The chocolate here is amazing!!! And the owner makes it fresh every morning!!! She was so nice that she let me and a small family in to buy some even though they had closed at least an hour before. Her little girl was adorable and helpful. I would recommend you stop in and have a drink and a chocolate. You won’t regret it! I will certainly be back and when it’s open so I can try all the other delicious stuff they offer!!

Best chocolate I have ever had. I also tried the Mexicano mocha, amazing!!! I appreciate the fact that the person that assisted me explained the different flavors and made recommendations. It is a very cute shop, they also have wine you can purchase.

Ive had the greatest European chocolates in France and Belgium and Chi is among the elite. Come for chocolate or coffee and get a lesson in deliciousness. By far my favorite chocolate producer in San Diego.

The quality of the coffee, pastries and chocolate is superb. The balance of spices, e.g. in the spicy mocha, is spot on.

Today my friend and I went to Chi Chocolat for the second time. The first time we ended up by mistake and fell in love with this place. We had quiches and chai tea lattes. They have a few outdoor seatings, food is great and chai latte awesome and, more important, the staff is very nice and welcoming. Today we went back there for a chai latte and some breakfast. Another great experience. It was raining and kind of cold (yes I’m spoiled by sunny San Diego) and the staff turned an outdoor heater for their customers. We’ll definitely go back to try new dishes and more chai latte!

They have a great vibe going on in this little shop. Nice music selection to go along with their espressos, teas, etc. lots of chocolates, of course. The staff was very friendly. My only complaint was my chai latte was a little weak. Gotta give them another chance though.

My husband and I are on vacation here in San Diego, and were looking for something sweet. We like to try new places and things, so we googled candy shops, and found ourselves at Chi Chocolat.For starters, the place was so dark that we had to use the flashlight app on our phones to see the names and descriptions of the chocolates. My husband and I decided to try the raspberry, peanut butter, chili, tequila, and ginger flavors. We expected to pay a premium for designer chocolates, and were not surprised to pay $17 for six candies. However, we were surprised that they did not taste particularly good! Yes, they definitely tasted like chili, tequila, etc., but not in a good way! We ended up throwing away the last two of them, and headed to a nearby Sees, which may have been pedestrian, but at least their candies are predictably enjoyable!On the plus side, the woman who waited on us at Chi Chocolat was polite and friendly, and packaged our order in a lovely box and bow with matching gift bag. Hence the two star rating.My husband and I are from Palm Springs, and perhaps we are a little spoiled by the wonderful eateries in our area. Nonetheless, we know when we have eaten something that tastes bad. We wont be back.

Coffee beverages and chocolates are fabulous...as well as their brunch items, Baby Dutch Pancake and Quiches exquisite! They are a hidden gem in San Diego.

Ordered a Vietnamese ice coffee and it was SOOOO good. Not as sweet as the typical versions which was great. Service was good and they give you a little chocolate with your drink. Ill definitely be back!

Chocolates are amazing but place is almost never open. No hours posted and 3 of the last 4 times I tried to go during the middle of the day, they were closed.

I believe that Chi Chocolat has the best artisan chocolate bar...I tried the Hot Chocolate and it was creamy delicious..they also have and array of expresso and cappucinos..chai tea...look no more this place is awsome..they also serve breakfast and lunch...sip your hot drinks or perhaps a bottle of wine in the parlor, it feels like being in your own living room..I was flabbergast...my dear travelers and friends this is a must stop..I highly recomend it..Thank you for viewing ...D Third Eye

This is a beautiful Chi Chocolat in russian hill. I always come out here with something whether Im craving chocolate, marshmallow, gumballs, or something sour-y. The workers here are so nice and really generous about sampling their products.Neighborhood businesses get 10% off so I come here during my breaks for a sugary pick-me-up. Yay!

Crazy good americano. Cool place and the service is sincere when they thank you. Small selection of chocolates but it seems like a quality over quantity thing. Will return again soon.

Im obsessed with their chai! Other than their incredible chai latte, the staff is so friendly, restaurant is clean and food is delicious and freshly made. Such a joy to have in Liberty Station. Best coffee shop in Liberty Station!

Staff is defensive when asked about allergens in their chocolate. Insisting it has no dairy or Soy. The ingredients clearly list butter & Soya lechtin (soy). Poor grades on customer service, good chocolate of your not allergic. Bad experience w all three staff becoming very defensive over the allergens listen on their chocolate brick which they do not make. Just a simple question....... did not need to be a negative exchange.

Chocolate croissant is missing a very important ingredient... Chocolate! And the almond Croissant doesn’t taste at all like almond. Total disappointment :( worst croissants ever!!!
