Staff was extremely rude and unprofessional from the moment I walked in. While they were inspecting my vehicle for the quote, someone else was bringing their vehicle back because something was wrong with the work MAACO had done. Not a good sign. After more rude dialog I received the quote. Despite them recommending I not paint the whole vehicle, the quote was somehow MUCH higher than the top end of the quote I received from the website for painting the entire car. They also did not have me down for an appointment or any of my info from the website. I also inquired about the 30% off paint sale on the website and the guy laughed and said they have nothing to do with the website. What is it for then? I highly recommend you avoid this business at all costs.

Prompt courteous estimate done on a walk-in basis. No scheduling issues, they said bring it in anytime (re-paint while car and take out dings). They turned it around in 4 days which was surprisingly fast. The paint job greatly exceeded my expectations. It looks really nice! Since they don’t take the car apart like the collusion centers that charge $10,000 or so (I checked) I expected some imperfections or missed areas at the seams and edges but you really can’t tell they didn’t take it apart. My finished cost for the middle grade of the 3 options they offer was $1900 and included removing several small dents and scratches. Another “discount” painting company wanted $1400 just to paint one side of the car (bad sun damage) without any dent removal and told me they couldn’t paint the window frames. Maaco did the window frames and the whole car and the dent and scratch repairs for not much more. They were very honest with me about how long I could expect each of their 3 grades of finish to hold up — for example saying that even with a 4-year warranty I would see some fading sooner than 4 years if I left the car out in the sun or if I didn’t wax it regularly. They were also upfront about saying only their must expensive option was going to make it look dealership new. I was so happy, I’m bringing a second car in. I had prepared myself for a cheap looking paint job that would be “good enough” but I was very pleasantly surprised. My only negative comment is that the 3 price points they have displayed on their wall is a little misleading. It includes only “the liquids” (meaning paint and sealers) so at first you are only going to spend a few hundred dollars. But that price does not include prep work and labor — and even their separately posted prep fees do not cover everything else that needs to be done. If they had just posted, say, $1600 out the door (not including the dent work), I would have said yes and felt fine about it. The way corporate makes them post the various price levels can make it feel a little like bait and switch. But as long as you know the posted price is not the complete price when you first go in, you’ll feel better about it. Overall, I definitely recommend for a used car you want to look a lot better without paying an arm and a leg. And if you want that dealership look — they do have the “base coat” option that was way below half of what anyone else quoted me. Definitely recommend.

Due to a previous (bad) paint job, the clear coat on top was literally cracking into little pieces & there were parts of my car actually rusting (no paint). These guys are legit & super quick. Maaco helped me with my back bumper at a very affordable price. My situation was unique since I did not have the molding for the bumper to stick to, however, the workers were able to successfully paint and install the bumper like it just came out the factory. It only took a few days too! I was very impressed and will come back here in the future if I need too. If you are looking for quality and affordability, look no further than Maaco’s. They will provide excellent customer service and leave you a beyond-satisfied customer.

We had a great experience with our local MAACO. They were courteous and patient in explaining their processes. I was referred there by Carvanas warranty service because acid had leaked on to the roof of our new vehicle. They walked around the truck, took pictures of the roof and a small area on the front bumper. The dealt directly with the warranty company and turned around the authorization within 24 hrs. We dropped our vehicle off at closing on 1/2 and got a call on 1/4 that our vehicle was ready! It looked great and I am a very happy camper.I will use them again and highly recommend them.

I dont normally write reviews on anything, but after getting my car painted here I just had to write one. The car I came here with had clear coat coming off around the car and mismatched paint on a rough roof. I got the base and clear coat package so the price was a lot more than the other options they have, but I have to say it was worth it. The is 18 years old and coming out of here made it looked like it was fresh off the dealership and the paint is very close to the original. I was a bit nervous about getting it painted at a macco after hearing some bad stories online but this one isnt one of them.

Had a great experience. Even though there is a run in one section of my car (that will be fixed),I am happy with Al and the service provided to us. He spent time showing us what to use to bring back some of the luster in my faded vinyl moldings. Hes very friendly and has a great sense of humor. We would definitely get another vehicle painted their.

This was by far the worst experience I have ever had. These people never called us back, never needed up doing the work because they took so long to get back to us. When I called they were rude over the phone, didn’t return my calls when they were out to lunch, when I did bring my car in to do something, they forgot I came in to do it and then used it as an excuse as to why they haven’t done their part. Their customer service is horrible and they are disrespectful to customers. They called us a month after we got the work done somewhere else to see if we were ready. I would never recommend this location to my worst enemy. They are horrible

I brought my vintage VW Beetle to this Maaco shop and received a fair estimate for complete repainting including stripping off the old paint, Priming and finishing. Because of the effort of replacing gaskets, running boards, etc. there was a good deal of extra labor involved in the job. I received the beautifully repainted car back in early March. The final price was precisely what was estimated up front. I am very happy with the quality of the work

Maaco did an outstanding job on my Rav 4. It had damage on 3 areas, and they were more reasonable than 2 other shops nearby and the mobile repair guy we were considering! Superior paint job on my 1964 Mercury. Car came in after sitting in the desert for decades. Looks like it rolled of the showroom floor today. Great paint jobs for the price

Our 03 Tacoma was swiped on the freeway, so we brought it to Maaco to fix the paint. Jose was very helpful in getting the problem pinpointed, he even gave us a deal on fixing the dent that was left behind. He was very professional and Bill was a treat to interact with. There was a couple of bumps in the road, but overall the price was good and the people definitely care when it comes to customer satisfaction.

I have a receipt that says I have a lifetime warranty on peeling paint and Ruben the manager won’t honor it because he says it’s new owners of the maaco and that I can get a reduced rate. That’s not right. Shame on maaco I will tell everyone what a shady company it is.

This maaco is outstanding. Front desk guy, David, worked with my budget and gave me a good deal. I brought my car in on a Wednesday afternoon, and picked up my car on a Friday afternoon, THAT SAME WEEK. Fast turn around and the paint job was great. No runs, and no over spray. It did have some orange peel, but that was to be expected for the price I paid. Overall, it exceeded my expectations. Willing to recommend and return for sure!

I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. You gonna end up paying again to get your car fixed somewhere else. I took my car there after the accident they told me will be ready In 5 days which didn’t happened and it okay if my car was completely fixed. I got my car after 10 day and I had to go at the dealership to have my car fixed for a diagnostic . And at the dealership they find out that the radiator is bending and touching the fan now I have to pay again which means more labor and time and wait for my car to get fixed.

Better late than never... these guys are great. Brought my company car in for a simple collision repair and ended up needing a fix on my personal car around the same time. Thank you for being honest and taking care of me/my car!

At maaco you get what you pay for and still also get a better deal than most other shops. I brought in my 07 Silverado to get fully repainted after I replaced a door and repaired a few spots. I wasnt expecting a showroom paint job but wanted my truck to look new again and the paint to last. I went with the premium 2 stage base/clear package. Got my truck back in about a week and it looked great! I found one very small spot I didnt like and brought it back, they are now fixing the spot at no extra fee. Al has helped me out through the whole process and has provided great customer service.

Want to give a shout out to Maaco collision repair & Auto painting. I took my sprinter van in because of severe rust all around my windshield. By the time they took the glass out and wire brush the rust way there were holes everywhere. They put rust inhibitor on and instead of setting in screen patches and throwing Bondo on top they welded in metal all around the window frame. They match my paint color and feathered it into my factory paint color perfectly, after they reinstalled the windshield it looks as if it just rolled off the factory assembly line. Al the manager and his team are true Craftsman, sculpturist, and artist they take pride in their work and do not participate in shortcuts.

I got a paint job for my truck and saw orange peel on driver door but the guy told me it’ll go away after the paint dries. 6 weeks later and the paint is still there. Plus it chipped and it’s suppose to be under warranty and they still haven’t made and effort to fix. Seems like the warranty is useless.

Alex at Macco on Kearny Villa road gave my daughters beat up 2005 Honda Civic an amazing makeover! I did extensive research and after settling on the 500-1200 price range I felt this Macco location would give the best value given our limited budget. I’m pleased to say that Alexes shop far exceeded our expectations! I opted for the one step urethane plus clear. A step up from enamel and worth it! The paint looks amazing. At first Alex may seem abrupt but he’s just honest and realistic. If you’re looking for a slick salesman try another shop. Every job may not be as perfect as ours but I have a feeling most are. There was no overspray, orange peel or dust. The color matched the original and the paint was smooth and polished. Alex is dedicated to quality, he even gave my family a tour of the shop! Thanks Alex!

I gave them a pathetic looking dark blue painted convertible Sebring and they turned it into a beautiful metallic silver blue car. I cant say enough on how well they did. They do exactly as you ask, nothing more-nothing less. Not over priced either. Thank you Al !

They Simply Aren’t Capable of Doing a Lasting JobI asked them for a paint job quote that would last for years to come, and to pay particular attention to the hood as the original paint had peeled off down to the bare metal.Two months after I got my truck back, sheets of paint started peeling off the hood. I asked them to do the hood correctly this time (strip it down and properly prepare the surface).A year later pieces of paint the size of business cards started peeling off the hood. During this time my truck also started showing significant signs of sun fade.Now most of the truck looks as if it was painted only with a dull blue primer.In addition, pieces of trim that they removed and put back on during the painting process have been falling off along the freeway.Unless you are ONLY looking for making your vehicle pretty for a quick sale, I suggest going somewhere else and getting a paint job that will last !!!

I had my 98 Tacoma painted, color change from green to grey, Maaco did a great job, fixed all the dings and scratches, it looks like a new truck.

Long and sad, but hopefully insightful story. I had them paint my beloved 2006 VW Passat and install new headlamp covers. I know, it sounds crazy, but it is one of the best cars I have ever driven so I wanted to fix it up and keep it as a spare. I am very sorry I had entrusted my car to them now.I always want to give a company 5 stars. Unfortunately I would not recommend these guys at all. There customer service was very poor and they were dishonest. The paint was decent but there were many areas of sloppy work. Additionally they did not do much at all to clean up the car and when I picked it up it was terribly filthy. To make matters worse, I am 99.9% confident that they damaged my vehicles power steering costing me a couple thousand to fix. Of course they denied it. Their customer service in the end was not good at all as you will read below. I had originally worked with Ken for a quote. I found him to be nice and professional. I had asked him how much it would be to install new headlamp assemblies. He told me that the headlights were very expensive and suggested I buy them and they would do the installation. I ended up agreeing to a $2,000 paint job.The paint came out decent but there are many areas where it was very sloppy. The painted over my license plate lights with many areas where the paint was rough and unfinished on the door handles, the sides of the mirrors and other hard to reach places. I have no idea how they did this, but they also got over spray on the black plastic trim along the bottom of the car. There are large gaps where the headlights dont line up correctly with the bumper and grill, etc. The grill sticks out a 1/4 inch too far on one side of the car. I tried to remove some screws for the front end to re-align the grill and discovered they had drilled new holes to force it together. Shame.The car was filthy when I went to pick it up and I was very disappointed. It was dirty inside with a fine white powder all over the interior and carpet. There was excess wax or compound left in patches all over the car. A very tough to remove sticky residue left along areas where they had masked off the car. They had sloppily wiped shiny black greasy stuff all over my black plastic trim, missing several areas where it looked as if the trim was damaged by polish. I found the emblems to the car in my center console. It was so poorly cleaned.The worst part was when I went to start it, the power steering was out. I brought this up to Als attention and he claimed it was like that when I dropped it off. I asked why had they not called me and informed me of it when they discovered it and he made a snooty comment that they thought I liked it like that. Note that it is electronic and impossible to drive. So basically i like driving a car in which it is almost impossible to steer. Made a lot of sense to me. I really had to bite my tongue and hold back my temper. The odd thing was that they made me pay one of their employees cash for the headlight installation. They literally had him come out and hold his hand out for the cash. Just strange and unprofessional.I ended up calling a tow truck and having it towed to VW for repairs. Its an electronic system and very expensive to replace. It cost me over $2,000. VWs tech indicated that the electronic control unit was damaged and that it most likely was caused by jump starting the car incorrectly. The battery was almost dead upon arrival to VW so that made sense. Finally someone made sense!In the end I still love my car and just wish that I had never entrusted Macco with it. I suggest that if you too love your car, you take it somewhere else.

Reasonable prices and great customer service

My paint started fading well before the warranty was up and I went into have them look at it to fix the issue. The representative was extremely rude about the situation and blamed me for not waxing the car and that it was just dirty. When he buffed and waxed an area, but it was still dull compared to the other areas of the car, but he refused to concede that it was the paint. Then told me to come back next week to take photos to process a warranty claim. He said that it would take 10 days and that it probably wouldnt be honored...This place has forgotten what customer service and standing by your product is. I would never recommend anyone deal with this business.

I did not have a good experience considering the cost factor. I just got a quote from them for a minor paint job and the cost was high. I am not sure of the quality of their job as I did not get the job done from them.

To good to be true, Took my car for the $299.00 paint job, there is no such thing this is False Advertising, car need no repair, no dents just prep and paint Estimate was $560.00.. No one get their car painted for $299 NO ONE I dare any body post they paid $299?
