Poor customer service and installation damaged my Window sills, baseboards soaked my wall paper couch and carpet. We still dont know if the leak has damaged the frame of the house.We had brand new Milgard Windows installed and now they leak from poor installation. Owner doesnt back poor installation of 2 Milgard windows.Milgard who was thorough and excellent came out and inspected the Windows and verified there are no defects in the windows and the leak was caused by installation error.This leak and a previous leak has warped and ruined our window sill, base boards, and wall paper. The couch and carpet we will have to wait to see once they dry out. All were previously installed by professionals. This leak us to discover a previous leak we didnt even notice due to our curtains blocking the frame and sill of our other window. It is quite clear that there was previous water damage from a leak and poor installation just by looking with your eyes.Hank, who I believe is the owner told me over the phone that he would come out to inspect to see if the leak was from my roof. He never looked at anything, then told me he said over the phone that he would seal the leak after I pointed out the damage that was created. He told me he wouldnt fix or make a claim to repair the damage. Then basically blamed me for the leak by stating I am supposed to maintain the calk around the window. I was shocked by that response. If i am supposed to maintain the calk then why dont the my other windows leak? As an example of how absurd his response was; my parents had windows put in over 10 years ago and never had to re-calk the windows or had a leak. His company didnt install them.He didnt offer any solution to the damage in the house. Just gave me excuses. Then his assistant asked if my facia rock was just installed hinting at that, as if it were a new installation and whoever did that was at fault. I clearly stated that it was the original work when the house was built and never leaked in 20 years at the house.Hank basically got in his truck and left not providing any solution to the damage his poor quality installation caused. I will be contacting my contractor to let him know about this issue and his companies poor quality installation and customer service. I hope this doesnt happen to you.
