They do great work but the girl that takes in your order could really use some customer service training

Tall Hispanic employee has a bad attitude and doesn’t know anything about customer service. Why is he working here if he doesn’t like his job? You shouldn’t be harassing paying customers for no reason!

Cecelia did such a FAST and fantastic job on a dress I needed altered for a wedding. Tried on so many at stores since I had none that fit at home because of Covid extra weight gain. Ive been using Pleats home pickup and delivery dry cleaning services for 6 months now. I signed up with them because my previous home delivery dry cleaner retired after 20 years and they came highly recommended and had good Yelp reviews. I wish I could say they have lived up to their recommendation but they have not.I have two very simple requests for my dry cleaning: one, crease all pants unless otherwise noted; and, two, fold all sweaters as hanging them leaves hanger marks on the shoulder. Simple requests I would think but they maybe get it right 60% of the time. Ive lost track of how many times Ive had to send items back to be redone because pants are not creased or sweaters are hung on a hanger and left dents on the shoulder, sometimes permanent with finer lightweight knits. Ive gone so far as to only send out sweaters with one pickup or only pants in another in hopes that mixing items might be too much for them to handle but I can send out five sweaters and three will come back folded and two will come back hung on hangers. Keep in mind, this is even with me putting a note in each bag as a reminder to fold sweaters and crease pants. For $6.95 a sweater and the volume of business I do with this company, I dont think its unreasonable to expect that it be done correctly on a consistent basis. They have completely taken the convenience out of a home delivery service given how I have to manage what I send out each week, how many times I have to send items back to be redone, and then track to ensure that Im not double-charged (which I havent been but it definitely falls in the too much work category to manage this each week just to get my clothes cleaned).Ive contacted the owner countless times about these continual issues and Im repeatedly told I will talk to the staff but I have had no consistent results. Ive given them 6 months with pickup and delivery service twice a week to get it right and I dont think Ive had two weeks in a row without some type of problem. I believe Ive been fair and reasonable but, quite frankly, shame on me for putting up with such poor service for so long. I will just go to the local dry cleaner until Im able to find a more reliable home service. I will give them two stars because their pickup and delivery service was reliable.

This PLEATS as well as the Escondido location are great. The staff is knowledgeable, the prices are more than fair, and the quality of their work is great. I have not had a bad experience here and go here quite often. Hems, mends, alterations, dry cleaning, etc, all of their services have been top notch.

Took a bridesmaids dress here for a hem and they were easily the best price between San Marcos and Carlsbad. $25 for one layer hem and the service was super fast. I love that you can just walk in with no appointment for a consult. I just brought in 8 other items because of my positive experience. My new go to tailor!

Amazing staff all around, very professional and excellent fine tailoring. I just bought a new suit for an event and needed a lot of work done fast (shirt sleeves, jacket sleeves, back taken in, pants taken up) when I called the lady on the phone worked it out for me to meet with the seamstress at 9 and everything was done same day! Top quality! Now Im going out looking and feeling like a million bucks! Thanks PLEATS!!!

Simply the best

I have only used them for alterations but they did great work, were prices right, and it only took a few days each time. My first item was a ball gown and they were so helpful showing the best changes that would make it fit perfect. Because of their great work and price on that I have since brought jeans and a work shirt and again I was very happy with their service.

I had my wedding dress tailored here, and was thrilled with the results. They fixed the length, the fit, and added clear snaps to make sure the lace laid properly over the zipper. It was very affordable, easy to get an appointment, and when I needed the dress taken in a little more, they did the second adjustment quickly and at no additional charge. Will definitely go back!

Unfortunately, too many bad experiences with tailoring and dry cleaning. I had 2 jackets repaired - one twice and it was $80- and the lining ripped immediately the first time I put the jacket back on. Dry cleaning was returned to me multiple times with the stains.

I had a pageant coming up and my gown was still not ready. Pleats Dry Cleaning was recommended by a friend and so I decided to have my gown altered by them. Sure enough my gown was fixed in no time! Great service and their pricing is fair.

I have had numerous disaster experiences with other dry cleaners trying to find a place that wont ruin my clothes. I will NEVER go anywhere else ever again.I can understand why someone might say their prices are a little higher than others, but I would rather pay a dollar more for the peace of mind knowing they will never ruin my clothes, lose buttons and shrink my clothes.Not only do they get out the toughest stains, but they are masters at tailoring.They have truly perfected the art of tailoring.From the way they alter your clothes to fit your shape, fix the items deemed unfixable, outstanding customer service from each one of the girls that work in both location, and constantly continue to exceed my expectations, they should be ranked #1 in all of San Diego County.

I went to a tailoring and alteration shop near my work to get the length of my costume fixed but I felt that the price they gave me was a bit high for my budget. I looked again for another store to go to and found Pleats. They took a look at it and told me the price which was fair enough for me. Glad I found them!

Kind of over priced and when the seem on my pants became undone they charged me again. Not going back.

Never again...$12 for a short hem on some pants (now look like puddle jumpers) in addition, they didnt even press the pants, after I explicitly asked if the price included a clean and press.Never coming back.

My suit was tailored and pressed and looked great!
