Great ice cream shop! Perhaps too good, they were out of a lot of flavors. Thats what I get for showing up on the last day of a holiday weekend. Looking forward to going again and trying some of their other flavors. I had sea salt vanilla by the way.

Great ice cream. Quick service. Plenty of gluten free and vegan options. I am not a vegan and had a vegan flavor. Honestly, I couldnt tell the difference.

Having been here a few times I can say that this is one of the best ice cream shops in San Diego. Really great and unique flavors and enjoy the flight of ice cream which lets you try just about every flavor if you get two 😉 My only wish is that they would make or stock cookies to go along with the ice cream as last time we brought our own and it was a great combination. Many customers asked us where we got the cookies from (we offered them some) and they agreed cookies are what could set this apart from other ice cream joints in San Diego.

We saw a number of shops selling ice cream... NO home-made ones. Mutual Friend Ice Cream was on top of the bill, really. Every flavor was great... you had to go and try your home-made ice cream.

After eating at pizzaria Luigi my boyfriend and I took a walk just to see what else was around. We came across Mutual Friends and decided to give it a chance. And Im so glad we did.Clean place and friendly staffing.I got to sample the raspberry and mascarpone ice. Oh my. Its so good. Its so creamy and flavorful.I should have sampled the other flavors but I was stuck on that one. So when in San Diego definitely come here.

Went here during covid times; I walked right up with my mask on and they answered my questions and explained the flavors etc in such a friendly manner, even though they probably say the same spiel 100 times a day. The ice cream was AMAZING and the waffle cone was still warm! *droooooool* (they even brought out a piece of an old waffle cone for my dog! and of course they asked first if she could have the treat :))

Even with 3 people, the flight had enough ice cream to be quite filling.Great ice cream, good portions, reasonably priced, and good atmosphere! Pretty small shop, but seems like it would make for a good date spot.Also, Mutual Friends is right next door to Dark Horse Coffee Roasters which is bomb.

The flavors are hip and cool but way too sweet to enjoy.

As you walk in you get assaulted by the sweet smell of the fresh sugar cones being made by hand and you are done. All resistance is futile. Then you taste the samples. Youll be here often. And the service is extremely nice. My kids loved this place. Well be back soon! Blackberry with oats and lemon curd. Enough said.

Wow. The flavors are creative and delicious (including the vegan ones) and you cant get a better deal than their ice cream flight. Two of us werent able to finish it. A quiet a low key spot. Definitely worth the stop!

I really enjoyed Mutual Friend. The staff are very nice and let us try several different flavors. I settled on the goat cheese and blueberry which sounds crazy but was super delicious!! Also if you’re a fan of Friends the tv show their shirts are modeled after that which is a fun perk! I would totally come back!

My husband and I were in California for our anniversary. We decided to find someplace to get some ice cream so we looked on google and went to Mutual Friend.The people were friendly,it was delicious, and busy! People popping in while out walking their dogs or just in the neighborhood. We would definitely go back another time.

This is what a local ice cream shop is. Everything is made in house, so it brings that freshness. The staff is very friendly. There’s a range of flavors but nothing that is weird. I had a flight, which is 4 scoops, for 7.50, which is a very reasonable price. There’s seasonal flavors which are tasty, such as the gingerbread, or regular ones like vanilla bean. I wasn’t disappointed with any of the ones i tried.It’s still a new place but it’s worth a try!

Came here after we were disappointed to find out two scoops in South Park had closed down! We moved to nyc a few years ago so this came as a shock. Found this spot on google maps and decided to check it out because of all the good reviews. Great ice cream, smallish selection of flavors but DELICIOUS! Great service and reasonable prices! Who doesn’t love a good scoop!?

Very rich and flavorful ice cream. I had a scoop banana peanut butter and a scoop of double caramel on their waffle cone. They give you a good portion and the waffle cones are really good. It tastes like they have a little cinnamon in them.

Ill return friends next time. It has a good atmosphere. Makes me feel like I am back in Tucson.

Came here on opening day at the end of the night! The servers were incredibly friendly humans, people I would want as my friends! And the texture of the ice cream is better than any Ive ever had tbh. Flavors unique and DELICIOUS!!!

They have really good ice cream and they actually make it. I would follow them on Instagram so that way you can get updated on the new flavors, because they do change.

Great local Golden Hill boutique and custom/homemade ice cream parlor. They make their own ice cream and even made a Comicon themed array of ice creams to celebrate the weekend. Vegan options available.

It feels almost shameful at some ice cream places to try flavors, at Mutual Friends they were so friendly and kept offering samples. The ice cream is BOMB. I got the flight, my favorites were the Haole Pie and the Dark Horse coffee flavors. Will be back!
