I really like this store, my whole family always comes here to buy Latin American things that they dont have in many stores. This time I came with some friends and we had some beers, the cashier asked for my ID, I showed it to her and she didnt want to sell me the beers because my ID was fake until she was taught well how to look at the dates and years in which I turned 21 she was very rude and I threw my ID and fell on the floor this had never happened to me in this store whenever I came here they treated me very well the cashiers are very kind I do not understand what happened that day but they should teach their employees to know the dates when someone is over 21 years old.

Love the tickets shows the originating country of the goods. Helps a lot for us to learn about new tasty food.

Everything I require is available in the store, and everything is reasonably priced. I enjoy shopping there for meat, canned goods, and other items.

This market used to be my favorite!! I would go in early to get the Gordita with the rotisserie chicken. It was one of the most delicious things I’ve ever eaten. Since covid, they no longer provide prepared food. But if you have a craving for a food or drink from a Latin American country, this is your favorite lace to go in San Jose. I hope they start serving food again soon!!

Its been my first visit today, and its certainly not going to be my last! Really nice service, theyve got a little bit of everything. I was shocked by all the items they were offering. The staffs were so welcoming and friendly. The room was so spacious as well as the aisle. Im so excited to be shopping in this store again.

The reason I loved this store was a huge and spacious grocery store. I like coming in here because of their fresh vegetables, fish, meat and fruit. The salad section was huge. They had all sorts of salad. You cant get confused here because the mark is transparent and visible to read. Wonderful store!

Best place to buy Argentine foods in the area

I remember this spot from my childhood. It is okay, but could use some love. They have plenty of parking but not enough land so youll be parking at an awkward slant.

This grocery store near our house is one of my favorites because it sells a wide range of new fruits and vegetables! And what I like about this store is that they still make sure that the latest models are on sale, rather than the outdated ones! Your one stop shop for latin grocery needs. I came looking for Guava paste, not only do they carry it but they had a few different sizes and brands. Each isle is catagorised by country.

Its a family style market and deli, not Safeway so keep that in mind. The product line is geared toward the Latino community so you wont find fresh mushrooms for instance.And no shaving cream either, although they do sell razors. That curiosity cost them a star.

We love going to Chaparral since we always find all sort of merchandise from our home country. Its interesting how they rise prices ever time. They could do a better job at that.

The store is family owned and operated and i have been a customer for 35 yrs. Ive also watched the now manager Jesus grow up from a young boy. He is very personable and welcoming. The store offers a large variety of items catering yo the gispanic community. So if your looking for ethnic faire cgapparal is the place to go

They have tons of Spanish food and groceries at this place. La Raza has milk, though, and they take EBT, which means I can still shop there.

Produce is horrible. The meat isnt any better. They have a very good variety of beer.

One of the few supermarkets where you can find truly LATIN ingredients for your recipes than only mexican food. I found good things from Peru, Venezuela, Colombia, argentina. Highly recommended. Its expensive, but if you die for some food from your country, youll pay for that.

Good variety of products from all over Latin America. Only play Ive found that regularly carries Yerba Mate. They also have fresh produce, meats and herbs.

Ive been a customer since my family would bring me here as a child. This was once a lively, clean, friendly place with one of the best bakeries for fresh pan dulce, cookies, and bread. Sadly, Chaparral has fallen apart. Im unsure if it is under new ownership but between the flies, unfriendly staff, and the removal of the bakery, I only go there for speciality items that I prefer to order through Amazon. Bring back the bakery and clean up the Chaparral and they can be great again.

The besr central American super market in San Jose. Its kitchen has Topical Mexican antojitos and delicious pupusas.

They have a decent selection of Latin American food. I love their bakery. Silvia is hospitable and a great addition to Chaparral Supermarket.
