My girlfriend and I buying our first MTB bikes! We got beautiful 2022 Trek Marlin 6s! So happy we got our hands on these bikes and Jason made the process a breeze. He was so friendly and knowledgeable. Lee from the store even helped us install the kick stands and even helped us load up our bikes onto our trunk rack!

Unfortunately I had a bad experience with this neighborhood shop. I went in for a tire and tube replacement and they gave me the wrong one finding out after I got home. So I went back and instead of apologizing the first thing was they shouted at me if I had a mask, than made me wait outside because they had 5 people in the store(and 2 were employees). No apology the entire time.

Easy to work with. My bike came back as new.

They prioritize my wife’s repair for her bike and we’re very professional and nice about it. Really good experience! Thanks!

Im a frequent visitor to San Clemente but never had the chance to go into Jax until this week... I traveled with 2 portable bicycles this trip for family to use and realized when we were there that the tires were flat and both needed adjustments to the gear selection hardware. Not only did Jason and the crew take me on the spot they serviced the bikes while I waited - dropped everything and gave me super valuable information towards the purchase of a new bike( I was asking many many questions while I waited ) they seemed so eager to answer all of them without a hint of seeming too busy to help.AND trust me ...that place had so much inventory on the floor that needed to be put away(also a good sign!) but I was treated as the most important person there. Reason why Im writing this in length is because, when I purchase new bikes...they will be from here and taken home to AZ. Thanks again to a great group that help make our trip a success!

Great team and service! Besides great retail, they took charge of packaging and shipping a high end bike for us from San Clemente up to Toronto, Ontario that arrived today on time and perfectly packed. Great team!

We were looking for very specific e-bikes on an RV trip to San Diego. The Jax San Clemente store had what we wanted in stock. They went above and beyond when I called 3 minutes before closing time. They answered allMy questions, checked inventory, and took my order. When I went to pickup our bikes, the Jax team took the time to explain everything to me, answered all my questions, put a bike rack together for me and loaded our new bikes on my Jeep. They were short staffed that day but it did not alter their quality of service. I would highly recommend them if the market for a new bike. They also have an amazing selection of e-bikes.

Lee Daigle at Jax Bicycles in San Clemente provided incredible service. I was searching for an entry level mountain bike with great components. I found the Trek Marlin 8 online but out of stock at most stores. When I contacted Jax Bicycles in San Clemente, Lee answered all my questions, located the Marlin 8, took a small refundable deposit at the end of April and by the end of June I received a call from Lee informing me my beautiful Marlin was ready. Woohoo! I test rode it and now am enjoying off-roading adventures. Thanks Lee and Jason! You’re the best!

I wouldnt bring my bike anywhere else. Even when there is a lead time. The staff is friendly and super informative on not just gear information and recommendations, but trail recommendations and general biking knowledge. They are always going above and beyond every time I bring my bike in for service or need a new part, and they genuinely do a fantastic job. If you live in San Clemente or in OC and dont have a bike shop close, this is a place you can really trust!

Went in to see if they had baskets for the racks on our new e-bikes. They didnt have what we wanted in stock so the manager took time to show us products he could order for us. He ordered 2 new units for us that will be delivered this week. Very friendly service and lots of great products and bikes to choose from in the store. This store has also serviced my mountain bike and did a great job. Their technicians are top notch.

I had just purchased a used full featured MTB with hydraulic disc brakes. They were troublesome and not functioning properly. Went to Jax knowing they were full service—Danny (repair tech) immediately zeroed in on what he thought it was. 15 minutes later I had new Shimano pads and adjusted levers. They just made my day! Thanks to Jason and Danny for taking care of me on short notice. I now have a favorite bike shop for all my cycling needs!

My wife and I visited Jax Bicycle Center - San Clemente to simply purchase a bell for one of our bikes. Safe distancing was observed along with all the precautions other shops are taking now due to the pandemic. Jason; the General Manager, met us at the door when it was our turn to enter the shop. He provides us an overview of where everything was located. As my wife shopped for the bell; I asked Jason a plethora of questions regarding e-bikes. He took the time to provide me a thorough explanation of the e-bikes; assessed my needs for an e-bike and gave me several recommendations of bikes Jax handles. He even confirmed via their computer database, the exact bike meeting all my needs. Taking the time to assess a customers needs/wants when the store was limiting the number of customers they would allow into the store was extremely generous. When time to purchase my e-bike; I will definitely purchase it from Jason and Jax in San Clemente.

Jax has been a local shop in SC for as long as I can remember, and has always taken great care of our repair needs (regardless of bike brand) over the years. In many cases, they fixed minor things while we waited. And their pricing is very fair.

Jason, Dan and the rest of the Jax team in San Clemente always provide timely, insightful and reliable service for my standard mountain bike to my high end road bikes. If there is ever an issue or some difficult part to get, they research and contact the manufacturer to get it done. Glad to have Jax in San Clemente!

Was out biking on a beautiful day and made a spontaneous stop at Jax in San Clemente to see if they might have a replacement part, which they absolutely did. New grips for my cherished bicycle. While I was waiting for a quick install on those, I picked out a new Electra bell, which I also had the tech put on my handlebars. Terrific service and a nice selection of competitively priced items. 5-stars all around!

We were looking for a BMX bike for weeks for our grandsons birthday and finding none! But Jax happened to have what we needed in the back and actually built it quickly for us in one day during covid and had it ready in time for us to have for the birthday! The staff member came out to my car to help me with a jogging stroller that had a popped tire. This meant a lot because I had my baby in tow. He was quick about the service, and then helped me back out to my car with the stroller and loaded it up for me. I appreciate excellent service like that!

On vacation in California and get rear ended on freeway totaling my bike rack and damaging my two bikes. Rush to Jax a half hour before closing on Thanksgiving eve. They drop everything, fix the two bikes so I can enjoy them over the Thanksgiving holiday and get me set up with a new and much better bike rack. These guys rock.

Terrible customer service. Cancelled order and no explanation. Recommend avoiding and checking out another local bike shop. Yes, we all know its a crazy time and busy, but thats not an excuse to have poor communication and no customer support. Get over yourself as a family company and actually act like it while servicing every single customer like its your last.

I waited for 45 minutes outside with five others. Only one person was allowed inn. Nobody was outside to help. Then the Jaxx guy came out and asked if anyone had a repair appointment. But when I tried to call earlier nobody ever answered the phone. Then we were told there will be a minimum 3 weeks before they could repair any bike. When I asked the guy why didnt he just tell us that 45 minutes ago he just stared at me. No apology. This is the last time I ever go there. I then took my bike down the street to that place on el camino real in South san clemente. They had curbside service. I really miss the former owner. He had a heart.

During the past year we’ve purchased 2 bikes at Jax. Both experiences were excellent! The staff answered our many questions, giving us very helpful advise to help us find the right bikes for our needs.

Great guys who are really interested in the sport and helping those new to it feel comfortable as they learn. Bought an Emonda after a bunch of visits, asking a lot of questions, and doing my own research. Got a great price and a lot of help since. They certainly had cause to become impatient with me, but they were always courteous while I took my time.Not sure what the deal is with bad reviews, but anytime I find a plug for a rival shop in an anonymous review I think troll! Never seen anybody leave without a smile on their face while Ive been there.

Im biking cross country, started in LA to San Diego first. My rear tire was in bad shape, it was recommended I replace it. Took it in and the friendly mechanic dropped what he was doing to give me on the spot service. On top of being an amazing conversationalist, he fixed my bike up and while giving me options the whole way. I hope to pass by here again someday, if only to stop in and say hello!

My chain broke on my way to the beach and these guys got me going in 20 minutes. The guys that work in this place are super knowledgeable and can pretty much fix anything on your bike and they make good recommendations so you can figure out what’s right for you.
