Especially Bob because he not only went out of his way and stayed after hours just to help me and my husband out on transferring into a bigger unit. One of the nicest facilities I’ve ever used for storing my household gear. The late access hours are, frankly, a HUGE blessing for me and were the main reason to rent here vs elsewhere.I love the full-time custodian - he is both kind & diligent. (I’ve never seen/smelled anything gross in over 3 years renting here. Knowing he is around - combined with the cameras - I’ve always felt safe alone here while organizing my gear. Both remarkable feats in this locale!) And management is super-helpful every time I’ve needed them.Thumbs up.

This was a much more positive experience that I had expected it to be. The employees were all friendly and professional. There were many spaces which were the size I need, but not the shape. They were kind enough to walk me through the facility showing me the different spaces in the size that I need. There was no pressure to accept one or the other. They readily quoted the price of the units as I asked. No hemming or hawing, a direct price quote. Very explicit instructions were given on the quickest way to reach the storage spaces which I was interested in renting from parking and from the elevators.i. It was a pleasure. They were interested in my needs and gave me many options from which to choose. I never felt rushed or coerced to choose what they want me to choose or to spend more money. So... I made the decision and got it my storage space the same day. Very easy transaction. Thank you. 😊👍

Cheap, convenient and really nice! When I first got a storage unit here the woman working helped me find a great deal for a month. When I was late on a payment they let me pay for just a couple days. Would recommend

In general, I have no issues. I have a nice unit. The customer service is cool. Bug free. Decent price. The only thing that bugs me is that there is a Mexican guy that works there. He always has something to say to me. One time i was peeling an orange as I was leaving. No car. Walking. Didnt drop a peel. I had to hear about the orange. I currently have two knee injuries. Painful! So today, because I have a cargo bin on top of my car I couldnt drive inside to get close to the elevator. I tried parking in back but there were no rollies near the back elevator. I have a lot of items and its too far to walk in pain like this so I pulled my car along side the wall about 100ft from where you enter the gate. I was in no ones way but he just had to say something. I get tired of explaining myself. Im a long time tenant, no issues and pay months in advance. I dont need to hear from this guy every time he sees me.

I had a great experience with Cindy and Bob at extra space. They both were very helpful! Especially in our situation having to rent a unit and cancel and then rent two others within one day. Customer service was amazing, very friendly and quick. Bob was kind enough to show us the unit and grab us a cart to move all of bigger items. Totally recommend renting a unit from here. I was very impressed by the website for beginners; it was straightforward with the pricing on the first page. I had been searching on Google for an hour for local storage near me and was continually routed to a another search result page with a plethora of storage options and had to go two and three pages deep and still no pricing. Good job ExtraSpace!When I called they answered, eureka!!! Bob, the manager was very helpful and did not rush the call. He cared about my situation. I quickly went to checkout the space and he was professional and intuitive to my need to save money and really spent time to get me situated.The accessibility to my items stored there are very convenient with the hours being 6am-10:00pm. It is clean and well appointed with big carts for easy moving. Thank you Bob.

Friendly and efficient. Bob and Sindy were very helpful and had me all taken care of in less than 30 minutes, including showing me where my storage unit is and how to load and unload items.

Bob was wonderful and helpful in getting us our storage unit. He kindly called after I started an online application and clarified any questions I had and explained a lot about the unit. He even offered to let us tour it and showed us a few options so we knew exactly what they had and what we were getting. He was friendly and conversational as we toured the facility. Sindy in the office was also super friendly and engaging.The facility itself is very secure and has great size elevators. They also have loading carts that are very convenient. Location is great. We’re happy with the price and value.

Edit: 4 months after entering into my agreement, my monthly rent increased 54%!!! I was paying $160/mo which is $20 less than their market rate on their website, but they increased it to $247/mo, stating market rate as the reason. Rate increases always occur, but even public storage won’t bend you over like these guys.Great customer service!!! Bob was extremely helpful finding a unit that worked for me. Units were limited due to college student moving in for the summer, so the units available were oddly shaped. Bob walked me around and showed me several options. At the end of day, Bob figured out a solution that met my needs. Cindy was also key in getting everything put together. “Relax. Bob’s got it.”

We called ahead of time and was connected to the call center, where they told us there was an avaliable storage unit. The lady on the phone didnt let the business know we were coming for the unit, so while we were on the way to the building, the unit had been rented out to someone else. When we got there the manager checked through the building himself to see if there was a vacant unit for us, which he found on the second floor and let us rent it out. Very helpful

Place has seen better days, but the service is very helpful and polite. Best price around. There may be nicer facilities around, but the service and price are about the best value I could find.

My studio I was renting has toxic mold, my landlord found this storage unit, the place is very clean, actually spotless, it’s gated and easy access to all units, Jared was very friendly and knowledgeable, made the process very pleasant . I’d recommend this storage space to anyone !

Accommodations are fine. However a manager felt the need to reprimand me for making a drop off close to closing hours. I told her I understood the policy and it would not happen again because I had been experiencing an emergency, she behaved as if I spoke another language and kept repeating herself and threatened my contract. I’m not sure I’m enjoying this experience within my first week let alone being locked in for 6 months at a subpar rate for not what feels like first rate accommodations. I understand not having ac, but that third floor is unreasonably hot and the walk from the elevator is anything but close. Extra space storage has me feeling like a 3rd class customer and definitely aren’t making me feel like they appreciate my business. At least the storage room has high clearance…

They raised my rate 66% from $132 to $201/month after 3 months. Their web site shows they are currently renting the same size unit I have for the same rate I was paying initially. They never said anything about a move-in rate. Im out of town as a travel nurse being screwed over for the next four months by these lowballing ripoff artist.

Tony was first class in his customer service. He was courteous and professional. Plus, even with the units in an area that’s not always the safest in San Diego (Midway District) I was impressed by the lack of crime on their property. It seems very secure. We rented both a unit and parking spot for a vehicle. I would recommend Extra Space.
