for a dozen donuts and 2 coffees. such a waste. if you want a donut that tastes like chemical waste then this is your place. i’m so sorry the art of donut. rip

The donuts are dense and cold. Literally like a loaf of dense bread with icing that tastes like sweet ink. I gave them three stars for creativity but as far a taste...its hard no for me. I really wanted to love them😔

These donuts are HUGE. Couldn’t finish in one sitting.. which is good, because that means more for later! I love cake donuts and citrus, so definitely had to try the citrus cake donut. It was pretty tasty! I thought the donuts themselves were good (not too sweet, which I like) but icing/toppings were a bit too sweet. I’d still come back and check out a few other donuts when I’m craving one. If you love a sweet donut, this is the place for you!

Best donuts in San Antonio hands down! They have so many different flavors to choose from. Easy to place larger orders when needed. They also do custom donut orders for special occasions. Pricey, but worth it!Try the Nutella Latte, you wont be disappointed!

Pretty awesome and chill place. Delicious donuts and the drinks arent bad. Staff seem friendly and helpful. A bit pricey so not an everyday donut purchase. Maybe once in a while for a unique donut fix but better off elsewhere price-wise. First visit total was $15 for two donuts and a drink. Not sure if it was worth the price but definitely delicious donuts and an alright drink(mostly ice, not enough coffee, good concept but not so good execution)

It was good! I had the birthday cake donut which looked like a Simpsons donut and it was great! Also had a cold brew which was well brewed as well. The atmosphere is nice and welcoming! Would definitely go back sometime!

Saturday morning. So I was hoping for something that tasted fresh. I wouldn’t come back. The atmosphere was cool though.

I was in San Antonio for a quick anniversary trip and had to come here…ordered one breakfast sandwich and a donut ( which they made special for me because I wanted a plain Nutella one ). I mentioned we were here from Austin and wished they had a location closer to us! Asked about a specific donut, PB&J, but didn’t want to buy one since I knew my husband wouldn’t help me eat it. When they brought the order to our car and opened the box, they had given me 2 of the my fave Nutella donuts AND the PB&J one I had inquired about!!! I couldn’t believe it, that is what real customer service is about. Knowing we weren’t from around that area and sending us with a couple extra donuts for the road. If the amazing food isn’t enough to make you go there, then the outstanding staff is!! Thank y’all for making my whole weekend with that small kind gesture.

My coworkers and I were on a scavenger hunt that brought us to this place and were SO pleased with our experience! These donuts were sooo yummy! Staff was friendly and they had a ton of options for donuts! We will definitely return when we make it back to San Antonio and will highly recommend to others. P.S. they have the BEST jelly donut I have EVER had!! We also had the s’mores and bacon donuts and they were DELICIOUS!

Meh. All 3 were just fine but nothing special. The maple bacon was a total disappointment. Not the slightest hint of maple flavor at all. The icing tasted like straight powdered sugar and water. And smaller pieces of bacon would have been better instead of only getting 4 bites with bacon.

Came here for the first time to pick up some donuts before a road trip and wow let me tell you these donuts taste soooo good!I forgot to take pics because all I wanted to do was eat the next one. We ordered 6: cinnamon sugar, peanut butter puff, blueberry, 2 birthday cakes (fav), and a chocolate glaze. We arrived sort of late so the lady behind the counter helped us decide what to try with what they had left available. Damn good donuts and a nice laid back vibe. They have some Voodoo Donut-ish options which are really fun. I had the Leprechaun Charms (awesome) and the Brownie (great and super rich!). Wife had a Rainbow Fest and enjoyed it very much as well. Everything was super fresh and tastey. Keep up the good work AoD, youre doing great things!

After 2 years of living here in SA, I was finally able to visit this establishment. Anytime there is the phrase The Art of..., I look at it as a personal challenge to see if the name and the product match and let me tell you that they dont disappoint. From the moment you walk in, you can tell that time and effort was put into the decor to give you a hint that they are looking to stand out. Now, Im not a classic donut and coffee everyday type person but when I do want one, Dunkin is not the place Im looking for. I have to tell you that these are probably the top 1 or 2 best tasting donuts Ive ever eaten. Again, the key being taste, you actually taste the ingredients, they are not just full of sugar to mask the lack of quality. I had the German Chocolate donut and you could tell as soon as you took the first bite that the chocolate was definitely good quality and then the topping was as they say, the icing on the cake. Not your typical franchise donuts at all and to top it off, they are huge, so dont go there thinking your paying franchise prices but its well worth it. Dont leave without a great cup of coffee too, my preference is iced and it didnt disappoint either. Thanks for a great donut that actually ended up being my lunch because there was no room left in my stomach. LOLCurtis

I had this on my list to visit for at least a year! I had a 16th bday at the end of snovid and so what better time that to try this out! Had a great pandemic procedure so felt very safe! I hadn’t had enough forethought to preorder so I called Saturday as soon as they opened and git super lucky they had enough extra donuts to get a Happy Bday (it is normally a 24 hour advance for special orders)! Since I hadn’t ever had them I said just give me an assortment of flavors. I’m generally such a plain topping type so I really didn’t think too much of them. When I got home I decided to taste what I assume a raspberry! Literally this was the best donut I have tasted!! Wasn’t overly coma sweet and the flavors are so delicious! I will be using this place for special occasions for sure! It was. Bit pricey but worth it!

This is definitely a place where they take their creativity to a whole new level. The texture of the donut is soft and fluffy but very filling in every bite. The sweet pig gets you with two hit combo, first with the sweetness then as you bite into it you can taste the crunchy saltiness of the bacon that just makes your mouth water for more.

Rainbow fest🌈 has always been my favorite here, it’s delicious & the only donut I will “waste” the calories on 🤤 however all the other donuts I have tried there are also AMAZING! My opinion, best donuts in San Antonio. Note: To all my vegans out there, they only do vegan donuts on Saturday. Haven’t gotten a chance to try one but when I do I will report back! 🍩💕

Cute little shop with great decorations. Everything goes perfectly with the hipster vibe it gives off. Theres not much seating indoors but the turnover is quick. The donuts are very dense and thick with the gooeyist of gooey icing. My son had the blueberry while I had the piggy. The icing on the blueberry was FAN-TABU-LOUS! It was the absolute taste of blueberry. My piggy was good but the bacon was a bit burnt. Well probably not return since we prefer an airy/ lighter donut. I also had an iced coffee. Not great but drinkable.

I’m not really the “Karen type” as a matter of fact I’ve never even done a google review before....we are staying in San Antonio and I got up looking for “specialty donuts” as a surprise for my 10 year old daughter. When we got there I read the sign that said “no more than 4 people” I have no issue with that except you couldn’t see inside to see how many people were inside and there was no line outside. so I opened the door to look. I was met with an abrupt “WAIT OUTSIDE” it was chilly and windy we waited for about 3 minutes and watched 2 people leave so I just assume 2 can go in right? So I opened the door. The woman at the front screamed something that I couldn’t understand because of the wind. So I looked at her for a moment she then SCREAMED” CLOSE THE DOOR”We closed the door and left. I have no idea If the food is good or not. Duck donuts is good if you’re looking for specialty donuts and friendly staff.

So, I really like donuts. And this spot in San Antonio came highly recommended, and I was told to show up as soon as they opened cause they sell out of donuts pretty fast and thats it for the day. These donuts are the size of my open hand, at least twice the size of any normal chain donut. Theres almost too many choices to pick from, all over the scale on levels of sweetness, toppings, and even fillings like cheese and bacon.i ended up getting a Chipmunk, a yeast donut frosted in Nutella with crushed ferrero rocher on top, and a Bavarian cream that had an excellent chocolate frosting that wasnt overly sweet and contrasted with the hard to contain filling nicely. My cold brew was refreshing as well. Im probably gonna go back a couple times while in town.

This is my favorite place to take my granddaughter when I get to see her. She loves getting to pick out one of these gigantic Donuts. They are tasty and good and they keep coming up with new combinations. One of these Donuts is like eating three regular Donuts. They are fun for the kids and fun for us adults to. You must try them out if you have not already I gave this umpteen thousand stars because the donuts are so good and the coffee is so good

Picture this! Scared, grown man walks into a donut shop to get donuts for his wife. Said man is not a fan of sweets and thus has no idea what to get. After roughly 10 minutes of very patiently helping said man, the staff helps him pick two, offers a 20% military discount, and gives him two extra to help his wife make a decision!Morale of this review, great and helpful staff, super friendly and apparently great donuts according to my wife. Im also a terrible donut shopper, but they helped me through it. If you like donuts you should definitely check this place out!

Super Duper Amazing Donuts! Throughout impressed by the variety of Gourmet, Thick, Delicious, and Filling donuts. They do not have Keto friendly donuts 😅 My wife loves Chai Tea Latte at Starbucks but today she got it here and it is far more Superior with flavor. You can still customize it along with all the other drinks there. My Wife got the Pumpkin Cream Cheese center donut and the flavor was awesome! I decided to try the Maple and Bacon Donut and ohh my! It was great but got half way and felt like I was going to go into a comma because it was Soo great haha Customer Service was on point, Even during COVID-19! Very friendly, polite and cheerful! Loved the experience overall!

This is really a nice place to have a cup of coffee and eat some delicious donut. I loved the atmosphere. Must try but go early as by the time we went, it was just before closing time so most of the donuts were unavailable.

I had pre-ordered a Valentine’s theme donut box ahead of time ( which is only available by pre-order) and my pick-up happened to coincide with the winter storm.The roads were icy and I was not going to be able to pick up my order so I called ahead of time to ask for a refund and they were like “we’re open, you can still come in”.So yeah I paid $20 for an order I never got!If this were any other day than a WINTER STORM advisory I would’ve made the drive.Seriously, where is the customer service? Or at least some compassion. This was not a custom order, they could’ve easily refunded me but chose not to. Because I would not risk my life on the icy roads for a freaking donut?It’s appalling. Save your money and go anywhere else but here.

As my son says it is a good donut from art of the donut. This is our special donut place whenever we want a really good treat. We always get the Mr O and then whatever else looks amazing.

Service is always great. Now i use curbside, still a smile and a cheery voice behind the mask. The maple bacon donut. The smores donut. You can get one if their standard donuts and it will be just as great but at a lower price. I personally like to splurge on paydays and try one if the specialty donuts yyuumm

Donuts are excellent! I wish they were fresh out of the fryer but no real complaints here. My friend and I both really enjoyed our drinks and atmosphere.

Their doughnuts are pretty and the cake doughnuts are delicious but the ones with cereal toppings I would stay away from. The toppings taste stale. The coffee wasnt great either which was a bummer because I love coffee with my doughnuts. I also dont like that they dont warm.the doughnuts pr.at least I didnt notice it being offered.

The Art of Donut is a great alternative to your ol run of the mill donut shop. Here you get to choose from unique and decadent donuts that are sure to please that sweet tooth. I have tried many of their popular donuts and my only wish, is that maybe some donuts could have the option to be warmed up before serving?? Other than that, The Art of Donut is sure to please!

This is a really cool place with a great selection. The staff was really knowledgeable and friendly as well. The donut toppings were amazing, but both of our donuts had an overwhelming taste of frying oil. Hoping this was just an off batch, because we’d definitely like to try them again!

Found this place by complete chance on the way to the park. Absolutely pleased that we keep our heads up when in new places. There was no way we could pass up a place billing itself as a “crafted dough lab.”I was not disappointed by what I saw on display and was blown away by the deliciousness of the doughnuts. Truly top notch. We satisfied ourselves with the piña colada, lavender citrus, sweet pig, pecan, and cinnamon sugar.All were wonderful, but the piña colada and lavender citrus truly stood out. It was a lovely way to treat ourselves.

We had been waiting to visit for a long time. Finally made it in today and it was a really bad vibe. Not sure if the girls were tired because it was 20 minutes before closing but we weren’t even greeted. The donuts were good but not sure I would go out of my way to visit again. We had the s’mores donut and the Nutella Ferraro donut.

I ordered an Iced Nutella Latte and Regular Latte, the Nutella Latte was delicious!! The donuts were different and tasted great too! Highly recommend to try it out.
