Beach Sweets is a great candy shop on Newport, right next to Hodad’s. To me, the shop is mash-up of See’s and The Candy Factory, with some creative items mixed in. I like the honeycombs, salted caramels, taffy, and chocolate-covered Rice Krispies the most. It’s worth popping in and paying a visit when you’ve got a sweet craving. Staff are really friendly and helpful!

Small candy shop with treats as beautiful as they are delicious for people AND doggos! Right along the main road in Ocean Beach so be prepared for parking and people but the reward at the end is so very worth it. ❤️

I visited Beach Sweets to pick up some fun stocking stuffer candy. They have a really good selection of taffy, jelly beans, and other vintage candies, and a whole case of specialty chocolate! The prices are great. I’ll definitely come back for some more goodies in the future.

Best homemade candy!

We had a wonderful time! Dropped by right before closing. Had a delicious almond milk mocha. Truffles were amazing. We should have doubled our order. We enjoyed talking with the chef as well. What a treat!

Great little Candy store, Fun place to stop and get some unique treats. Their hand made stuff is great but expensive. they have other bulk candy and a great selection of old school candy bars and other hard to find Sweets. Cant walk out of here empty handed.

Delicious candy choices! Owner creates chocolates to die for and has a nostalgic candy section too. Bulk candy bins. A block from the ocean, right next door to famous Hodads burgers.

Just like an old fashioned candy shop with beautiful and unusual creations. Also, chocolate covered bacon!!! Too much emphasis on taffy and jelly bellies, but outstanding chocolate ideas - like the dipped oreo pops and sea creature based chocolates. Highly recommended little place, tucked in beside Hodadss in the downtown of Oceanbeach. Seriously, its a block to the shore. :-)

Excellent candy selection, many hand made quality candy creations as well As old the classic favorites. Recommend this place if youre in trouble or want to confirm that you really love your significant other not just for their looks.... Like me when I went here. Like really people? Im a guy and I can say no to sweets, but holy hell you get a girl in a candy store you may as well walk the f out cuz youre not getting out of there without buying something. Would I go back ? Certainly. Excellent selection and even better favors. Plus the fatter I get my Gf the less ill feel bad about dumping her a**. YAy for my metabolism and commitment issues. Boo for eve for eating the apple and cursing the males dream to have a beautiful wife for life.
