This yarn store is fantastic! And Ive known many yarn stores during my years of knitting. The newish owner has only had the shop for 2-3 years so ignore the negative reviews that are older. Ive never seen so much beautiful yarn and helpful accessories in a yarn shop before and new yarn comes in all the time. All high quality yarn but not all is expensive. The staff are very helpful. Watch out though, your stash might start growing!

A local friend brought me to this shop while I was visiting San Jose over the weekend. It’s a nice shop with a good selection of yarns at a variety of price points. The service was friendly but not overbearing, available but not omnipresent. I’ll plan to visit again on future trips to the Bay Area.

First I want to start off by saying that the employees, The two ladies running the store, were fantastic. Theyre so friendly and helpful if you have any questions. My girlfriend is new to knitting and they helped her get started and explained everything that she would need and you could tell that they really care about the hobby which is something I respect about any store. I dont know much about yarn myself but the selection looks incredible and theres some stuff there that makes me want to pick up the hobby as well.

It is a lovely store with friendly & helpful staff to welcome you. One can ask for help regarding their projects. They hold classes too and the schedule can be found in their website.

Had a great experience at Fillory today. They were patient with all my newbie questions and had beautiful yarns if your willing to be flexible as it’s the end of winter season yarns. I had no issue finding multiple awesome projects. They also adhere to strict CDC guidelines and only allow a handful of clients inside at a time.

Since COVID started, Fillory has been a lifesaver for buying yarn online. When I order something that is in stock they usually ship it within the same day, and its at my doorstep the next afternoon with the mail - amazing! When its not in stock I can call or email and special-order it. The staff is friendly and gets excited when I show them what I will make (or after I make it!) - I love this shop and am so glad theyre getting enough support to make it through the pandemic.

Great variety of yarn! A bit on the expensive side, but its obviously because of the quality they have. Hospitable ladies :)

I was so impressed with how they were available during all the shelter in place and having the videos for everyone. I am so looking forward to being able to shop again and look through all the new merchandise. Love how friendly and nice everyone is.

Went there yesterday and the woman working (maybe owner?) was extremely rude to my partner, asking him if he actually wanted to buy anything prior to letting him enter. We had already been waiting outside the shop for nearly 10 minutes but she wanted to let someone who was behind us in line in first, so rude.Basically all of the yarn is wool, which I dont use, so there wasnt any selection at all. Overall underwhelmed and not impressed.

Why do I love it? They have a friendly, knowledgeable staff. Social knitting is welcome with ample space. And the yarn is yummy. Its good for me that they arent closer or I would have no money left for groceries!

I stopped in on my vacation, because whats a road trip without yarn. The ladies were wonderful and very helpful! I got a beautiful crochet hook and soft cotton yarn and I am looking forward to working up a light airy shawl.

This is definitely a gem in the South Bay. They have a great selection of malabrigo yarns, kits of all kinds, and an area for knitters to gather and knit together.I love that I don’t have to go all the way to San Francisco to get some quality yarn in South Bay.

Great experience as always. It is not just about yarn selection, it is about staff (-: Revisited this store after almost 1 year, it is renamed yes, but spirit remains the same. Like this place is cursed to be good. Much thanks to the lady who saved my day with the extra wool, my elephant is almost done.

The employees were very helpful and very engaged with talking to us about all the yarns. Their recommendations were amazing and didnt feel like they were trying to push sales on us either. If I wasnt on a time crunch, I would stay in that store all day!

The ladies that run this shop are delightful! As a dude knitter, I sometimes worry going into new yarn/craft shops about judgey looks and unhelpful employees, and this was so not the case at Fillory! I look forward to future lunchtime visits and maybe some afternoons knitting with the other patrons!

I have been coming to Green Planet since they opened in Campbell. I have always been greeted warmly upon arrival and never pestered. They have a lovely selection of natural product yarns and some lovely knit up patterns you can try on too. This is my favorite yarn store!

Great service, great place to buy very nice yarn, has a bathroom, and knitting lounge and even a knit doctor to help you with any issues you run into. Highly suggest for knitters in the Bay Area.

Great selection of yarns with explanations, descriptions, fiber contents, etc. Knitting books, knitted samples, knowledgeable happy staff. I always visit here when I visit family in the area.
