Quality products, just wish I could find someone to help me buy cheeses and more.

I must be honest here, Whole Foods Market and I have a love hate relationship. To me whole foods and specialty foods are not necessarily the same. One might expect specialty items to come with the special higher pricetag. However eating quality healthy whole foods should be something we want for each other as a human family and the price of them should reflect that desire...so I guess you would just wonder does Whole Foods Market really wish to be a whole foods grocer or a specialty foods store??? Just saying...

The location of this Whole Foods Market is convenient, especially if you want to do additional shopping at either Costco or Home Depot, both of which are very close. Across the street is Target so there is a large shopping selection in a relatively small area.This Whole Foods is not significantly different than the others you may have visited although it is quite spacious compared with Whole Foods in larger markets such as Boston, New York, and Chicago.The reason the store gets four stars is because of the exorbitant prices. Even though the selection is generally good and the products are of moderate to high quality, the prices are significantly higher then almost any other grocery.

The only certified organic grocery store in San Luis Obispo according to whole foods. If your into the organic foods, than this is your shopping food center. As a person whos never seen organic fruits or vegetables in person. It was an interesting and revealing experience. The quality and standards was high!

Good customer service! But the Organic Empanada…horrible the taste of the empanada!!! I tried to guess from which country the filling of the empanada was.

Awesome spot to grab a lunch for a good price. One protein and two sides from their huge selection of deli enticements. Of course all their great products, produce and meats.

I’m pretty disappointed by the amount of Lavva yogurts I’ve bought from here that have been covered in mold when I open them. I’d say 3/5 times they’re expired- despite what the label says! I don’t know if this is an issue with how they’re being refrigerated, or false advertisement. I’m not the only customer experiencing this either. Hope this will be resolved.

On the small side, but well kept and well stocked. Overpriced as always.

Love this store! My familys saving grace with all of their organic options. There are lots of choices for gluten free and vegan as well. The curbside pickup is extremely helpful during this pandemic. It is how my family stays as safe as possible.

Cesspool of a Whole Foods; dirty bathrooms and professional cashiers. I asked for utensils and cashier told me to look again in the same place she said before. Lazy and stupid.

WOW! Due to the COVID-19 pandemic I wanted to try to make one of their smoothies at home instead of going into the store but the woman in the bakery was very unhelpful, I believe she said her name was Angie. She repeatedly told me she couldn’t give me the recipe because they paid for it... even though making it at home will most definitely turn out different than in store. I myself also work in the restaurant industry and anytime someone wants a recipe we give it to them. She followed with telling me she could only give me the ingredients but then failed to actually relay multiple ingredients that are in the recipe... I hung up feeling angry and will definitely be spreading the word on how their customer service is a 0 star. All this over a simple smoothie recipe. Come back down to earth Whole Foods and be there for your customers during our stay at home order due to this pandemic. Angie should learn better customers service skills as well.

Great meat department and some obscure items for those of us on special diets

I actually love this store! Just giving 1 star to get the managers attention regarding this:The butcher doesnt regularly have fresh ground 80/20 or 70/30 grass fed ground beef. Please consider offering this daily.They do sometimes carry it in the sealed packages.UPDATE 2020-03-21Just saw that they have a TON of FRESH pasture raised 80/20 ground beef.Changing my review to 5 stars. 😁

We get things from Whole Foods that we cant get elsewhere, like Cocoa Metro.

I was in the produce section today and as I was literally picking up a pepper, two people wearing Whole Foods aprons & tags walked up and one leaned toward me and said, Excuse me, do you mind letting me in there? I dropped the pepper and had to quickly step back several steps to try to maintain a distance as they were not waiting for me to move. One of them picked up an item, said, Thanks, over her shoulder and they walked away like it was no big deal. I thought it was rude and not in keeping with the stores own guidelines to politely maintain social distance.

A very clean store, selection you may not find at other grocers. 1st rate produce and meatsYes, more expensive, but you pay for what you get. You get a break if you already have Amazon Prime.

Pretty typical Whole Foods. It has a wide variety of produce and groceries. The hot/cold food bars are always filled and fresh. Its smaller than other Whole Foods Ive been to but still has everything one would need for the most part. The staff Ive encountered have all been super nice and helpful for locating products. Lots of gluten free and vegan options. Love the bulk section and re-organization of the store!

I love Whole Foods meat and fish department and the deli section. The bakery is also excellent. The produce section has improved since Amazon became involved...as prices have dropped a little. Also like the cheese shop. The ability to put together healthy quick meals is very appealing.

Pizzas cool, I miss the hot bar, would get another star but i really cant afford to shop here for my normal groceries... sure quality is great and fresh but if Im entertaining or gonna bbq, this isnt where Id buy things to feed my friends. So I usually dont complain, but hopefully someone reads these and can make some changes.99.9% of the time, I have followed the social distancing guidelines for shopping. It had been a long day and I accidentally wasnt 6 feet from the person checking out.The cashier was completely rude to me in telling me to get back. Its not a good way to treat customers. Even in these times, you can still be polite to others.I enjoy shopping here. I just dont appreciate rude cashiers.Anyway, hope this helps

The store smells fresh and clean, and always looks new. The daily food offerings are amazing. The staff is always knowledgeable, or, if they cant answer a question, theyll find someone who can. Always a pleasure to shop there.

Fresh produce with a great variety. No, I can’t afford to do major shopping here either. So I get a coffee, a delicious treat, pick up a few sale items and enjoy the surroundings, inside and out. Oh and don’t forget the hot food to go section-amazing. Look for the little pleasures in life and stop complaining!

I was in the deli one day and there is a young female in there I believe her name is Carla a young Hispanic lady and she went out of her way to make sure that I was being helped properly it seemed like everyone was in a frenzy but Carla wasnt even slightly out of place like a leader should be is what she was and for that reason I will always go back there to do all of my shopping Thank You Carla! You made my day for sure its young ladies like you that every employee is looking for an hoping to find for there business...

This place have the best napoleon party I have ever eaten. Well stocked, clean. Produce are especially fresh. They even have alkaline water dispenser.

Huge prices but some great items: Fresh Pierogi, Olives, Deli stuff, Cheeses, Wines. Ripoff on many items like fish, Veges, & most Dry goods. Dairy section is good. Most staff is super nice, but Corp. always directs them tomake this place a hassle. They stop carrying stuff that you like & they then can screw up a big wholesale special order. They owe me $400 of bottled Tuna, that has been taking over a month. I was at first given 66 bottles of the wrongly labeled stuff. Returned it & they still cannot get it right. Prior to that...did get a great deal on 2 cases of fine local wine. Great local vino selection. Hot bar is often boring &/or old. The cooks do not give a damn it seems.They also keep jacking up the already insane prices.

This store used to be one of the best Whole Foods in California. Unfortunately it has deteriorated in service standards. Additionally,the hot food section is now comprised of too much fat, sodium, and high calorie foods. Little to no “clean” food.The plain scrambled eggs were gone at 9:30AM, so I asked if they would be making anymore, as Whole Foods typically offers breakfast until 10:30 AM or later. They employee I asked told me “she, the chef”, would make more if I really wanted them, but it would be 10 minutes. First of all it wasn’t about me, it was the responsibility of the store to keep theirfood bar stocked and fresh. More than 15 minutes later, after waiting around for the eggs to be made, they bring out very burnt eggs with chives blended in. I took that as a message from the chef. The manager I informed seemeduninterested, never introduced himself and had a poor attitude.

The line is just way to long the past few times Ive been there. I dont understand why there is so much demand for overpriced goods and produce.

I rated 4 stars because as far as a grocery store goes it has everything you want or need. Except whiskey. I havent seen that and I always want good whiskey. I personally dont enjoy shopping here. There products are fine, I like the food to go items. Its expensive and there always seems to be someone trying to sell you something or holding a clipboard standing outside the front door. My wife likes shopping here so we go from time to time. So yes again its a fine store a bit pricey but has anything you need.

Perfect place to shop for healthy food and beauty.

Really disappointed with this store there not very friendly there peices arent the best and then to top it off my wife and stepson went in the store and they wanted some candy my son could not make his mind up so he was going back and forth between two candies so the Security /manager went up to him and questioned him and then said he was suspicious and then accused him of stealing he was way out of line he was rude and not professional at all if all they have time is to accuse instead of asking them if help in needed then thats a place I dont want my family and I shopping at and besides there meat department sucks we did spend about $200. a week in there but no thank you I work hard for my money and my family or I are not thieves 🖕🤬

Generally well stocked however the prices continue to increase and freshness could be better. The salad bar options need to be updated more often with new stuff. Overall convenient and healthy options but still too expensive.

I am visiting from out of town and it has the freshness of our local co op mixed with the diversity of specialty items like a whole foods, without the price tag of whole paycheck. All the employees were knowledgeable and knew exactly what I was looking for. Great produce, bulk and supplement sections. Also had all my favorite brands.

I love whole foods, they have everything I need. Some of my favorite sandwiches anywhere. Vegetarian food. But this location always seems to be out of everything whenever I go there. The staff is friendly but a little clueless sometimes.Dont get me wrong, I would recommend this place but just be prepared for them to have in accurate information, or continuously out of stock!

My first time to visit a WFM in 10 years. I didnt buy anything but I just enjoyed walking around an looking at stuff. I saw many things you dont normally see in a regular store. They had frozen duck breast and also chicken feet. Lots of stuff I have only seen on Food Network shows.If I lived 100 miles closer I would shop there from time to time.

Very clean store. I wish I could get more standard items here but Whole Foods goes for the niche all natural shoppers. They do have some great produce if you dont mind paying a bit extra.

This is a place I like to go for their different flavored coffees as well as their juice bar and vitamins. Their Deli and salad bar is also convient, with excellent service and the pricing is good too. I like their wine section and gluten free products.

Not a fan. At 15min before closing time I was turned away from their coffee bar. The employee working was not willing to make a single cup of coffee for me (I had just arrived from a 2 hr drive) and informed me I could get coffee from the thermos dispenser on the food bar island, which of course was empty. I have worked in the grocery industry myself and was always taught the customer who arrives a bit before closing gets treated the same as one who is there 2 hours before closing. Not a satisfied customer and I normally really enjoy Whole Foods

It took literally 15 minutes to get a small latte, and I was the *only* customer!! It was a decent latte, and sure 15 minutes isnt an eternity, but I kind of wanted to give it to the gal operating the espresso bar because I think she needed the caffeine more than I did! If you are in a rush, you should just go to Black Horse, Nautical Bean, or even Starbucks. Better training of the staff should fix this problem and I hope they do that soon.

Great location, staff are always happy and helpful. Such a good quick selection for on the go as well as great selection of groceries. Favorite spot in SLO for the holistic based healthy foods and ingredients. Not far from everything either, close to hotels and freeway.
