Come to Golden Bagel if you Ike a true and traditional style bagel. The menu selection is simple, prices are fair and the food is delicious and generously made. The young gentleman that took my order and made it as well was friendly and respectful. The place is clean, plenty of room to sit inside or out with great tasting smoothies and strong coffee as well.Give yourself some time when stopping by during the early AM rush and especially on weekend mornings.

Breakfast sandwich, pizza bagel and the cream cheese is all really good. We asked for a spinach bagel that we saw in the basket. 5 minutes later they told us they were out. They sold it to a to-go order that ordered after us. The bagel we got instead they didn’t toast it.

First time here. Business was booming on a Saturday morning! Word is out on this place. All three of us had the golden bagel sandwich and it was delicious! Super nice employees. Glad we found this place.

Honestly their BLT bagel sandwiches is the best I have ever had and I would highly recommend it. Every ingredient work beautifully together to create a symphony in your mouth. I will be coming back and telling anyone who even mentions bagels!

This is a local favorite and by far sells the best bagels in the area. Family owned and respected locally. If you dont like teenagers or crowds (guilty) then Id advise staying away on weekends or days after holidays. Id say the exception for this is New Years Day to some extent.In addition to their wide bagel and breakfast selection, they also offer light lunch bagel sandwiches or spreads. Also check out the juice bar if you dont feel like a whole bagel. They are health focused (with some exceptions) and do very well in balanced taste. They have wheat grass, protein boosts, ect.Freshly made bagels are will fill the empty baskets throughout the morning. Call for more inforation.

Best breakfast sandwiches in town! I have come multiple times and it has never disappointed. I change it up at times, but Im consistent with the Golden Scramble with turkey and bacon. Either on a bagel or croissant. Although, it is a small upgrade fee to get the croissant. The customer service is hard to judge. Ive been here when its busy and when its not. It just depends, but they are consistent with their generosity. It doesnt stop me from coming back, their food is too good!!

Absolutely love it here. Everytime Im in town I come here at least once. The bagels are always fresh and delicious, sandwiches custom made from scratch. Staff is friendly and personable, and the owner is almost always there helping out and chatting with patrons. Chain bagel places just cant compete with the experience.

If you are a New York Bagel lover than these are the best bagels anywhere in Southern California. They are the closest thing to a New York Bagel that you will ever find in San Diego County. My favorite is the everything bagel with cream cheese not toasted. I like asking for extra seeds and putting them on each side of your bagel open taste. The service is not always that great because sometimes there is a long line especially on Saturday. Theyre not very friendly theyre either so dont expect any warm fuzzies but you will get a good bagel the coffee is not very good either just get your bagels and go to Starbucks next door for your coffee fix.

Ive been here a few times and can say Im pretty impressed with the bagels here. They have a great selection and always fresh (you can buy the day-old bagels in bags at a discount). It can get pretty busy here, but Id say that just speaks more to the quality of their bagels.

Best bagels in San Diego county! This place has been around since I was a kid and is just as great as it was 15 years ago. If youre in north county and looking for breakfast, lunch, or a smoothie, check this place out! Their bagel sandwiches are the best. My favorite is a veggie sandwich on a tomatoe bagel.

The BEST bagel in southern california (and probably the west coast). Their everything bagel includes salt. THIS IS THE ONLY WAY TO HAVE AN EVERYTHING BAGEL. But, in general, all of their bagels are superior to others. I really, really, miss Golden Bagel.

This is where my husband and I sneak time to ourselves a couple of times per month after dropping off the kids at school/day care and before heading off to our jobs. The food is totally yummy and fairly priced! The smoked salmon is amazing, as is the sundried tomato and basil spread! I am a big fan of their smoothies too! My husband loves the Seattles Best coffee! Sometimes service is a little slow, so make sure you are not in a hurry or call ahead, but the food is always worth the wait!

I just stumbled upon this place while looking for a place to pull over and look for my sunglasses. I was excited when I saw bagel so I decided to give it a shot. Glad I did! It offers bagels, coffee drinks, fresh juices and smoothies. I got a breakfast bagel sandwich, a cup of coffee and a smoothie all for just over ten bucks. The smoothie list was hard to choose from because it had a lot of good options on it but I got the triple berry sunrise and its delicious. The bagel was a little soft compared to normal bagels but it made it easier to eat as a sandwich. The decor was slightly dated, but it kinda added to the homey feel of the place. It reminded me a lot of a place in my hometown that I used to go to all the time. Yummy, friendly and priced well. I would certainly be a regular if I lived in the area, and would certainly recommend it anyone who likes cute little breakfast shops.

Roast beef panini was yummy. Service was quick. Less than 10 minutes wait and the store was busy. Sandwich was $8 and was worth it as the portion was generous.Visiting again for the smoked salmon bagel. Price is now 11.95. Kinda pricey

This is a very in and get out type of place. Theres bagels and drinks/smoothies available. Staff is not chatty or greeting prone it seems.I got the golden scramble bagel sandwich on an everything. It was fine, the bagel was pretty soft and chewy, the egg pretty puffy, almost minimal bacon, and some cheese. The bagel did have a lot of topping coverage for an everything.

I work with food and looking at how they leave wet towels on their cutting boards where they put the food is very disgusting and unsanitary and how it seems to be a big deal to put gloves on when someone asks ? Never coming here again!

Love Golden Bagel! Moved away, but come here for a toasted spinach bagel with cream cheese everytime I visit. I love that they really prepare your bagel, and dont just hand you a sliced bagel and some cream cheese.

Golden Bagel is a convenience place to get freshly baked bagels in Rancho Penasquitos. The line can be long on the weekend. They usually have specialty bagels for days like St. Patrick’s Day. Like other bagel stores, they also offer yesterday bagels.

Came in this morning on 9/12/18. I ordered a jalapeño cheese and I tipped for my order. My order arrived and I took a bite, they had given me the wrong bagel. I asked the cashier and she admitted she made a mistake. The manager started giving me a hard time and attitude because I had taken a bite out of it... she also told me I would have to pay additional to get what I wanted even though it was their mistake. I’m not displeased about the cost, what I’m most displeased about is the way she went about handling the situation. Argumentative, and a poor attitude. Her name was Monset / Monse?.Businesses who handle problems and complaints like this, Won’t last in the next 5 to 10 years. Bagels were hard and not that great, menu is limited and they dont have build your own sandwich, and they didnt have plain or everything bagels available at noon for the lunch rush. Just ok.
