I made appointment with Steve for my 6months oil change/service. He told me that Jerry had passed away and he was doing his responsibilities. I waited around to get the job done and then he gave me a bill that was almost 60%higher than what Jerry used to charge me. When I complained he got annoyed and started calling me cheapskate and that he doesnt want to see me for any future services. I used to have respect for him before but no longer going to that place and recommend the manager to discipline that guy.

Stopped by today after getting a smog check next door. Asked a simple question regarding an issue with my wife’s car, and got a very rude, condescending answer. I have a few good friends who have spent a lot here, but didn’t have a chance to mention them or their unique vehicles before the owner walked away.There is a decent MB repair shop in East Escondido, having a much more pleasant and respectful owner. I will stick with that one.

The strangest man ever! First he made a hell of a presentation and when on the appointed time I took my car for repair; he was too busy to get to my car can you bring it tomorrow? he asked. Eventually he attended to my car and charged nearly twice what estimates I had before coming to this area. For almost a year I took my two old Mercedes, sometimes with pleasant result but mostly with unpleasant encounters. The straw that broke the camels back was when he told me to brig the diesel back for a minor quick adjustment to the engine mount that was a little noisy. I took the car for three times each time he said he is too busy now and that was after I made two specific appointments which he blamed on his office boy of whom he said had said nothing to me about the appointment and then at the end when I said you dont seem to want my business he just walked away. That was a month ago and I have never contacted him again. I did not write any comment because I wanted to do so when I had completely got over the experience. Over the year for the two cars I paid him over $2500 for various repairs he claimed I needed. He may be a good mechanic (and I dont know); but in my experience he is not a very nice person to deal with. Good luck to anyone taking his car to him.

I have owned my 325Ci for about 4 years now and Ive taken my car to Jerry twice. I usually can fix most problems with a DIY manual and the proper parts but sometimes as you know, you just gotta take it to the professionals. Both times Jerry and his team brought my car back to life and at a great price too. I recently just returned from a 7 month deployment overseas leaving my car with a friend, lets just say he couldnt really fix any of the problems he created. So when I returned, I immediately gave Jerry a call and setup a date to drop the car off. He was always polite and professional, actually caring about the car and the work that was needing to be done. The fast turnaround time on the car with the amount of work that needed to be done is a testament to the level of AWESOME dedication Jerry and his team have to their customers. I only trust Jerry and his team with my vehicle and anyone that claims they dont take care of you and your vehicle, must have a bitter attitude about everything. I love Star Autohaus!!!
