I knew exactly what I was getting when taking my car to him. I had a key mark that ran all along side one side of my car. Looking at it Larry said I can get out most of it but this one section may be a little too deep. When my car came out he was able to get 97% of the scratch out and only left me with a little bit that was buffed and shined and to the average person you couldnt even see unless you knew was there. Absolutely outstanding. After getting rear-ended on the I-5, I found Larry on Yelp. The reviews were positive, but I could never have anticipated the level of professionalism and expertise he had to offer.Not only did Larry go to bat against the insurance company to make sure that my repair was perfect and completed with top-of-the-line parts, he hounded them to make sure it was timely as well. On the parts the insurance company disputed, he dipped into his own profits so that I wouldn’t have to deal with aftermarket or second-hand parts. Best auto body repair in San Diego. I went to get a white for my damaged bumper from at least 10 shops and Larry’s had the best quote and quickest time. Everyone else told me 3-5 days it would be done and dent and scratch Point Loma got it done in 4 hours! Larry is a super nice guy and very accommodating. I would recommend taking your car here any day over anyone else in the city!

Miracle worker!! Had a fender bender that damaged my bumper, fender and passenger door. My car was not covered by insurance. One of the best customer service experiences I have ever had. I contacted Larry via email and he was able to give me a quote on two major scratches on my door side. I told him Id be in touch. I sent an email a few days later inquiring about the detailing services as well. I then decided Id bring in my car and have the work done. What he quoted was what I paid. No bait and switching nothing. He also did a walk around my vehicle and pointed out some other stuff I could have done at a later time and gave me a quote/estimate for it unfortunately it was not financially possible at this time but he did say he would honor the estimate if I come back at the beginning of next year. Which I plan to do. Picking up the car was just as easy and I was very happy with the end result. I honestly never would have been able to tell that there were scratches on my door if I didnt know better. I will definitely be back to have that other work done and recommend everyone to go here. If I could give more than 5 stars. I would.

Excellent work! Quote on Monday, in on Friday, out same day! Less expensive than the mobile companies, plus did an excellent job on finish, color matching and restoring a scratched messed up black bumper that the others told me they couldn’t guarantee! Staff is terrific, waiting area clean and comfortable, but only spent minutes there before I was helped! I’m not a review writer, but this place merits recognition for their excellent work, service, timeliness and really fair price. Hope I don’t need them again, but if I do this will be my go to. I started emailing this shop when I had a scratch emergency, they responded almost immediately and gave me real information I could understand about the work I needed done. I came in without an appointment, was given a quote, and then they immediately started working on the vehicle. I was told the appointment would take an hour, but they were completely done in under 30 minutes. I couldnt tell where the scratches were once I looked at it. I was shocked at the job they had done. The employees were friendly, they were quick and accurate with the quote, and they charged what they said they would charge. Overall, a good experience for a nerve wracking problem. I would definitely use this shop again if needed. The owner Larry was friendly and easy to talk to and was happy to answer all of my questions. This is a clean smaller shop which doesnt specialize in the larger major collision repairs but rather the smaller repairs such as dented and scratched bumpers and fenders, etc. Since I have a late model BMW which is in pristine condition other than the one small dent which was in the rear bumper, I felt that this was the right type of shop for a more personal interaction and quick turnaround for achieving the desired results of having a new looking bumper again. It turns out I was right on all of those accounts. The cost was very reasonable especially considering they were able to start work on my car later that same day and had it completed the following afternoon with beautiful results. I had a scratch on my newer truck that wasn’t worth going through my insurance. I gave Larry a call. He got me in to the shop in Point Loma the next morning at 7:30am. I asked for an estimated pick up time. He said 2:00pm and I received a call before 1:45pm. The work looks great, it’s reasonably priced and guaranteed. I would recommend.

I had some paint less dent removal done here for a door ding on my 2019 GTI. It was done perfectly and you can even tell there was any damage. I can’t speak to their normal body work but I definitely recommend them for paint less dent removal 👍🏼

Great customer service and very honest. They told me the recommended service to my truck damage and it was the cheaper route and it came out amazing! I walked in and they got my truck done in an hour and it looks amazing. I highly recommend them!

My Truck needed a full paint job, living by the beach the whole hood and roof were oxidized and the top coat long gone. I had to do something really soon because I was worried it might start to eat through, so I got on my laptop and did some searching. Scratch and Dent was close by and had some excellent reviews, so drove over and talked to Larry the owner. He gave me an excellent price on a full paint job, with a lifetime warranty and the top of the line paint, it was a no brainer! So I made an appointment to get it done. Larry has a top notch crew, they took the truck bed, tailgate, and the hood off, so they can get to the wrap around corners that are important to get because pealing around edges could occur. Larry called me to say my truck is ready and when I got there I couldnt believe my eyes, it totally looked like it just came off the assembly line, actually I think it looks better than factory work! If anyone is thinking of getting their vehicle painted, dont bother looking anywhere else Scratch and Dent is number one! Thanks so much Larry! Now, I have to park at the far end of the parking lots to keep away from other car doors hitting my truck.

Long story short, Larry Michlewicz - Co-Owner was DISHONEST and is UNTRUSTWORTHY. Beware of up charges. My estimate had changed by three times as many hours without any explanation.Heres what happened: I took my girlfriends car in for an estimate on the front left fender and rear quarter panel. Two separate estimates. I called Larry back a couple months later inquiring about taking the vehicle in for the repairs, letting him know I no longer had the estimates he gave me. He told me the estimates were still on file and to bring the vehicle in. Before receiving anything from him, I wanted to get an estimate for minor scratch to the front bumper. He gave me a new estimate covering all three repairs and it was a bit more than I remembered, but my girlfriend was persistent about me taking the car in and was unable to be reached at the time. I agreed to the price and sent it over to my girlfriend. As soon as I was home, my girlfriend had gotten a hold of me to tell me that the price was drastically different and to get the car back. So I called him up and requested to come get the car. Mind you, this was towards the end of the work day. Even though their garages were full, he told me they had already taken off the bumper and had to put it back on, so they charged me an hour of labor. I found the old estimate a couple days later and discovered that he had added 15 hours of labor between the front fender and rear quarter panel without telling me. When I confronted Larry, I had asked him why he added to the original estimate to which he said he didnt have the original estimate in the first place for the rear quarter panel, despite what he told me before I took the vehicle in. If the estimates were close, I would understand if there were differences, but the second estimate wasnt even in the same ball park. He added 14 hours of labor to the rear quarter panel, nearly three times as much as the original estimate and one hour on the front fender. After inquiring about the differences in labor cost, Larry offered no explanation, and blamed me for not having the original estimate at the time. Its clear to me now that he was taking advantage of the situation, attempting to add labor costs where I wouldnt look and he thought I had nothing to compare it to. Never did he tell me that he miscalculated the hours the first time or anything, even after I confronted him.I wouldnt take my car there even if it was free. DO NOT TRUST them with your car.

Was very lucky to find this gem while on vacation. Larry took me right in, gave a real fair estimate on the dent in my rear bumper, and got it finished within an hour. The best experience I ever had at a repair shop. You wont be disappointed going here.

I reached out for a quote for scratches and dents on my bumper and was able to send in detailed photos and receive a quote over text message. I took my car in two days later, Larry looked it over and let me know it would be done within a few days. As all scratch repair places, they overcharge. I found out what they were charging $80 would cost me $30 to do by myself. And what they were charging me $350 would cost me $150 to do by myself. But otherwise, they seem professional and honest. I mean if youre too lazy to fix your own scratches and dents, this place seems like a good place to go.
