Our wedding cake was absolutely stunning, and tasted amazing!! We had so many compliments and our guests loved it. We went with the blood orange and it was honestly the best tasting cake I have ever tried. It was so hard to choose between the samples for our cake tasting- so you cant go wrong!

Babycakes for the win! We had the carrot cake, salted caramel, lemon Bavarian, and blood orange cupcakes for our backyard wedding. Delivery went smoothly and the guests were over the moon for the cupcakes. So pretty and the best flavors. Newly weds highly recommend for a solid crowd pleaser!

Came here tonight for a quick dinner because my friend was feeling Italian so we Yelped a place closeby.The ambience of the restaurant was nice and cozy and intimate. I saw a mixture of families and couples all engaged in conversation so there was on going chatter but it wasnt super loud by any means.

Placed an order to go and had the most dry chicken of my life. Considering they increased their prices, which is fine if you maintain the same quality. Unfortunately I think theyve gone significantly downhill. Really sad since I really did love this place.

Ordered a carrot cake birthday cake for my brother from here. The cake was delicious and not overly sweet as most carrot cakes tend to be. A 6 inch cake was perfect to feed 6 of us. Since the cake is 3 layers it was tall, and we had left overs to feed another 4 people. Definitely a great place to get a cake from. The cupcakes are also amazing, so thats why I decided on getting the cake from here. Will be getting more cakes from here in the future.

I randomly headed to Babycakes to pick up some cupcakes to help celebrate my moms 79th birthday. Not only were the cupcakes AMAZING, but the guy who helped me was as sweet as the cupcakes - he included candles and party hats to help make my moms birthday even more festive (despite it being a celebration of just the two of us because of Covid). She was so excited and felt so special, thanks to Babycakes. I highly recommend the German chocolate and the lemon cupcakes, but Im fairly certain that anything Babycakes makes would be as incredible as their customer service!

We finally visited this place after having drove by a lot of times. Its $4 for a cupcake I got the baby cakes the sprinkles, the red velvet and the chocolat... the chocolate was good it remonded me of the costco sheet cake. But the other 3 .. they were bad ...the red velvet left a weird nasty taste in my mouth my husband didnt eat it we ordered 4 coffees that we ended up tossing in the trash too, I wont be back. I usually get sprinkles cupcakes and Ill be sticking to that place for now. Customer service was good there were 2 guys there they were friendly. But the cupcakes were so disappointing.

Wonderful customer service and beautiful cupcakes. I’ve had them twice now. I’m just not a fan. But I’m a big fan of cupcakes in general, so I had to try a second time. I like my cupcakes spongier and more moist. Also not crazy about their buttercream and other frosting options.

My wife loves this place. If Baby Cakes was a person, I might get jealous! After trying many cupcakes, our favorite ones are the blood orange and chocolate raspberry. It is best to call before going to make sure they have the flavors you want.

Made a special trip to this bakery - its super beautiful, with a lovely chandelier inside. The cupcake was ok. Their specialty cakes on Instagram look amazing.

Tiramisu is incredibly amazing. Parking is extremely limited (approximately 3 spots) but available if you get there at the right time. Very friendly staff and a good selection of vegan options. The flavors are very well done and come through really well.

The doughnuts were amazing. The person working was helpful and attentative. When I went, there was only one person working. Seemed like alot for one person to do. Everyone in there was patient and kind. Including myself. Maybe it was a rush. I went there on a Wednesday at 4:30p.m. I would suggest some help. Employee morale is important.

Ive loved this place ever since I discovered it 10 years ago. We just moved back to CA and it was one of the first places I had to go. I was sad to find it wasnt in its original location, but Babycakes could be in a box and the cupcakes would still be the incredibly decadent cupcakes Ive known and loved for years. No bakery does it better.

My husband got me some goodies for my birthday this year, Ive never tried them, but always drove by. The customer service was 5 stars, I wasnt the biggest fan of their treats though, just not my cup of tea. You never know unless you try it. I always encourage ppl to go at least once, reviews are cool, but obviously the best experience is your own.Parking is a bit tight, other wise street parking is your option & it being between the downtown & hillcrest area well you know how parking goes.

I went here to buy cupcakes for my friends birthday. Their cupcakes are gram worthy not jusy because of how good they look but because of how yummy they are too. My personal favorites are their red velvet, tres leche, carrot and maple bacon cupcakes.

New location in Hillcrest. Soon they will have their beer and wine license. Outstanding cupcakes and pastries served with a decent cup of coffee (hard to find in Hillcrest). They also serve Cappuccino, Espresso and Italian Soda.

Unfortunately, the vibe has changed. The quality of the cupcakes is subpar compared to others. The customer service was wonderful -- the manager is adorable.

Bqbycakes has taken over the previous Pinkberry location and brought awesome cupcakes along with them. They had a terrific grand opening a few weeks back, and definitely bring some energy back to the area. We have turned to Babycakes over the years for birthday parties and the occasional cupcake to go. Always nice to see a locally-owned business thrive and come back to their roots. Welcome back to Hillcrest, Babycakes.

Really didn’t care for these cupcakes, unfortunately. We usually get Sprinkles or Pure Cupcakes and these just didn’t live up. The frosting was quite terrible in texture and the cake was kind of dry and tasted like a lower quality box mix. Will not be bringing Babycakes to our next party or event.

I’m so happy Babycakes is back in Hillcrest. The cupcakes are as good as it gets and the staff is always fun and friendly.
