Great first experience! The man helping me was so kind and was the kind of person with a happy about life contagious personality. Got the ice cream (brownie chunks were amazing!) And a turtle, made me wish I got more!!
I found this shop while getting pastries at the French Gourmet, its right across the street. Met the owner - they make their own chocolate and it was really delicious. He gave me a toffee truffle and I have to say I would go back just for that -- it was AMAZING!! This place was a complete surprise. I live in AZ and I will be making a beeline for this place when I come back!
A little hole in the wall place on a busy street. I live in the area and pass by it regularly. I rarely see any customers inside so I thought it might be struggling since the pandemic and decided to stop by. I was immediately greeted by a polite and quirky cashier. Inside there is a display case with a variety of chocolates, all equally priced. I was very surprised by the price, $2.50 per chocolate truffle. Nevertheless, I bought a 5 pack of truffles for $13 (shouldnt it be $12.50 or less?), trusting that it would be worth it. I got a Mocha Kahlua truffle, a Raspberry truffle, and a few others and they all tasted exactly the same. Apart from exterior decorations, they were all just a hunk of milk or dark chocolate. Raspberry flavor, Kahlua flavor, was literally undetectable. Definitely not as advertised.
Great handmade ice cream and chocolateThe key lime ice cream flavor was amazing
Great chocolate and homemade icecream. Can’t wait to try more
They have the best homemade ice cream around.
Staff is always so kind and helpful. Chocolates are delicious! Such a variety. They also package the chocolates up so beautifully! The perfect gift to send to my family!
Was sent their milk and dark chocolate turtles as a gift. They are AMAZING. Will definitely be coming into the store for more
Nice guy, good selection, excellent chocolate.
The candy is great and that guy working the counter on Mondays and Fridays in the afternoons is a hottie.
Very bland, strawberry was crumbly. If you like creamy ice cream, this is not your place
This place was amazing! I absolutely loved it! The Chocolate Lab was a lot of fun! I cant wait to visit another time!
The staffs here will diligently recommend and propose to you the best options you can get based on your taste and budget.
When my wife and I walked in, the OWNER was staffing the counter and he completely IGNORED us, looking at nothing but his phone. Didnt say hi for over a minute. I had to say hi to him first to get his attention and he seemed very disinterested. I considered informing his manager about the poor service, but when he told me he was the owner, I was shocked! I think hes owned it for too long and is too comfortable to value every person who walks in. The toffee was so-so, but for such a bad service experience, Ill probably never go back.
My romantic of a boyfriend sent me here during a Valentines Day scavenger hunt. The chocolates are awesome, and the staff were sweethearts to engage in the fun! Im trying so hard to savor the box of truffles from the Haus: theyre divinely rich and noticeably handmade with love. Hands down the best chocolate Ive had on this side of the Atlantic.
Polite service. Quaint shop. Expensive. Would return.
I have this philosophy where smaller shops are the best shops for their focus on you is optimized while the environment is not as engaged as larger locations. Larger locations such as Dennys or Islands can easily dismiss who you are and however many times youve been. But in smaller shops you are easily identified, and they learn to respect, appreciate, and befriend your presence.Ive tried their hot chocolate, the majority of their chocolate assortment, and their ice cream. Beginning with the chocolate, Ive learned that an individual batch is concocted via two days time, and topped off with whimsical decoration. Id like to describe their texture creamy, dense and smooth with a foundation of subtle-sweetness; each batch carrying a different personality of flavour. They all equally melt into your mouth and emanate fresh mouth-watering aromas. They have these lavender truffles that are but very curious when tasting them. The nirvana are my favourite sort. The filling in these truffles are so satisfactory that it is strongly comparable to gliding silk over your tongue. Now when ordering my chocolate tea, I watched as a thick block of chocolate was shaved into my drink. The beverage was very sweet and filling. It was hot chocolate as it is, but sweeter. Perhaps even a little too sweet, but I liked it. Id although recommend not consuming any other sweet thing before the drink. As aforementioned, its pretty sweet.I stopped by later for ice cream, and it was the right amount of soft and thick, not at all fluffy. Ive only had two sorts: the key lime and chocolate with chunks of brownie (chocolate brownie chunk?). But you can bite into it and it would give you unoverwhelming, cooling mouthfuls. Its not too sweet, not too plain (take a good comparison between Thriftys and Baskin Robbins). The flavour is enough to sate any cravoury, as it had with mine. Im rather full now, actually. Its not too gourmet. Youve got your basic and popular flavours, like cookies and cream, chocolate and coconut. There is about a dozen flavours to choose from. The employees are easy and fun to talk to. They are also a considerate people. During my first visits I was given a surprise sample with my orders. It is pricey as it should be. A lot of homemade effort has been put into their products.
