Worst customer service I have experienced. Only gave 1 star because i had too. I ordered several bottles that never made it to my house. It was scheduled for delivery and I made sure I was home. The next day it showed returned to shipper, item damaged. I emailed the company and it took 4 days to get response. Never once did they try to make it right.. I explained i never saw package so how was i to know what items were actually damaged. I have yet to hear back. Very sad you have to take advantage of customers to make profit.
I have searched high and low for this particular champagne & Top Shelf Wine & Spirits has come through for me on 3 very special occasions. Sadly, I live in NYC and with the holidays, weather and pandemic shopping scene - items do take longer than normal to get to me. Top Shelf Wine & Spirits has met me in the middle with cost to ship (giving discount of $20) which has been helpful. But more than anything, their speedy response to email (almost too quick!) :) but very diligent about responding has made me feel good as a customer. Paul has always been kind too. I think the owner should hire a little more human power as I did put in my order on 12/16 and had it been shipped on 12/17, would have arrived in time by Christmas. I followed up today 12/21 to learn it had not been shipped and paid the extra $34 for two day shipping. After spending $1500, one would think that there may be a little more urgency, however, I understand times are busy with holidays. This is more directed to the owner than the associates as I know they are hustling as much as possible! :)
Do not order online!!! I purchased 2 items from their website a Johnnie Walker Swing and Johnnie Walker & Sons Celebratory Blend Limited Edition 200th Anniversary Scotch and never received my order. First time my package went missing and they offered to resend it so I waited for a status and from them when its gonna be delivered and never got anything from them its already gonna be 2 months and nothing. I have tried to contact them but their customer service through email is very rude. Saying I couldnt get a refund because I did a dispute from PayPal of course Im gonna do one they didnt send my order and dont wanna give my money back!
Why I am leaving a one-star review. I ordered a gift for my brother for his birthday on Sunday the 13th of June. Their website mentioned that if I ordered before 2:30 On Friday the 11th of June that the items would be shipped that day so I figured the package would get there on Monday with the 2-day shipping option. Based on this knowledge I figured that would be okay, one day after his birthday, I see now I should have gone with overnight spent for the extra $30 because now its saying its not getting there till Wednesday which Im not even sure about that now because originally The tracking number was showing it was going to arrive on Monday. I used, and paid $50+, 2-day shipping factoring in Friday and Saturday so figured it would get there on Monday. What is this now being delivered at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday stuff. This is unacceptable and And I get this is probably more on UPS but its the only shipping service you offer so I will never use your service again.A frustrated customer,Remington Ferguson
Horrible customer service - Would not recommendUpdate Since They Responded: I placed my order and their website only let me select UPS 3-day shipping which I paid for. Ground shipping was not even an option. (Other reviews also state this) When I look at the invoice it says Ground Shipping. After waiting 5 days for it to ship I contacted them through email because they do not answer their phone. I was first told they are processing the orders in the order they received them and then they said it would be processed faster with 3-day shipping and asked me to pay more for shipping. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I pay for something and it does not ship and then ask for more money to ship faster? I would have to be crazy to give them more money. So now its 6 days after the order and it still has not shipped. Its a pretty easy process, you get an order and then you ship it.
I placed an order and due to the backup of holiday orders, they would not be able to deliver before the holidays. The Top Shelf team was prompt, precise, and attentive to my time restraints. They completely refunded the order within minutes of my purchase, and were polite and VERY easy to work with. Will definitely use them in the future.
I live in Ohio and I order some scotch from Top Shelf. Everything went well with the order and they sent it out in a timely manner. Unfortunately, UPS was not so good with my package and broke it. Several emails went back and forth and Top Shelf did contact UPS and they refunded my money. Overall, the way Top Shelf did business was very professional. I had a moving service for my scotch and wished it well. Thanks for your help Top Shelf.
Top Shelf Wine & Spirits exceeded expectations by ensuring my special gift reached its recipients despite my mistakes in ordering. Auto correct somehow messed up the delivery address. I contacted Top Shelf and within 24 hours they had corrected the mistake, refunded excess shipping, and made sure my gift arrived despite the fact they were super busy for the Holiday Season. Wonderful customer service! I had an issue with receiving the confirmation email and also needed to change shipping speed - both were taken care of very quickly and tracking info was sent immediately upon shipping.
I had been looking for RumChata Peppermint Bark and everyone was sold out. I found it online with Top Shelf Wine & Spirits! The next day I found some in my town. Contacted customer service to see if I could cancel my order. They took care of it immediately. Highly recommend them.

Order placed December 15. As of December 28 order was still being processed. No means by which to communicate via telephone. Only automated email responses. Purchase was made with the intention that it be delivered by Christmas. Lesson learned.
My original order was incorrectly fulfilled. They graciously fixed the order and correctly fulfilled my original order. Easygoing and pleasant to work with!
Nothing like spending almost $100 on liquor just to get it and find out they send you the wrong kind and don’t even respond back after you try to contact them. Don’t waste the time on this place!

I would say the access and the products give you a 5 out of 5 stars. The delay in processing and shipping of 9 days before it was even processed was too long. The willingness to cancel my order and give a full refund was again a 5 out of 5.

No replies to enquirers, then a sudden credit back to PayPal 20 days later, without explanation or apology. Be very wary about ordering from this firm for an out of state delivery. Please see also my review posted on YELP

Ordered Shellback rum, received a different type of rum. Sent three emails over several weeks, and even a Facebook message that stated they would look into it before silence. The items arrived quickly and well packed, but if they give you the wrong thing they wont respond or help you in any way.After I was in touch with a representative, and some back and forth I was taken care of. Im improving my rating because they did take care of me in the end. I had a bad experience, but the representative was polite, and seemed to truly care about resolving my issue.

Placed order on 12/8 and was sent an email on 12/10 stating it was shipped and sent a non valid tracking number. Ive tried calling and sending emails and have not received any replies back let alone a refund. Stay away and do not do business with this company.

These guys have literally everything and anything you can ask for in the alcohol world. From $20 a bottle to $5,000 a bottle they have everything you could possibly ask for. And thats just the liquor. If you drink craft beer there is no better place to go then top shelf. I couldnt be happier that we have something like this in the neighborhood. Easy 5 stars.
