Waited 3 weeks for a trumpet mouthpiece for it never to ship. I called to get assurance Id get it before my gig and when I called back they told me it still never left the store so I had to cancel the order. They didnt even care to contact me to give me details about the issue. Save your time and buy elsewhere.

At first I was skeptical about this place. I was not sure ifthey would carry the brands that I was looking for. It seemed like it is a small store in general, but after I met Eric I was proven wrong. They have a varied selection of S.E Shires trombones. They also have a vast selection of mouthpieces and cases. The customer service is phenomenal. Eric was kind enough to let us test Shires instruments, and even gave us valuable information on them. He knows his way around brass instruments and wood winds additionally. He is the reason why we bought Shires ! I watched him interact with other customers and he was as attentive to them as he was attentive to us.The store also sells many other brands and specialty instruments to buy from, including separate parts, like bells,slides,valve oil, etc.Overall this is the best music store I have went to and I highly recommend it to any player looking for musical instruments.

We have rented 2 instruments from this store, a flute and a violin. Both experiences have been great. The monthly fee is reasonable and the staff is very helpful.

This review is for an online purchase. Discussed with Eric Hand my needs, received a great deal, professional and courteous service all the way. Promptly shipped, well packaged. The only caveat I should mention, which is absolutely not their fault, UPS damaged the instrument in transit despite great packaging. Eric promptly initiated a replacement with Selmer. I would strongly recommend this place.

Park Avenue sells defected/used items as new. Do not buy an item from here and expect to return it if you find a problem with it. They tried to charge me over $500 in a restocking fee for an item that they shipped. Claimed they had photos of it undamaged but they never provided them. Had to file a credit card fraud report against them to recover the funds they decided to keep.

We bought a flugelhorn mouthpiece from Eric, and although there were some issues with the order, he stepped up and went out of his way to resolve the situation. We would definitely do business with him again.

The instruments are great. The attitude and service are not so much. Maybe it was just a bad day.

Lessons offered for private classes as well as group lessons to students of all ages. Versatile and patient teachers. All around well-rounded find in the neighborhood.

I have been coming here for years now and its great! Band rentals, sheet music, the Amazing Wall Of Reeds, its a real resource.I have rented band instruments here and if you are a kid or a big kid curious about playing an instrument its much cheaper to rent than to buy, and the first year of your rental fees go toward buying.I even like the location; caddy-corner from the Rosicrucian Museum.

Im sorry to say that I took my business somewhere else because the customer service over the phone was not helpful at all. I had to pry information about their products out of him. At The Starving Musician they helped me figure out exactly what I needed over the phone so that I could put it on hold and easily go and pick it up the same day.

They have a great selection, and a very clean store, however their customer service over the phone is lacking.Tl;dr -If you need something from them, go in because they will hang up on you whenever they feel like it.I brought my instrument in for maintenance and was told I would receive a call later that day about the details. I never got the call, and when I called back, no one knew my request.Also when I was talking with the repair person, the receptionist hung up on me before I could ask another question. When I called back, she claimed that I seemed finish, even though I hadnt said good bye or stated I was done asking questions.I do not think I will go back, and instead do my repairs else where.

He was very nice and kind to me. There was a problem with my sons trumpet. I brought it to this store, and he repaired within minutes.

Stefen did a wonderful job getting my Strat set up. Plays better than it has in years. Looking forward to continuing to have my guitars worked on here and I highly recommend Stefen for any work you need done.
