Bought a pair of glasses and the frames broke by the lens. Called to replace under warranty but Walmart vision center representative said they would have to send the broken frames along with the lenses to the manufacturer with a two week wait. Their not able to replace the frames with the ones they currently have in stock but... you can buy it and they will place the lenses in for you but under warranty the manufacturer has to do it. Never again buy here, they are a private company selling within walmart so your not able to go to other walmarts for service.
Cheap lenses. I had prescription sunglasses lenses made and they lasted a little over a year. They became cloudy over the course of one month. The exterior of the lenses look like they crystalized. Its the entire lens up to the frame. If it was a result of abrasion, the frame would have protected the edges if the lens. The crystallization is uniform and covers the entire lens. Its an obvious manufacturer defect as there is nothing I could do to make this happen. Ive been getting the same style of lens on frames like this for over 20 years without experiencing any problem like this. They normally last for years, not just one year. They might get a few scratches but they don’t cover the entire lens to the point of making them cloudy.WalMart screwed up the first set of lenses that they made for this frame. The polarization of the lenses wasnt parallel. It made everything look weird. It was an easy problem to diagnose because you only need to hold them in front of another polarized lens to determine the direction of the polarization. The polarization is supposed to be horizontal but both lenses were at a wacky angle. Getting them to fix their mistake was like pulling teeth. I was able to demonstrate the problem to them but the employee didn’t even understand the concept of polarization and didn’t want to do anything about it. The only way I got them to fix the problem was to demand new lenses or a refund. They reluctantly sent the glasses back for new lenses and treated me like I didn’t know what I was talking about. The second set of lenses were made correctly. No apology or acknowledgement that they screwed up.The employees that sit behind the counter don’t appear to be trained or have any expertise with glasses. They’re just inexperienced cashiers like the people that sell cell phones.$200 wasted on cheap lenses.
