It was a little pricey but so worth it as my husband and I are over 60 and have difficulty moving boxes and heavy furniture. The only thing I regret is that we were not the first move of the day in fact they didn’t get to us until 5 o’clock in the evening and by the time we got everything moved it was close to nine. Pretty long day.But I have to say the movers were so gracious they were extremely polite and professional. I’ve never seen anything so organized and moved so quickly. Thank you both

Be Aware!! The 5 star reviews are not authentic. They canceled my scheduled move on the same day after 2 hours the scheduled time. I had to turn in my unit the same day. I was not able to even find a Uhaul since it was too late in the day. Had to pay penalty to the lanlord. After all that I had to fight to get my 100 deposit from move central. Be aware!

Please, whatever you do, dont use move central!Ive moved 20 times over the past 30 years. Ive moved internationally, cross country and cross town. Ive moved in the back of an Army deuce and a half (probably against regulations). I know moving.And I can say without hesitation that moving with move central was the worst move - and probably one of the worst experiences - of my life.They lied about how the move would happen. They charged for things they didnt do. Items like my two wheeler disappeared. They drove their truck off the edge of my driveway and tore up the yard. When they got to our new house they dumped everything in the front yard because the guys driving the semi were late turning in their rental. It got dark and they left. We had to pay out of pocket to get guys to come back and finish the move. They did thousands of dollars worth of damage - including to a brand new, one of a kind $18k dining room table. And after all that they paid us $500.PLEASE choose a different company.

Worst Moving Experience Ever.1. They picked up our boxes and furniture and drove off. Then a day later emailed and called us notifying us that they did not have a drop off crew and would have to delay our delivery.2. Moving into our new home they damaged the wood floors, the stairwell drywall, broke our dining table, broke our master bed, and other damages including staining carpet. Their damage to our new home was heinous. The movers were slow and most likely under the influence of narcotics.DO NOT USE MOVE CENTRAL. We dealt with MARTIN ANGEL in trying to reach a settlement. Utter joke. They agreed to terms then backed out.

Im grateful to this company for assisting me with my relocation. I had already packed my belongings, but the boxes were too heavy for me to lift by myself. Then I called them, and they assisted me in carefully lifting all of the boxes. They take excellent care of my belongings during the move. It was a pleasure to work with them. Thank you a lot!

Do not recommend. Hired for packing and moving, from 600 sq ft to a new home 2.5 miles down the road. My old place was left with damaged floors, my new place has holes in the walls, scratches on my brand new floors, grease and footprints on my brand new carpet and broken or ruined items. I was quoted $120 an hour for two “experienced” movers, and a “small fee” to cover the supplies used. My bill after 5 hours was nearly $2,000. None of the boxes are labeled, heavy items are packed on top of breakables, enough bubble wrap to cover the city was used for one small plastic frame, but not a single stitch of bubble wrap was used to separate my glass shelving from the two wood table tops it rubbed up against. If I hire professionals to make my life easier, that’s exactly what I expect. That is NOT what I got.

WARNING if you are moving DON’T use MOVE CENTRAL Movers!MOVE CENTRAL moved us this year. What a mistake! In our opinion, we were robbed. The Carlsbad PD said it’s not criminal theft if someone has a signed contract to take possession of your belongings in the 1st place. It’s a civil case. A consulting attorney from this arena said this happens “all the time” and lawyers generally aren’t interested in claims under $10,000. Are you using movers? Don’t use MOVE CENTRAL, San Diego! Did you know that if you don’t have a signed list of every item a mover takes you have no proof that they took it? Photos/videos don’t count. That means that every item in taped boxes is at risk as boxes can be opened (even enroute to your new house), rifled through, and items taken with ease. We learned a lesson. MOVE CENTRAL fouled up their schedule, didn’t complete our move on the contracted day. We insisted they finish ASAP due to new owners moving in. It took 3 days! The supervisor at MOVE CENTRAL yelled at my husband, “You can’t even prove we took anything of yours!” We felt extremely threatened by that. Lo and behold, the return load—we are now missing several valuable collectibles (2 large old stained-glass lamps, & several other collectibles & lamps), our flat screen TV was crushed, small appliances and Revere cookware pieces gone, several pieces of pottery smashed, bent and dirtied several lampshades with wet, dirty garden hoses they threw on top of them. In addition, the bank would not even consider nonpayment to them, despite photos of the destruction. MOVE CENTRAL flatly denied their unconscionable behavior (full complaint can be viewed at the Better Business Bureau website). But beware if you are using any movers. Check the BBB website for complaints for any business you want to use, obviously reviews aren’t always reliable. Also, check your homeowner’s insurance ahead of time if you’re storing your belongings to do remodeling—they may not be covered there, as a friend of mine recently found out when her storage unit was burglarized.I wouldnt trust MOVE CENTRAL even if they were the last movers on Earth.

I had a few items to move so the entire move took 45-minutes.Even with a 3 hour minimum charge for the entire move, the movers did not take the time to disassemble the bed frame.The bed frame wooden panels were breaking off while the movers carried the frame down the stairs.4 wooden panels also came off while moving the frame across the lawn.The entire move took 45-minutes. DO NOT USE THEM! Very dishonest about pricing. Scheduled a move for Oct 22nd and told them everything that was going to be apart of the move and received an hourly quote. Day of my wife received a call from on of their movers Mel who was extremely rude to her and was being completely unprofessional. They also told us they werent going to be able to make it that day and needed to reschedule til the next day Oct. 23rd. This was extremely inconvenient because this was our last day of the lease and we had scheduled our move with them over a week in advance. On the 23rd they sent out their team and once they got to our house, they told us it was going to be an extra $250 each for a safe and dresser which we had already previously told them about (weight, dimensions, etc) and were never told was going to be an extra charge over the phone. After negotiating with their customer service they were not able to honor their original hourly charge which was supposed to already include these items since we mentioned them upfront. We cancelled the service and told the movers to leave. Now they do not want to refund me back the deposit because we cancelled the move ourselves. These guys take no responsibility for their timeliness, lack of communication, being upfront, and just operating with integrity. We ended up using Best Fit Movers and received a way cheaper quote. Come to find out the owners of Best Fit Movers and Move Central are relatives. Now it makes sense why they no longer are the same company. Long story short do not use these guys, save yourself the money and headache of dealing with this extremely unprofessional company.

The company was able to accommodate all of our needs. The movers were friendly, quick, very respectful and extremely helpful. They were careful with our furniture and very nice. We were very happy with the assistance and service!

The quality of service (if you could even call it quality) was so severely lacking -- if you can, hire movers from literally anywhere else.For the thousands of dollars I wasted with these guys, I received:- Movers who arrived several hours later than promised because they were sent from the San Diego location instead of the orange county location closer to my home despite verifying my destination multiple times with reps. I called about this and was basically just told “oops, our bad, don’t know how that happened”- Movers were not careful at all and broke several items of furniture simply moving them to and from the trucks, nothing broke in transit. I literally saw each item broken in front of me. Nearly all of my furniture was damaged in the end in some manner.- The movers behaved extremely unprofessionally and were harassing women around our new neighborhood- Customer service was absolutely horrible, I tried to file a claim for damages and it took weeks to try and get a hold of anyone to help me, I had to file my claim multiple times because these guys clearly don’t keep track of their business- The claim when finally processed didn’t even come close to covering the amount of damages done. You’ll get pennies for the damage and even though they say they’ll send someone to fix your furniture if possible —it’s a total lie, I was told my stuff could be fixed but then they came back and said they couldn’t shortly after…If you are looking for a good moving experience, you will absolutely NOT find it with Move Central. I wasted my time and money, don’t waste yours.

From the moment I called for an estimate to the last box being unloaded from the truck it was a great experience. I spoke with different people on the phone and everyone of them were personable and upbeat. The 2 movers we got were professional and such a great combo. We’ve had movers before and there is usually one that is not on point as the other. This was NOT the case here. They communicated well, explained things to us and if we had a question or were not sure about something they didn’t hesitate to get us on the line with the headquarters. I spoke to Juan Carlos who seemed pleasant to deal with. Received my quote signed and even got a confirmation email the night before. The day of the window was 8-10 am from Loma Linda to LA. I called at 9:42 am to inquire when to expect the movers. I was told the movers can not move my furniture until the next day. And then after some words... the rep hung up on me. I requested my $100 deposit returned I was told since I did not cancel within 72hr even though the issue was their drivers not showing up or calling or emailing that I can not get my deposit back. Then I spoke with Martin who said I can accept the move for oct 2 for a compensation of 5% off the total service and after more words told me hed accept paying the fees I would be charged for staying another night when I already transferred my Utilities. When I returned the call agreeing if the compensation was satisfactory for the companies mistake only for Martin to tell me they could not move me until Sunday and they will take up to $90 off my total bill. I declined and requested my refund. And was told to call back. All these conversations were recorded! When I called back to again request my refund while I was at my new apartment negotiating the inconvenience, I was told the moving truck was at my old apartment ready to load again with not notification no call no nothing and still no one has returned my call or email to refund my deposit. This is the rudest most unreliable company I ever encountered with lack of customer service skills. Yes I was angry but well within my right because of the lack of communication as empathy on this companys part. Never again. Call Less 4 Movers instead

Their quality made them worth the money. The company moved my boxes to Moms apartment once more. I found them to be very helpful during my move. In addition to packing, shifting, and unpacking all my boxes, the team also performed the moving.

Our move was very smooth. The crew members were very professional through out the moving process. They showed up at the right time at both the location. I wish they could have provided a 3 member crew since at the destination location apartment was at 3rd floor with no lift so it is challenging for 2 member crew to move things.

I have moved 5 times for work to 3 different countries. This is the worst service of them all. Unprofessional, took much longer than quoted. Flipped my file cabinet while full. Ask for feedback in front of the crew, the crew left insulting me. Definitely would not recommend. They said that if I was too cheap to use movers, would be better off doing it by myself. They do not care for you or your stuff at all.

Move Central’s reservation and marketing dept. is very good. They definitely sound confident and super friendly. The rate at $125 for two movers is pretty high. I was expecting super movers working very fast. But they seemed a little sluggish, and still took 6 hours to do the job. My last move a year ago was exactly the same amount of work, took two movers 6 hours to finish, but that company only charged $95 per hour. So paying higher rate this time made no difference, only more expensive. Over all they did a good job.

Friendly movers ...not so good on the packing. I was charged 900 for packing materials when I had already provided packing materials. I was living in a 1300 sq foot house and I had already packed some things...I was trying to figure out how this happened and when the movers arrived to deliver my belonging i found about 15 unused boxes. I also found that the my belongings were not packed carefully or according to type. For example, there fragile dishes packed in large boxes with other random items. I had at least 5-7 small boxes that were appropriate for dishes still unused. The dishes were consequently broken when we were unpacking. I also spoke with 2 different dispatchers...one of which was extremely rude on the phone...the only reason i continued with the move at that point was that we had sold one home in SD and were ready to receive keys to our new home in Northern Cali the next day...wont recommend this company for to anyone moving. This was my 4th home purchase and move...while these guys were not the worst, I still wouldnt use them again as they proved to be unprofessional and not the experts we needed for packing and loading.

WORST moving company ever!!! Super unprofessional, and the move took much longer than quoted. The crew who unloaded our furniture took hours longer than expected and damaged our expensive, brand new furniture. They damaged our wood floors, stained our clean carpet and took chunks of dry wall out of our walls. Meanwhile, they said they would four guys and only three showed up. Company did not care about the terrible service / home damage we experienced. Definitely would not recommend!!! Also, our move was DELAYED because THEY COULDNT FIND A CREW.

We hired move central for a move from a studio in SD to an apartment in LA. Move central was on top of it and handled everything swiftly. We did not need help packing. Our movers, TI and Robert were very fast and were able to disassemble a queen bed and reassemble. I would recommend move central for all moving needs in SoCal.

I utilized them to move furniture and gym equipment into my storage unit. There were a number of issues that I have tried to resolve with them but have not heard back.I provided pictures of every item to the sales person. He stated only 2 items required a heavy item charge. After the move I was charged for 6 additional heavy items.Sales person misjudged how much storage would be needed so I had to scramble that day to find additional storage.Estimate did not list out the cost of the packing materials. As others have pointed out, they use way more packing materials than is needed. My packing materials cost was almost as much as the labor.The crew wrapped two items that were not on the list. They also damaged the property and did not inform me.They billed for labor that didnt occur.They left items behind.They overcharged the final bill and have not made the correction.

They got me to agree to the move. I specifically asked for total charges, but after the move, they give me the invoice charging me for bubble wrapping ($150 by the way), tape, boxes, etc, etc. It was $500 more than I expected.They were on time and had all of the equipment - it was expensive from the beginning, but I was fine with that because I thought Id just pay a bit more and not get nickeled and dimed. I will never use them again, and I would space yourself.2 bedroom apartment took 5 1/2 hours with 3 workers. I moved less than a mile down the street.

These guys were the best and I mean the absolute best. They moved my elderly mom from one side of Laguna Woods to the other.The issue is these buildings are far from any unloading area so extreme long walks and navigating stairways we finally finished. I initially spoke to Alfred, shopped around a bit and then called him back to book the move. So many other companies wanted all sorts of ridiculous fees tacked on for this and that. But not with Move Central.I was emailed and called several times before our move asking if there was anything else that needed to be included.I spoke to Hector the day before to cinch up all details.Day of the move they followed my instructions and drove right to the storage unit.My husband met them, was impressed with their work and handling of some very delicate packed antiques, Crystal, and China.They easily moved my husbands huge and very heavy tool box.Alfred had arranged a van with a lift gate for no extra charge.All in all it was superb service! There were no hidden charges, and no monkey business.I would defiantly use them again and highly recommend them to all.Thanks Move Centra! 😄

The movers were careless and lazy. They stopped and took and hour for lunch knowing that they were still being paid. Mostly boxes; a couple of bikes etc.The Pros:The two gentlemen that did the actual move (Juan & did not get the other mans name) were very polite; responsive; and quick, they did not waste time.All our boxes arrived safely with no damage.The Cons:After many positive discussions with our sales person Cesar I assumed our quoted timeframe would be honored - it was not! I was told 8 am - 10 am. After conversations with Cesar and Carlos (dispatcher) and Josh (confirmation night before) they said not a problem they would be there closer to 8 am as requested (I had many obligations that day). Long story but after MANY calls they arrived at 11:30.I do not blame Juan - when he arrived at the warehouse in the morning our truck was full and he and his partner had to unload before coming to us! I blame the company for this lapse in coordination and feel our job was not considered important enough or costly enough (approximately $3000) for them to care.

I will definitely recommend their services to everyone I know. They have been the most amazing people I could call to get my moving and shifting done in such a stress-free manner.

The one item I asked to provide they forgot.Then they proceeded to pack at a snails paceThere was no mechanism to check or get them to move fasterThey completely underestimated the time for the move and it was 4 times more expensive for the same move within the same area for a 2 bedroom apartmentWhen I realized that they were way begging time and tried to discuss with someone in charge I was in for a surprise:The office was disorganized, and unavailable. No one was in charge and no one took responsibilityWill never use them again.I gave them two stars because they die not break too many things, even though I am still unpacking

This is the third time I’ve used Move Central. Last two times were for in town move. This time I hired them to load up my U-Haul for long distance move. As usual, it was easy to set up online. I received a call back to confirm almost immediately. The day before my move, they called again to confirm timing and what needed to be done. James and Javier showed up on time and were fast, professional, and helped me stuff my belongings into the too small U-Haul I was stuck with and my minivan. I can’t say enough great things about these guys and Move Central in general. Definitely recommend!!

Scheduled a move for a Sunday afternoon and the movers didnt show up at all. No response from their dispatch after I was on hold for 40 minutes. Never trust these scam artists!
