The coffee was great and the vibe of this spot was good but the food was not. To quote my friend who ordered breakfast burrito“ the hotel breakfast was better” it was soggy and salty. I ordered the monkey bread which other reviews called flavorful, it had almost no taste. I personally had no problem waiting a long time for my coffee but just A heads up don’t go there if you’re short on time.

The best! The day isnt complete with out a Carmel Sutra. All the house drinks are unique and amazing. The staff is always friendly and fun making your coffee buying experience a one of a kind. The price is unbeatable for the quality you receive. Try a house special, you wont regret it!

On the particular day that I visited, the staff seemed distracted and unhappy. There was no eye contact. There were no smiles. My food was left in the microwave - someone forgot to retrieve it. I felt sorry for the baristas. It was not a good vibe. I shall visit again soon to see if things have changed.

Good coffee. We got Caramel Sutra. It is on the sweet side. They have extensive foods menu here. Nice decoration. Great services. There are seating inside and outside. Wifi is available and fast enough

Monkey bread was so fresh and the flavors were amazing! Spinach and Feta croissant tasted buttery and great with every bite! Bagel Lox was so soft and fresh! Loved every bite!

Just had a lovely breakfast, while my car is being serviced. The coffee is great and the Moms Eggs breakfast (scrambled eggs with veges, bacon, cheese, avocado and salsa) delicious!

I just love that they sell a 24 oz and whenever I ask to have a breakfast burrito without bacon they are always friendly to offer avocado. Super busy and still very friendly, they answer the phone to take my order which helps accommodate having my puppy with me. Love the relaxing water fountain and shade, we definitely felt welcome 💕✨♿🐕🧘

If youre looking for a good find around SLO, Nautical Bean is quite the treasure. Needed a quick coffee fix without trying to go to a coffee chain and saw Nautical Bean a couple of blocks from the motel I was staying at.When I walked in it was an in-your-face of all the knick knacks and trinkets found all around. It was such a quirky, spacious, and relax atmosphere. For a coffee shop it had enough tables to do be a restaurant. There were old-school arcade machines and walls filled with many paintings and decor.My friend and I opted to get the Carmel Sutra (iced), a maple muffin, and a breakfast burrito. There was a wait time since there were a lot of people and a handful of people making drinks and food. Nothing too bad, we werent in any rush.First sip and bite made the wait justifiable. The Caramel Sutra was the perfect balance of coffee and sweetness, a little more coffee which I prefer. As for the maple muffin. . . O M G! The muffin was warmed up and that made all the difference in the world. The glaze was maple but I think the rest was a form of cinnamon. Whatever the combo, it was a wonderful combo! As for the breakfast burrito, it was perfect the way it was and it was also perfect to share.Everything was delicious, great in price, and the service was great.If youre traveling through SLO and need a pick-me up, sail your way to Nautical Bean. One of the hidden gems that you cant miss out on.

I find this place overpriced. I pay $3For an unsweet tea, it’s not even as crisp as McDonald’s and they’re charging a dollar, guys lol I have tried several menu items, the Carmel sutra was a $5 disappointment, all the Carmel is on the bottom and the coffee tastes like the beans were burned or something. Not my idea of a good cup of coffee, goofy skateboard version of Starbucks, same burnt coffee taste and overpriced drinks. The food is really good but while I was waiting in line today for 15 minutes for my $3 unsweet tea, I saw the food preparing worker sign for some veggies with the delivery guys pen then TOUCH BACON AND EGGS she had just put into the microwave 🤮 never washed her hands after that and made several more orders, an order slip also fell into the avocado slices 🤢Sooooo, I’m never wasting my money there again lol. So gross

Amazing service to any and all who go in! I ordered there Black and White Mocha and it is one of my favorite options. The interior decor makes you feel at home and the outside dining they provide gives an amazing feel during this difficult time of COVID-19 I would recommend it this over a Starbucks coffee because of the taste and service they provide!

The food was surprisingly good. I had a regular boring ol coffee, and that was great, too. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere bring it all together.Its nestled in with all the other shops in that block, so if youre driving by you may not immediately see it.

Drink recipes great. This location always has a mistake somehow. Very disappointed today my order was forgotten. Then made wrong. Employees made me feel I had no right to say anything. If I wasnt forgotten why did you give me a cup with no writing when you asked my name and wrote it in the cup? I work in hospitality too. Sometimes its better to say sorry then pretend nothing is amiss. 5 dollars of disappointment.

I got a pumpkin spice latte and a pumpkin muffin (basic, I know). They were good.-2 stars for the lady behind the counter. Watched her be incredibly rude to a few customers who had done nothing wrong. The drama was sort of entertaining, but the treatment wasnt acceptable.Edit: This was on February 25th. I havent been back since. Not trying to get anyone fired, but encouraging a more polite approach to customers would be nice.

Great coffee shop/sandwich shop. I am probably addicted to their fresh peanut butter cookies. Pleasant staff, clean bathrooms, and a floor plan that allows for private conversations or open areas. If you are in the area it is definitely worth scouting this great new spot.

We live just around the corner from nautical bean and its our favorite coffee shop! They make great coffee, but we particularly love their breakfast burritos. We go there at least once a week just to get a breakfast burrito. Their other food is tasty as well, and the staff is generally very friendly. The owner is there very often and make sure that the employees are doing a great job.

The coffee here is my favorite. Nutty Bean coffee is my favorite. Mothers eggs are declious. Warmed blueberry muffin and pumpkin muffin are my favorite. My daughter loved the chocolate muffin. Nice artwork. Internet environment. Long lines in the morning, order ahead of time.

I used to go to this one before the other one opened. I like this one, though I like their other location more. The other location is larger, which tends to meet my needs more. I have posted up and studied at this shop before, I just need space to spread out my math stuff and the other location tends to have a bit more room. Awesome place to grab a quick bite and a coffee qhile studying, reading, or meeting friends. There is often a rotation of local art on the wall. Small table seating inside, some bar seating, and patio seating on both ends of the building makes for a lot of opportunity. Never too loud despute how packed and great service. They have their own coffee brews and a good size menu.

I just moved here and I neighbor recommended this place. Speed by after my morning bike ride and ott was busy but they had three people working and it went quickly. Lunch was the California Eagel. Great

Worlds Greatest Coffee!

This place is totally nautical dude. Geometric. Algebraic. I got coffee here and the staff was nice and the coffee was even nicer, on my tongue. I got some acai bowl or something too and it was substantial and tastey. I would definitely please my tongue again if I was ever in Slo town for a morning. Also you can refill a cup on a different day for cheaper, so thats a deal that you should take all the way to the bank.

Ive spent over 10 years in the coffee business, and I was super impressed with Nautical Beans espresso this morning. I ordered a short Americano, and it was chocolatey and delicious without an acidic bite. I dont ever expect this level of quality when I try a new coffee shop because if I did, Id almost always be disappointed.

Best chai. Employees are super friendly and cool. It would be 5 stars if I could say the same about the owner. I prefer not to speak badly about anyone, so Ill just say i like when hes not working instead of saying hes a Dick.

Nautical Bean is such a staple coffee shop in SLO. For food they offer bagels, croissant sandwiches, wraps and salads, each equally delicious! As for coffee if youre the type who enjoys a variety of flavored espresso drinks this is a really great stop for you and if you prefer a simple Americano or cup of coffee, they have options. Owned by a local family for about the last decade, this place is still killing it!! I always try making it a point to stop in here when Im in town!

I personally don’t understand the hype about this place at all. I got a breakfast burrito with no bacon; it tasted like they cooked my eggs in becon grease, there was supposed be avocado on it there was none to be seen or tasted, they have no idea what seasoning is. Easily the most most boring meal i’ve tasted since i spent that week in jail.

Another good coffee shop to sit and do some work or relax. Nauty Bean is nice since they have some pretty great food options as well. I definitely recommend the drip coffee.
