Curbside was fantastic today, as is most days. Staff is hard working and friendly.

So not sure if its just my Wal-Mart or just people in general. Seems like to me that people are not willing to help out anymore. My experience was when I ask for assistance for getting something off the top shelf.No response just took out her little phone and said some should be there. Next the cashier literally standing there watching me struggle to put something on bottom of basket and waiting for me to grab the other bags around the spinning thing to put into my cart. Doesnt say Thank you just hands me the receipt. Then asked the greeter if there was a phone number to complain she says I dont know and walked away.

Very good Walmart and well organized. All of the associates were happy to help and went above and beyond to assist. The knock is a lot of the grocery isles were empty. It seems like they would know college freshmen were moving in and ensure the back-stock was sufficient.

Largest superstore in San Marcos area. Good for groceries and home appliances. But not a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables are available.

I travel full-time across the country...& Wally pickup I use regularly. The San Marcos store on US 80 was really good. Im in a van pulling a trlr. Was there 15 min early, parked across from the door (wont fit in a spot)... They were dead on time, order was right & with a big smile @ 7am! Thanks guys! 👍🏻🐸🚐

People with bad reviews have never worked at Walmart before and it shows. The reason most Walmarts would be understaffed is because they can’t stand dealing with ignorant people. Customers think because someone works in one single part of the store that must mean they know the whole store. You guys can insult Walmart associates all you want but you’re no better. It gets hard working at Walmart.. they aren’t perfect, they know that but they’re trying. I used to work at Walmart and it was super hard dealing with the entitled customers that work there. Sorry not sorry.

First, I dont want anyone to think Im getting down on any employee. Ill get to that shortly.I went in to have my phone service changed to a Walmart plan. There was only one young lady working the whole section. When she finally got to me, she stated that she had just started but she hadnt been trained as to how to do what I needed.She got the book out and tried to go step by step but the book hadnt been updated in 2 years and procedures had changed. She called for assistance but there was no one at all in the store to help her. She excused herself between attempts to get my phone set up, to check out customers and after 80 minutes she was in tears.I assured her it was OK and I wasnt angry with her.There is no excuse in placing an untrained employee in a high traffic department. My first trip in the morning will be to rip that manager a new one.He was off today.

I dont like having to do all the work and still paying full price for groceries. Im not a Walmart employee. Shop for groceries, unload and check myself out, bag and load groceries, get checked that Im not stealing as Im exiting store, unload bags into car and then unload like normal once home. I feel like I should get reduced price groceries. Walmart putting people out of work by not having cashiers.

Horrible experience. So many employees, but not enough help during self checkout. Took longer to checkout after using three different machines, and two employees.When traveling away from my home and area I will not be chosen this Walmart as a pit stop again.

There was a recent layout change. Shelves are now usually stocked adequately barring pandemic stock up. The self checkout on the grocery side seems to be divided in half by cash or credit. Use the Walmart app to help locate items in store, or check prices with the built in scanner. Price check doesnt seem to work on some items transitioning to clearance as if the price change hasnt been put into the system yet, so feel free to check with a stocker.

I can admit that Walmart Supercenter is a very busy business but the employees are very helpful and generous even to a point to walk you to the isle and make sure that the product that you are looking for is in stock n that is a plus and I always shop at Walmart Supercenter. Also great prices and along with deals.

Shopped for lasagna ingredients. Am not from San Marcos, so I am not familiar with this store. This store was out of several items throughout the store. I think this is becoming a serious issue around several stores though. However, there were three things I needed to get to make my lasagna that this store did not have; riccata cheese, sweet Italian sausage, and fresh mozzarella pre sliced cheese. The positive side is, the auto checkout is quick, convenient and handy.

This is such an awful Walmart. The employees don’t have a single brain cell and they can’t even do something so simple as ordering properly, and keeping the shelves properly stocked…. I hate this place so much

The man who works the deli has always been very helpful. Today I came earlier than I usually do and an older woman was working the deli. I asked her to get me a family chicken strip box (there were none up front) and she told me there were some up front. I informed her there werent any and she just said she was sorry about that and stood there staring at me. I have no clue if they didnt have more chicken to cook or if she just didnt feel like doing it because she literally didnt tell me anything. Huge waste of a trip. From now on Ill come later in the day when the respectful gentleman is working.

Do not use curbside here, terrible service. My order was missing items & when I called the store they kept me on hold for 20 minutes trying to figure it out. They finally said to come back and pick it up. I went back and waited another 30 minutes in my car just for them to say they were out of stock and would refund me. Do yourself a favor and just use HEB curbside.

I’m going to go Karen mode for a sec. I came here after working all day to grocery shop with my wife. We had two carts overflowing with groceries. Not a single person was checking people out. There were about 10 employees standing around in the oversized self checkout area who proceeded to tell me to check them out myself. I understand this being a college town and that’s it probably more efficient to let the college kids do their job for them, but I can’t begin to express how much I loath coming to this rundown walmart.

Homeless people have more food stocked than this place does

What can I say, Walmart is Walmart. I like Walmart but they never have enough help. Your always waiting in line forever and they never have enough people to check you out. I always end up checking myself out. And when I do go thru the line the girl at the register is always in a bad mood or just not nice at all. No hello, smile, nothing. Just rude, probably because they dont have enough help. Only go here because I have too.🙄

I know I will always find whatever items I need. No need to visit several stores.....

I love going to shop there.They pretty much have just about everything or anything you need sometimes I have problems trying to stay away because my wallet cant take it I always end up spending more money than I want to but its a great place to go shopping.

Disappointed my mother Waited 40mins for an electric cart and was never brought one. When no employee brought her one I picked her up and of course there were 3 Carts outside as we leave. Not handicapped friendly or accessible.

I found what I needed, checked out and was a happy camper.

Recently went there and they changed the whole floor plan and it didnt make any sense. The self checkouts took up so much space there was hardly any cashiers. My wife graduated at Texas State and we are all for fan merch, but they could have alot more checkouts and lines would go much faster if they moved it all. Game card area was a total disaster and nothing had prices and what they had was way over priced.

I checked out at the garden center. The cashier was informative to the customers. And regular paced. Thanks Wal-Mart

Rx Tech was very efficient and over the top helpful. She transferred my prescription from a long distance WalMart AND had it ready for pickup in less than an hour.

Later in the evening not to many folks. The loder gentleman at the door. Super nice man, Im just saying hes a reason some people return to a business.Thank you almost felt like I was back at home.

I always get my oil changed here. Its decently priced which is awesome because I have to get them pretty frequently. The best part is the guys always get me in and out very quickly 👌👌👌

My lady and I usually prefer the grill but this time the wait wouldve been too long so we decided to go sushi bar but still order from grill menu. Everything was good as usual but the taste of the fried rice was off

Cvs in new braunfels taking only (for moderna) by appointment only so I went to walmart in New Braunfels, they only have pfizer vaccine so I did a walk in san marcos walmart, very thankful. Thanks san marcos walmart.

Busy store & a new location for me to shop, so itll take a bit to get use to the layout. However, lots of employees & they all were able to direct me where needed.

Wal-Mart of coarse always has the best prices no matter what youre shopping for. Customer service here, is another issue. I came here to buy a specific drill bit, and about 3 employees came to help me, but no one could answer my question. Same thing when I came to buy a certain paint and plumbing part. Several employees came to help me, but had no knowledge on the product I needed to buy. And the cashier I had was just plain rude.

Really clean Walmart and the staff is more energized to serve us when we need them.

I got a carpet shampoo machine. Im very happy and satisfied.

The pharmacy is good, the pharmacy employees are very helpful.The jewelry section, however, is terrible 😕. The selection of fashion jewelry was almost nonexistent! The display walls were empty. Tons of boxes blowing acces to the few items that were actually stocked. This was at 6pm !!!! You cant sell, things that are still in boxes!!!!!Also, the floor at the pharmacy entrance, where an employee checks your purchases, or returns as you enter the store, was so highly polished that I almost slipped and fell! The only thing that saved me was the fact that I was holding on to a shopping cart. VERY DANGEROUS, PLEASE BE VIGILANT!

Orderly courteous clean not busy not crowded

Really frustrated with having to check myself out with 300 dollars worth of food, while the associates stand around and talk with only a 2ft by 2ft square to bag our stuff. Then after doing the work myself I get searched on my way out at the door like a criminal.

Terrible customer service. Employees arent paid enough to care anyways. Also they only ever have one or two employees working a line at any given time. And their chip readers are always messed up. Seriously, 👉👌 Walmart.

Terrible experience at the San Marcos store today.Wanted to buy press-on nails but the cabinet was locked! Then I went to look at the eyebrow pencils and they were locked up too. And not an employee in the dept to unlock the cabinets. Had to call the store for assistance. Didn’t buy the nails cause too much trouble to find them again and other customers were waiting.Tried to get 2 keys made but they only had blanks for the house key, none for the car key.Tried to buy a funnel but all they had was a giant one or a tiny one.When I was done shopping, it was self-check-out only!It will be a loooong time before I go back to this WalMart!

Walked up to the deli at 6:20pm. There was one guy in the back and he stated the deli was closed. We looked it up online and it said the deli was open until 9pm. After checking out we walked by a manager and we asked what time they closed. After checking with someone on the radio they said the deli closed at 8pm. They apologized.This is the reason why people overwhelmingly go to the HEB across town.

Got most of my stuff for my lawn mowers and was satisfied with what I got got a battery for my lawn mower too at a reasonable price

The staff is rude and not helpful. They need to have more registered opend and when they dont they need to do the check out at self check out, they forget about the seniors and people with disabilities.

Only one cashier every time, waited in line for over 20 minutes because of the ten people in front another ten behind, ridiculous... I refuse to support self checkout, first, it takes jobs away secondly, Walmart is not paying me to do a cashiers job wouldnt even go to Walmart if I had options

Walmart almost always has most of whatever items you are looking for such as automotive, clothing/shoes, groceries, pharmacy, photo area, etc. Too many times there is noone around to assistance in finding items or having questions. The locations that I go to are very convenient and once I do find someone to help me, they are kind, considerate, and knowledgeable.

Personally I dont like Walmart! People nonchalantly follow you around pretending to shop! I know why they do it, but its so blatantly obvious its funny! Sometimes Ill mess with them jokingly while Im in there, tell them if theyre gonna follow me they can at least push my basket or read my shopping list off to me an check items off as I get them in basket! Oh an dont let me forget the damn milk either!

Had to run in and out, but, this Walmart was very clean and plenty of room to walk around. I felt very safe here.

It’s a Walmart. The car care center personnel here are extremely helpful. All of the employees at this location have been super polite during every visit. Has all of the normal offerings of a Walmart. Fairly clean location (Walmart is not what Id usually consider a clean store) and always super busy!

In town working, Curbside has been quick both times we have ordered groceries from this walmart.

From what i hear horrible management blaming everything on everyone but themselves and being very selfish. Do not work here.

Meh. just getting some cell equipment for truck chargers etc. Took down most signs for mask but I prolly seen 75 to 80% people with em on come on people. The courageous will blaze a trail to FREEDOM

Remodeled the store which gives it a brand new feel. I like it a lot. Very clean and modern look. Employees are moreHelpful than ever before. Security is up so that is good especially for the coming holidays. Go check it out!

Started a project making Afghans for my grandkids. Chose a polo stripe and go figure it hasnt been restocked. Go online n they want to charge a lot more to get it just to finish. Needless to say i have spent hundreds of dollars on yarn a yr making blankets. Now i will be shopping elsewhere for my yarn.

Fking huge! This WalMart is like Sams sized. The layout is strange, but not too different from other Walmarts. I wish the Walmarts near my home were more like this. Shelves were stocked and stockers were running in the middle of the day!

I deliver for doordash. I checked in at 10:20 to pick up order no one helped me till 10:35 when I someone came up my order wasn’t ready they said it will be right up. They came back at 10:50 and said they person doing the order had went to lunch. Lost 30 min of time I could have been making deliveries

Absolutely horrible only one check out was open they tried to force everyone into that self-serve checkout I do not like it I do not think its fair when you go in to buy something you expect some help. Little do they know when they do inventory they will see people are stealing left and right through the self-serve checkout believe me that system can be beat so easily and they know it that is the shoplifters know it
