I am the owner of a Bicycle Tools Company. I have designed many of our unique bicycle products personally.Whenever possible - I hire Dan Large from XL Velo.Dans skills, expertise and knowledge are unsurpassed in the Bicycle industry. With a product which is an ultralight two-wheeled vehicle, your safety and performance is best guaranteed by having the best possible service. It is worth any price. Dan is that person.Dans experience and knowledge go further than servicing bikes. His background helps us improve products, and improve the industry.I live on the other end of the country. If I was lucky to be close like you, I would not work on my bikes myself. Dan is the one person I would trust more than myself. If you are close enough to get service from XL Velo, do it.

Best bike repair shop in town hands down. Dude is very passionate and knowledgeable about bikes. Was able to take our Walmart special and tune it up to make it a great ride for our daughter. Also brought our neglected old bikes back to life and they ride better than ever. 10/10 will be back again.

Recently ordered a few items from XL Velo. By far one of the easiest experiences Ive had with a bike shop. Super knowledgeable, knows all the inner workings of every component, and is a really cool dude with questionable musical taste. ;) Will return again!

Great customer service. My son popped a tire on his way home from school, I picked him up on the side of the road and went straight to XL Velo. Although I just walked in Dan was very helpful and polite and got me situated right away and had me on my way within minutes!

Through Daniel Large Professional help and guidance I ordered a custom made titanium frame from Bixxis, hand build by Doriano De Rosa. I am extremely appreciative of what Daniel has done for me by taking the time to walk me through the process of deciding what type of bike frame I needed. From listening to me, understand the type of riding I enjoy & determining what my skill level Is. Then we moved on to measurements of me & determined what sized frame would work best! Measurements wasn’t the only factor in deciding frame size, things like flexibility, age, injuries & medical problems all are important input in sizing. At this point you start thinking ok frame sizing done let’s get this show on the road! Well not so fast, now onto what type of frame is best for you, carbon, steel, titanium or aluminum maybe stainless steel or a combination? This is when having a true professional like Dan again is very important to help guide you through so you make the right decision for the best frame type! After many discussions I decided on a Bixxis, Pathos titanium frame with a carbon fiber fork! Without Dan’s help I know I would still be on a new steel frame. For me I’ve test ridden a few carbon frames & don’t care for the feel of them at all. I’m not saying carbon frames are bad, I know many people love them & that’s great, I’m just saying I personally don’t like them! So after ordering the frame I was able to step back & take a brake before starting the discussion about what group, wheels & everything else that would be needed to complete the bicycle. From the day of ordering frame to the date of delivered, four months. This gave me a chance to breathe again before moving forward with Dan once more in making decisions on everything else needed to complete the bicycle. I decided on Campagnolo super record group with rim brakes, Campagnolo Bora WTO wheel set & a set Campagnolo Shamal aluminum wheels, titanium speedplay pedals. In short I’ve had this bicycle for one month, have put between 500 to 600 miles on this new beauty, one word explains everything I think & feel about this bicycle! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE.So what do I think of XL VELO bike shop & the owner Daniel Large! The best of the best in every way possible a TRUE PROFESSIONAL!!! I will never go anywhere else for anything bicycle related again, XL VELO is my forever bicycle shop! Michael W Neill

Dan built up my Colnago C59 with Campagnolo EPS and did a masterful job. The bike performs flawlessly. There are only certain people I trust to work on my bikes and Dan is full Pro. I highly recommend him for any work, regardless of the bike. His experience, integrity and good humor make him a pleasure to work with.
