It was worth the price. Basically you can choose any base flavor or ask them to mix the flavors and they make ice cream rolls. At time of pick up you can add as many topping as you like
This place is awful. $11 for an ice cream and they don’t even make it in front of you. My ice cream was pulled from the back and all melted by the time they got to the toppings. It wasn’t even rolled anymore and no one else was in the store. Waste of money and rude employees. Just get regular ice cream cuz honestly it’s the same.
Takes forever. Too sweet. Row product made in China
Very ill behaved staff! The girl at the cash is terrible and barks at guests! Terrible etiquette! Doesnt follow the rule of lines. And terrible hygiene! A place not what it used to be before. Despite being Willow Glen residents, never going there again. Feel terrible for the people who are eating there.
A little pricy for what you get but overall the flavor of the ice cream is much better than the other place in willowglen
Expensive ($11) but if you share with one other person and you really like creamy icecream its worth it
To be honest, I couldnt tell you about their product, because we didnt wait long enough to find out. There were several groups of people, waiting outside, and a sign on the door, explaining that only one order at a time was allowed indoors. We waited until it was our turn to order, although I noticed that the group in front of me seemed relatively unhappy, and told me to be prepared to wait.Turns out, after standing at the register for over five minutes, while the two employees worked on an order, one of them finally took the time to tell me to wait outside.I explained that I was fine with that, I just wanted to place my order. She told me to wait outside, and she would call me when it was my turn to order! I dont mind waiting for my order, because they were busy, but waiting to place my order, so I could wait even longer was just too much!We left, and went to Cream, instead.
Very yummy ice cream. Quality was awesome. I appreciate their work and I will come here again.
First time Ive been there in a long time. It did not disappoint.
Good ice cream! They made and served it quite quickly too. We went for the Nutella/banana icecream, but they had run out of bananas. So, had the Ferrari icecream instead. Quite good taste, but not as good as the Nutella/banana one.Great service! We went a few minutes prior to closing and the staff were very patient and helpful. It was nearing 10:30pm and quite late, and I am pleased at their patience.
Its honestly one of the best ice creams Ive had in a long time. Weve been there four times, but I believe well return before the end of our vacation. Great ice cream, lovely place, and lovely employees.
Very good On the price though bit exspensive
Loved the unlimited toppings, just a little pricy. $10.50 for a bowl is a lot for desert.
This is the first time I had this kind of ice cream. It was something new and unique but I prefer Cold Stone
Delicious ice-cream, but the places is always full and younhave to wait almost 20 minutes.
Ideal place for your first date.... girlfriend went goo goo gaa gaa after I got her ice cream :) Thanks guysWent there again after a few dates and...... she loved the ice cream! 10/10 would recommend!
Four stars mainly because they have ube and avocado ice cream flavors. Pretty tasty, but rather expensive for what it is.
This was fine although maybe a bit of a gimmick. There is no actual ice cream here, its all made on the spot using condensed milk that is mixed with ingredients on a frozen plate. Its a fun show to watch them make it and a unique presentation to see it wrapped up. But its 2-3x the cost of getting an actual ice cream and I didnt think the taste was worth it.Also note that it takes about 5 minutes for each one to be made so prepare for a wait if there are people ahead of you in line.Something to try once, I probably wont go back.
Wear a mask and warm clothes outside waiting area can get chilly 2nd time & it was worth the wait!!
Expensive for the amount they give. Really busy sometimes, and have to wait to order, and wait to get your order. Cream was alright, toppings was the thing that saved my trip.
A great experience for live ice creams. I’ve never seen ice cream made in front of me. The Strawberry flavor (number 7) on the menu was really good. The lines are short from 12 PM to 1 PM on holidays but grows out of proportion as it hits 1 PM. There’s very limited seating so make sure that you have a backup plan. Usual wait times can be half an hour to an hour.
Ordered all fudged up and it was yumm!!!
Icicles was a fun experience but a little pricey for an ice cream. All desserts are the same price but there are a number of flavors to choose from. I got the chocolate fudge with brownies. All toppings are free which is great so I got brownie bites and sweetened condensed milk on top. Buying 2 cost $17 but it was pretty big that I think I would share if I went here again.
So even though I used to stay in Willow Glen a lot I am way late to the party on Icicles. I just always avoided it due to the insane line. However we were out for a drive recently and decided to stop in. I mean, its Covid right now so.. plenty of time on our hands...and it was a warm summer night so why not. Although the shop was pretty busy as usual, everyone was good about distancing and mask-wearing.We ordered one Nutella and Chill and one Strawberry Fantasy and waited outside for about 10 minutes until they were ready. We added a few toppings (whipped cream and captain crunch for me because hell yea captain crunch, people) and we sat outside to enjoy.I could only finish half of mine but it was really delicious and I loved the fresh strawberries in particular. Everyone was in a good mood, too and it was a nice little pick me up during these crazy times. Super fun. Highly recommend.
My kids & I love this place ❤️ & the staff always has super amazing energy 🥰🥰
Freshly made icecream with vegan and regular options.
If you are depressed, dont eat out of that Dreyers ice cream bucket at home. Go out to Icicles! This is a fun stop and I would bring a visitor craving ice cream here! They call your name and you get to watch these energetic people with big arms make your icicle.OK! So you go in and choose one from their menu (oreo, matcha, strawberry, etc). All of them are $7.Then you wait for one of the 6 people to call your name and you get to watch them make liquid into icicle rolls. Then you get to say all the toppings you want on your icicle. Apparently, its unlimited, but I dont understand how thats possible. Its a colorful happy environment with a colorful icicle in a white cup.You know those people that take pictures of everything before eating, thatll be you.Ok, so why 4 stars? The icicle is really just ice cream or gelato. Youll know what I mean when you start eating it. The taste is nothing unique and $7 for ice cream is pricey. I would come back to share the experience with someone, but I wouldnt say the taste is better than other ice cream.
The ice cream is a little too creamy for my liking, liked the toppings like lychee and strawberries are yum. But a couple of their ice creams are really famous - the avocado one and the fudge chocolate one too. (3.5 stars, not really a 4)
Really small portion and no customer service.
It’s okay if you’re looking for a novelty. I found the texture to be off- gummy and sticky, almost like whipped cream that’s been whipped too long. Price was pretty high...$9 for a small cup of ice cream. I probably won’t go back.
I give this place double thumbs up. Service is consistently above par. Prices that wont shock you.
Quantity in one bowl was less than we expect.
Meh, it was OK. There is definitely a huge hype for rolled ice cream nowadays with the viral social media outlets, hence why we came to give this place a try. The line was out the door and wrapped around the sideway into the little parking lot, so expect to wait a bit before getting your ice cream fix. We waited maybe 45 minutes, Ive heard others have had 2 hour waits. I ordered the Matcha Green Tea but they screwed up the order and made the Strawberry Fantasy flavor for me instead, no biggie, I like Strawberry. For toppings, I added more strawberries, bananas, condensed milk, and Nutella. Honestly I thought the ice cream was just alright, tastes like most ice cream except maybe on the heavier side. So much richness packed into a $7 bowl. Maybe I didnt get the right flavor combinations, maybe there are better ones out there, but for the price and the super long wait, I probably would not come back. Would settle for a cone anywhere else or a tub from Safeway.
Had ice cream here recently. They have a huge selection of flavors! The milkshakes are great and definitely make sure to try to fudge, which is rich and homemade. Worth it if youre a chocolate ice cream lover as they have SO many chocolate flavor options.
It was a first experience with Icicles. Very tasty creamy ice cream. We went a Monday early evening and there was a continuous influx of people. However, no line up. Lots of staff and it was running quick.Few potential improvements:-Fix the water machine. It is sweet, hence without water can keep an aftertaste.-limited place to sit. There is about 6 tables, but that place is popular thus hard to get a place.-price is high. About 9$ per person and no kid option. We shared ours, but I can see that in a few years that wont be an option hence wont be able to come back.Overall, very satisfied because of the delicictable treat and would recommend for a special occasion.
Very very Bad service Nobody is talking in any way. Talking to someone is not giving an properly answer. You made me wait 25 minutes for two items.
Tiktok got me 🤫
Super busy on a Sunday night, but so good!
Went during covid times. Been here couple times before.. nice place to get those roll ups . Love the fudged up and oreo roll ups with some yummy toppings.. (love the almond topping).During covid they have hand sanitizer and they were also providing free mask bags(not sure of its purpose), only 4 people inside the shop at any given time. Doing a good job, not a lot of crowd outside. People wearing masks and maintaining distance.
Such a fun and yummy place!!
Icicles is a great new take on the old ice cream thing. They combine freshly made ice cream (which is great in itself) but then add in the fresh toppings and how they create rolls of super cold ice cream = some great dessert. The location is very nice and free parking nearby makes it easy.Due to the process, the line can get crazy long. So probably a good idea to allow four some patience. Since its dessert, that shouldnt be too bad.Looking forward to my next visit to try another flavor!
Delicious and very nicely presented ice cream, fast service, reasonable prices!
This was precisely the time of year to indulge, and boy did I! What made it so enjoyable? The line was just long enough to make it worth the wait, and the team, as it says at the entrance, was like a well-oiled machine! Absolutely delicious (I had the #17) especially with their unlimited toppings! Dont wait for the Summer!
Amazing ice cream shop, highly recommend well worth the higher price.
Employees preferred acknowledging doordash pre orders and ignoring customers in the store. I would not recommend going to this shop as the employees are lazy and did not even bother to tell me it would be a few minutes. After waiting for 15 minutes I just walked out. Would recommend any other store for ice cream
Sunday - been waiting here for 40 minutes and still no ice cream. The place is packed inside and out & multiple orders are taking extra long to fulfill. Especially since they make each icicle instead of scooping an ice cream from a tub. Slow without a line, 10x slower with a line. 9 bucks for one ice cream. If you want to experience the exoticism of a rolled up ice cream and spend 9 dollars, go right ahead. Theres a lot of customization available which also takes extra time. If you are looking for an ice cream shop thats simple, slick, and fast, this is not the place.
I was not expecting this to be sooo good!I thought it’s just about the gimmick of how they make the ice cream in front of you, but both the flavor and the taste is just perfect! Highly recommended.
Great ice cream. Lots of flavors. Popular with the younger crowd..
I dint liked the sorbet flavor in ice creams.
Great place. The service was friendly and helpful. We tried the #5 which has the Oreo Cookie mix.It was delicious and fun to watch them make it. We also added toppings which just made it even better. The downside is that its a bit pricey, for three orders we paid more than 26.00! The shop is very small so youll either take your order to go or sit on the benches outside. Even with the price and limited seating issue we would go back. Definitely give out a try.
Very yummy. I love that toppings are not extra. Wait time is long. Line is usually long. Not much seating and the only tables are outside.
Staff was very rude to my 13 year old daughter. Instead of greeting her they told her to shush(finger over his month). Never asked her what flavor she wanted. Given vanilla & then put a sprinkle of toppings. Waste of $$$
The. Best. Coconut ice cream! Fresh toppings and a fun experience for out of town guests. Plan to wait in line for 20+ minutes (more on a busy night). They have a dairy free option as well.
We stopped here after my sons basketball tournament, picked up our teen goddaughter and ordered a total of five different types of ice cream creations. All of us enjoyed our unique orders. It wasnt even as crowded as the last time we came. Mine: Coconut, vanilla yogurt with toasted coconut, chocolate syrup drizzle and toasted almond bits. Soooo delicious. Tasted my sons Oreo cookie one. Also delicious. Will come back many more times.
$11 for an ice cream. Seriously!!??
Fun place with ice cream done SE Asian style (I think?). Lots of cool flavors and combinations. Theres only 1 size so share or eat a lot. Unlimited toppings, too. I have only been here once but am looking forwards to trying a different flavor next time.
So delicious!! They call your name once youve ordered, and make the ice cream right in front of you. You then get to pick as many toppings as you wish - Pretty good selection. If you love chocolate and banana like I do - Try Nutella! They do have non-dairy ice cream.
