We got the new brisket sandwich and they are pretty tasty. I got mine on an everything bagel and we also got one just the way its advertised. Bagel was perfectly cooked and the flavor and tender of the brisket is worth going back for. The dude who was making the sandwiches had great customer service. There was a lady acting rude with staff and other patrons and he still kept his cool advised her she would be helped in order she came in. He continues making food and gets everyone going very quickly. The young ladies working there on cashier were very efficient, helpful and quick. Their cold brew was smooth and full of flavor. If you want a breakfast thats tasty and quick try them out.

IT TOOK HIM ABOUT 15 MIN TO FINALLY START ON OUR DRINKS. AFTER THE FIRST DRINK WAS DONE HE MADE OUR SECOND DRINK (STRAWBERRY SMOOTHIE & CARAMEL FROZEN DRINK) & IT WAS HALFWAY. AT THIS POINT I HAD BEEN WAITING FOR ABOUT 35 MIN FOR MY ORDER. I LET THE GUY KNOW THIS WAS NOT OKAY THAT MY DRINK WAS HALFWAY HE REPLIED WITH “well we dont have anymore ice” I JUST LEFT. I COME HOME & I SEE MY BAGELS ARE EXTREMELY BURNT!!!! RIDICULOUS!! NEVER WILL I BE COMING HERE AGAIN!!!

OMG where do I begin? this is my go-to favorite favorite bagel store in Mission Valley. all the Bagel & Pastry selections are so yummy . you wouldnt think this would be a place to get coffee but their coffee selections are great I order my latte (made w half n half)and Nova lox Bagel sandwich. Since I go often my points add up and I get free Bagels. a regular coffee is free with your sandwich order using the app or calling in your order. everyone is so nice and even when there is a long line you get your orders really quick . because of covid you cant sit down on the tables but maybe soon! we will be able to . I miss that. lastly the little potato hash brown cheddar to die for!all their sandwiches are SO TASTY. who doesnt love freshly soft baked bagel with cream cheese !

Excellent bagels. Friendly service. They dont have all their selection when they open however. The bagel I wanted to try had an ETA of 7am (I arrived at 6:30). Also the hot chocolate was utterly unimpressive and bland. I was also expecting to be able to just add a slice of lox as an add on. From the menu it seems if you want Lox you need to get the $8 meal.Probably deserves 3 stars, but its a chain.

I went to pick up an order through a delivery service app at the mission valley Einstein location. I walk in, look over to the left where it states online order pick up, doordash, Uber eats. There were no orders there. I head over to the order here sign at the left of the counter and there was an employee there.As I walk up, the gentlemen tells me orders are being taken at the other cashier on the far right. This guy didnt even greet me or ask to help me in any way. I told him ok, thanks, but Im picking up an order. He tells me the online orders are also with the employee on my right.I walk over and the employee is already with another customer. When she finished with the customer she asked for the name of the customer pick up. I gave her the name, she gives me the food order and turns around as if we were done.However the order included a bottle of chocolate milk. So I had to get her attention and ask for the chocolate milk. She told me they were out of stock and gave me options to ask the customer what they would like to replace it with. Why didnt she tell me that when she gave me the food? If I had not reviewed the order I would have delivered an incomplete order. I didnt ask her why she gave me an incomplete order. I just decided to contact the customer.While I was informing my pick-up customer his options. Another customer walks in, heads straight to the gentlemen employee under the order here sign and the employee immediately takes his order! The female employee on the far right wasnt busy at all.Needless to say, that really, really, really rubbed me the wrong the way. Obviously, it upset me so much that Im writing a review about my experience at this Einstein location.All I will say is the customer the gentlemen employee took an order from did not look like me. Simultaneously, my online customer decided to cancel his order. I told the female customer and she simply took the food and walked away.This was disappointing because the delivery order was an above average dollar amount. I then informed the gentlemen employee how I felt how he immediately helped the customer after me but informed me he couldnt take my order. He responded saying I had an online order. I told him you didnt even give me a chance to tell you or even greet me before you knew I had an online order.This was when I decided to just walk out and leave rather than expressing my true frustration in front of the entire store. It was clear that I wasnt go to receive a friendly customer experience with these employees at this Einstein location.

Bagels are always good . The toasting always varies. The outer edges get toasted but the rest doesnt. If you ask for double toasted the edges get burned and the rest is barely toasted

Employee GABRIELLE! Very disrespectful, treating people based on their looks as I can only assume. Gabrielle, my advise would be to go and work at a gas station instead - 2 Stars for the great customer service from all other employees except the rude young person named GABRIELLE (blond girl in ponytail today) 12/01/20. Maybe shes not always rude but today she was terrible at the register before ringing me up. No excuses on her walking up to the register, punching in to use it and then blank stares at me only to then look back down then up again no greeting, no words just silent. So I stayed silent as I was confused on when to order as she said Nothing to me. She then looks at me again and finally says to me, go ahead -as in to order! I then say, Oh, I didnt know as you didnt say anything -then Gabrielle says, oh Im sorry with a blankest stare - VERY FAKE and rude as far as Im concerned. This is NOT how you greet customers Gabrielle! You need to be retrained in BASIC customer service asap. What a shame.

Been here several times. Their baskets of bagels are almost always out of several selections of bagels. Its a bagel place. Its lunch time. Why are they out? Got take out today and found a really disgusting wilted lettuce in my turkey bacon avocado bagel. These guys must not be trained on food health safety. Nonetheless the food was good.

Hello,I hope this message gets to the owner of the store. I live nearby and frequent this establishment 2-3 a week. Today, not only did I watch the Shift Supervisor (black shirt, long pony tail make another customers food before mine) even though I had placed my order 2-3mins before him; I received a bagel that was essentially burnt. Which means she saw the bagel and still chose to wrap it up and serve it to me. Lastly, their were only two customers in the store and it was 530am! I called the store at 6:43am and spoke with this person and she admitted that she made the bagel and the condition it was in when she gave it to me. I will never be coming back here.

I usually go here all the time and have never had a problem before, but today when I got home with my bagel with cream cheese I found a long hair in my bagel. Needless to say my appetite was ruined after just one bite.

I love bagels. Theres something about the crispy shell and cloud soft inside, that makes getting up in the morning worthwhile.Now a steamed bagel has always had a softer crust than the traditional boiled bagel. Einstein Bros. Bagels has improved the steam process to achieve a similar crust. Both styles are proofed and baked. The cooking process takes about two hours. So every once in awhile, when an usually large order comes in, they can run out of some varieties. Calling/texting ahead guarantees your order. Catering for parties or the office is offered.A couple of dozen bagel varieties are available. The toppings include the traditional: cream cheese, lox, and veggies. Butter and hummus spread is also offered.The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.Einstein Bros. Bagels is ADA compliant. There are two neutral gender bathrooms and an eight seat wheelchair accessible table.And, the background music plays softly.Parking is free.

This is a great place for bagels and sandwiches. We, unfortunately, went during a time when their system was down and only accepted cash. However, the staff was able take care of us with no problem.

The food is always good, but the service is the worst Ive ever experienced at any chain restaurant. It takes them sometimes 30 minutes to complete an order, and the staff are consistently rude to their customers, or just plain dont listen to them during their order. I went for coffee and a bagel this morning and after waiting solo in line for almost 10 minutes, the person called me up to the register, started to take my order, then literally turned and walked away to do something else while I was mid-sentence. No explanation, no nothing; they werent even that busy, but regardless this specific location always feels understaffed and poorly run. The Del Mar location is far better in terms of service. While the food is usually worth the wait, I dont recommend coming here if youre ever in a hurry.

Ordered scooped and doubled toasted bagel. It came out super quickly but only half the bagel was scooped and only slightly toasted. Egg was cold. Quality falls victim to speed. Very disappointing.

Sandwich was good but I wish associates would listen when we asked for light ice. I dont particularly like it when I get half a cup of ice with less then half a cup of coffee. Next time I will just ask for no ice in hopes to get light ice.

I love Einstein Bros Bagels with all of my life. But this location is horrible. They have forgotten even make my order twice in the past year that Ive been going to this location. First time ever trying einstein bros bagels. The super nova lox great but simple request to add lettuce on both of my bagels was a fail I found out of course after I get home and settled in. I didnt get my receipt along with a bunch still attached to the printer... very nice people but for 2 $10 bagels its disappointing for such a simple request fail. First and last time.So I went back for redemption and not toasted this time so disappointed a total waste of $40 in a day

Having spent summers in New York, I was looking for a New York bagel experience and I found it at Einstein Bros.I used to take my daughters to Einstein Bros. as a special treat after they finished a tutoring session at the Lindamood-Bell Center. The loved it and a new generation of customers was born. Every time Ive ever been, Ive had a great experience, no matter how busy.Not today. Ill admit I was already in a bad mood when I entered but my experience did nothing to help change it. I asked the service person if they were still open? She said yes. It took me a minute to make my decision but I had the turkey, bacon, and avocado, on a everything bagel. Which was perfect as usual. A little salty for my tastes, but otherwise was another great Einstein product. I asked if they could bring the sandwich to my table as Im disabled and was in a lot of pain. There was one other person sitting at a table. You would have thought I was asking for them to pay for it.I used the soda machine and it kept spewing ice long after it shouldve stopped. When I put my cane down it was right on an ice cube. I almost slipped and fell. They called my name and left the sandwich on the counter top and walked away. I got up to get the sandwich the table almost flipped over on me. I get the sandwich and asked for a fork. I was told it was over on another counter, the untensil counter across the store. I asked again for them to please give me a fork and I got the same answer.I sit down to enjoy my sandwich, Im three bites in, and the same service person who rang me up, came by and told me they were now closed and locking up. She did say I could sit and finish my meal. How am I supposed to enjoy my meal knowing they needed to clean up and for me to leave the store?Next time someone asks if your still open, just tell them your closing in ten minutes and let them decide if they want to stay.

Ok bagels, good prices at least. Sparse salmon on lox, and almost no capers. Chai was way too sweet, and no soy milk option (actually ended up throwing some out). Menus only listed their name for things and price (whats in a Santa Fe?) friendly staff.

NEW MANAGEMENT NEEDED!!Both breakfast meals were made very hastily, couldnt eat mine because everything was smashed together and fell apart. Whatever schmear they used was overly spiced, smeared all over and was the biggest cause of the slips. The staff, I wish they werent either 1) so tired they didntask if there was anythingelse wanted (the one who took the order kept yawning & when asked if hes ok, explained how sick he was the day before but better this morning) 2) the one that takes payment was also tired and rushed through the transaction also not asking if something else was wanted (there were muffins to try but thought otherwise). Give an E for effort yet the service, presentation and overall taste of the food would warrant more stars and better compliments if they made a 360° turn. New management needed!

Nothing wonderful about this place. The line is insanely long in the mornings and can take 20-30 minutes to get in and out. The food does the trick though so it’s a 4 star for me.

I have to agree with the negative reviews. I come here about once a month and there is something wrong with the customer service every time (eg, an order was missed, order was wrong, ran out of coffee, rude or oblivious staff, wait is 3-4 times longer than what you would think (20+ min for bagel and spread after paying)). The bagels are great, coffee is fine, and other food like cookies are pretty good. Only go here if you have plenty of time on your hands and ALWAYS get your receipt!!!! I also recommend signing up for their rewards program, I always get free bagels and coffee for only going in a couple times (but obviously, nothing is free, they probably sell my info haha).

Been here multiple times and as long as you dont deviate from the menu item in anyway, they can successfully make your bagel sandwich 90% of the time. The moment you ask for any change (e.g. different bagel, egg white, etc), this place falls apart. They will consistently screw up your order and if its the brown haired dude with the beard, hell act like its the biggest inconvenience to correct any issue.

If you want a bagel this is your place. If you want a Specific type of bagel not so much. Running out of popular bagel seems to be the norm. They dont seem to know the difference between the top selling selection and the stuff that they throw out at the end of the day. Whatever the limitations they have, Im sure improvements can be made. Ive walked out of there empty-handed so often it might be worth the 15 min ride to the next bagel place. Oh and if anybody from the store reads this - Everything bagel is a popular one!!!

Filthy. Bought a bakery item. Girl threw in large bag. It was burnt. I handed back with bare hand and she put it back on shelf for sale. I went to get coffee and the station was gross. I took my cup bag of bagel baked good and threw out the entire thing. Afraid to eat for fear of illness from such neglect.

Jessi, acting assistant manger was so rude and disrespectful, worst service ever. Id fire anyone working at any of my business and would have been fired for behaving this way at any other. ok, while I love bagels and other locations this one in mission center was the worst service ive ever experienced. after waiting for over 20 min for my order (we were a large group of 7 with 5 kids as I have a big family) we were eating and enjoying our meal. just as 3:00 pm rolled around the assistant manger Jessi, told the entire store (4 separate groups of customers in the store) that she was going to be locking the doors in 1 minute. this was done by announcing it in a stern and rude manner and that was all that was said. thinking she was referring to not letting in any more customers we simply continued to eat as did the other customers. then about 4-5 min later, she went over to the second door and asked an employee to lock it. while there she told the two people sitting by the door (who I do not know) they were locking up and they needed to leave. this clearly made them very unhappy but they did not respond. finally 4-5 min later again, as I was helping my children pack up she came over and told my entire family we had to move so she could vacuum the floor where we were. this was said in such a rude fashion that this finally caused me to respond. I asked for her managers name and a number to reach her to make a complaint. she refused to give it to me and asked me to leave. I then asked her if I needed to let her know my complaints as well and she responded with I dont care again as rude as possible. I began to explain to her that she was the rudest service provider ive ever experienced and her behavior was unacceptable. She responded by telling me I had to leave and she was going to call security. I again asked her to call her manager and demanded she get any supervisor over her on the phone as she was forcing my family and the other patrons out of the store. she again refused and threatened to call the police on me for wanting to make a complaint. the police. I have contacted there customer service, and filed a formal complaint against her. I hope she has been let go as she should not be allowed to deal with customers. Please if you see her there avoid her, and just go to another location.

We go once in a blue moon, but like it here. Staff is nice, bagels are good, wife likes the bagel sandwiches. Place gets a 4 instead of a 5 because there are always dirty tables around.

Tasty snack of many varieties from plain bagels to juice, fruit and sandwiches. Can be very crowded but the line usually goes quickly.

DO NOT BUY THEIR SANDWICHES. I paid $7.69 for rotten vegetables and a pound of mayo, oh yea, and some paper-thin bacon lost among all that mayonnaise. I went through 10 napkins and 3 paper towels to catch the dripping mayo as I ate only the first half of the sandwich. I didnt have it in me to do that all over again for the second half. They also put a spoiled rotten cucumber in with my sandwich, I NEVER ASKED FOR A PICKLE, and pickles are so pungent, they ruin any dish. So if people do not ask for it, do not ruin their meal with that rotten cucumber called a pickle. The only good part of this was the top of the bagel, because they do not put toppings on both sides of their bagels like real bagel places do, stop with that cornmeal nonsense on the bottom. However, the bagel was soaked with the rotten juices from the pickle. Had they not closed so early, I would have gone back to return it. It was so bad, I stopped eating it, even though I was still hungry.

This is one of the few einstein bagels that have great customer service, i come here every other week and i allways call ahead to ask them if they can do fresh out of the oven bagels for me, and IN 2 years that iveen coming only one time i had a not so good experience, but it was because they were braking inn a new baker, the rest of the time its veen allways a great experience, i highly recommend this particular einstein bagels.NOTE: IVE CALL THE ONE IN DELL CERRO, THE ONE IN MISSION GORGE, THE ONE IN LA MESA AND NONE OF THEM THEY WERE WILLING TO MAKE ME FRESH BAGELS.

Consistently get my order wrong. Its very disorganized and confusing to order when you walk in the door. I asked for an iced chai latte and after a lengthy wait, was given my drink only to find out it was an iced coffee. Staff is generally nice but everyone seems very frazzled and understaffed when I go in. Also they constantly run out of bagels even early in the morning.

They dont carry the regular jalapeno bagel at this location :(. Otherwise, Einstein has the best bagels in San Diego.

Terrible service. The wait is forever. We walked in and this woman had waited 20min for a bagel with butter and the employee was like whatever. Coffee wasnt filled properly there wasnt any flavored coffee and I wouldnt bother asking because the employees probably wouldnt care or wouldnt do anything about it. Also, dont think about coming here in the morning on your way to work.
