I went to get a smog check about a month ago for my new out of state car. Before he told me I failed (yes a new car with 50 state smog badge) the operator asked me for $50. I paid him, THEN he told me I failed my smog check and he has seen this before I need to drive it for 30 min under 65 MPH and get a few more miles on the car. I would have preferred he told me that before he knew the smog check would fail. If they cared about their customers at all they would have tried to help me and not take advantage of me. I went back 31 days later and 1000 miles on my car and they would not honor the 1/2 off cause I was one day late. I asked him to take care of me since he kind of ripped me off last time and he would not. I was not super happy so I told him thats fine it is your bad review. When I was waiting for the car to get smoged the owner walked out to me and asked me (in front of my 13 year old daughter) if I was a bully and if I drive a nice car like that it should not bother me to pay full price. I told him I was looking for a little customer service and he said he just wanted to know if I was a bully or not. He charged me full price and I will never go there again and I strongly suggest you find another smog place to do business with.

Really unprofessional and rude poor customer service made me wait because he would not check the notes in the system because it was a company truck and fleet would take care of the payment one employee put all the information in before doing the smog check and the employee who did the smog check would not give me the keys until the guy that took the information went to lunch and made me wait until he came back just because he didn’t feel like checking the system for payment in

The team here is always super friendly and super fast.Even though I know they are fast from past experience they still surprise me how quickly they get it all done.They have a coupon on their website and they directly connected to the DMV, so they send the test data in digitally right away, which is very convenient.Drive past the sign on Rancho Santa Fe and turn right in between the buildings then take your first right (theres signage there). Appointments not necessary.

Went and got my wifes car done today - have never had faster service getting smog done. In and out the door in less than 20 minutes.We have 4 cars in our household, and we take all of them to this station. The price is decent, the service is good, and they are generally fast. This is my go to place to have my SMOG check done. There is no 2 hour wait. More like give the mechanic your keys, go to the office, wait less than ten minutes and its done! Been there twice in the past year and had a consistent experience each time.

Courteous, respectful, knowledgeable. Arrange a ride or bring a book/snack/walking shoes - theres no place to hang out on the block, but there is a park across the road.

Im absolutely furious with this company. I called them on Friday to drop my car off for this week and they said theyd be open and that was fine. They havent been in the shop for two days even though it has their hours of operation as OPEN. They have completely wasted my time and are extremely unprofessional. A terrible way to conduct business.

First when I walked up the man, who I believe was the owner, ignored me, after being told they might have turned off the smog machine and may not do it. Then the same guy walk up without saying hello, hi... he said give me the keys rudely like I am making him stay longer . No thank you, be right back... so I ask about a sensor I replaced the lady ask if I want to smog or not... she would not even suggest I not do it even though she knew I would fail. I refused the smog. He pulls my vehicle out and rolls down the bay door. He not only turned another person away that was driving up. I was on the freeway with my daughter in the car and realized he left mY hood open!!!! I would strongly recommend thinking twice about going here.

I have gone here for years with both my household cars. I get in and out in 20 minutes. Cost me $49 today, Aug 14, 2013. I have never had a problem. When I went in today, receptionist was watching Breaking Bad. Ha. Love it.

Took my car for start test only with check engine light on. They knew that with light on the car wouldnt pass. Even like that they did tested ofcourse they just wanted my money. So it failed they told me to drive for more than 30 miles and come back for retest and that I had to pay again. Check engine Light was still on so they charge me $100 for diagnostic. First they say we have to replace the flex pipe so I pay for it. Guess what didnt pass then they say o we have to replace the cathartic converter didnt pass I pay for it then they said we have to replace o2 sensor ok I pay for it finally pass the test after I pay $800 but the o2 sensor that they put is not Alloway in and my car is consuming a lot of gas. My car is four cylinder now it seems that is a v8. No way Im going back with them.

How do you rate a smog Test Only station? Its not like theres any leniency in the outcome. So, it comes down to service, and price, and these guys have done right by us for years. Weve never had to wait more than a few minutes (time of day is crucial), and the coupon on their site will save you a few bucks.

Dont recommend going here... unprofessional and uneducated when it comes to smogging Diesels. Tested my truck as an OBDII when it should have been done as an OBDI (Federal). Failed it because of communication issue. Did the research and ultimately discovered that there is an Emissions Label on the engine declaring Federal. Now says that the label is worn and cant pass because it has a Catalytic Converter and he cant read if its supposed to. Complete BS, just too arrogant to admit he made a mistake. Also wants to charge for a retest.
