Chad is a great salesman, not pushy, attentive, we really appreciated him! The shop needs an update, carpets are worn, cases are old and need updating, most of the ladies take their breaks up front so you get to hear all the details of their worlds, not awful, just not as classy as you would hope. Computer systems are dated, and selections are not current. Price tags are great, and there is always a sale!
Oh my gosh I was so happy about the excellent customer service I got from Cecilia at Zales San Marcos Tx.... Also Eddie was involved as well!When I called Cecilia and told her my dilemma from another store from an area I had just moved from, she quickly assured me that the service and solution from the other store was not acceptable for a Zales store! The repair was still way before the 6 month warranty was up! Before I knew it she had ordered another identical replacement bracelet ( I was told at the other store in Pasadena Texas ( not Baybrook) that there were not any more bracelets like the one I had! Hmmmm. SO I went and got it from Cecilia and she sent it out to be sized! In not time I got a message it was ready! When I picked it up Eddie couldn’t have been nicer as well! What great customer service representatives you have at the San Marcus store!I will definitely be back for future purchases!Thank you Cecilia and Eddie...you know how to treat customers and make them feel valuable!BTW I made quite a few purchases from Zales’s Pasadena in the last year and I feel like I should have been treated differently! My wife lost a diamond out of her wedding ring we had bought at the Gordon’s in Corpus. The Corpus store was reluctant to send it in for repairs as we had not kept up with the inspections as we were supposed to. I brought it into this Zales store in San Marcos. They took her ring and sent it in for repair. A few weeks later we received the ring back repaired at no charge!!Have been back some to Christmas shop and keep up with our ring inspections.Very nice store, excellent customer service and wonderful employees!Highly recommend this store!
My husband has purchased two wedding rings for me from this location. The first one was around $2k and after less than a year a diamond fell out. The warranty he purchased covered it but after 6 weeks of being without my ring we got it back and the same diamond fell out two days later. I brought it back and they acted like it was no big deal that I would have to be without my ring. I began the process to get the ring repaired again but I asked to speak with the manager. She then told me that the ring my husband purchased was a flawed design and was going to be proned to losing diamonds and that we should consider upgrading. My wedding ring is the only piece of jewelry I wear so, I was really upset just thinking about having be without my ring all the time. My husband decided to upgrade it so, I wouldn’t have to worry about it. We then decided on a $5k ring and the store manager said it was a much better design and it wouldn’t be prone to losing diamonds. I have had that ring for 2 years and 1 week and a diamond fell out and because it has been over 6 months since I have had inspected I was told I have to pay $250+ to get it repaired even though we purchased the lifetime warranty. The store manager Bernadette told me it is very common and that no matter how much I would’ve spent on a ring at Zales it would most likely lose a diamond. Being a Sales Area Manager myself I am appalled at how the Store Manager spoke about the products at her company. If you Review the Reviews for this location you will also find she wrote herself a 5 Star Review, that should tell you how big of a scam the place is.
The staff was awesome! The ladies were GREAT keeping my son entertained and laughing! The gentleman who helped find the rings was awesome as well! They never tried to make us buy something totally out of our budget. They worked with us and we were able to find the PERFECT wedding bands! Its also not very often you can take a toddler into a jewelry store and not get looks like theyre about to destroy everything. Thank yall so much for making it an enjoyable experience!

This place is a rip off. The sales associates will lie to make a sale. Don’t bother buying the warranty because Zales doesn’t stand behind it. Bernadette, the store manager, treats customers terribly. I don’t know why she still has a job there. Clearly Zales doesn’t read these reviews. The staff is only nice when they want to make a sale. Go to Diamonds Direct instead. It’s worth the drive. They actually care about their customers and stand behind their warranty. Also, the 5 star reviews listed here are probably from their staff.
Just be careful if you take for fix it something here specially if is a expensive item like my Rolex watch they took like 6 to 8 moth to fix it but they chance the band for cheaper one, this people think we don’t know what we have but the name that they made it was a ROBBERY.

Excellent customer service. Ms. Bernadette attended to us as soon as we got there even when telling here we were just looking and were not going to buy anything. She helped us out get some ideas for our wedding bands. She even cleaned my ring. Definitely recommend.
Rude staff. I went into the store to help my dad with his anniversary present for my mom. The guy there was really rude and pointed us out of the store when we told him what we were doing there and told us to go to the website. Obviously he wasnt in the mood to deal with us since we are young and in his mind didnt have any intentions of buying from him. We will be going somewhere else to buy the present without rude staff.
I brought my engagement ring in to be sized down and it took three weeks to get it back. I had it a couple of weeks all the while knowing it was still too big. I brought it back to sized it down more just to find out that it wasnt even sized down the first time. I have no idea why my ring wasnt sized the first time and was not given a reason nor an apology. Now I have to give it to them for another 3 weeks. Also, be aware of the salesman, David. He is a really jerk and makes every rude comments and treats customers like trash. My fiance and I have spend over $5,000 there on our rings and this guy has bashed us Everytime we have walked in the door.

Bernadette is the RUDEST Retail Manager I have EVER dealt with! I used to work for Zales and she is a POOR example of what they represent and has ZERO Customer Service skills. She sold my husband a wedding set and refused to sell him the Protection Plan. When I needed my rings sized down she charged me $147, They only sent back one of my rings and LOST the other one! She was EXTREMELY RUDE!!!! When I told her I was going to call The Corporate Office, because she was rude and talking over me. She said Go ahead and complain, My name is Bernadette! I WOULDNT BUY FROM THIS ZALES!!!! If I didnt know Zales was better than this, I would NEVER BUY FROM THEM AGAIN!!!!!
I never leave bad reviews because I am understanding of humans and they can have bad days. However, in this case I felt offended by Carlos and wanted very much for the powers that be at corporate to be made aware of his behavior. Background: my fiancé visited this store two days ago and talked with Alex. He had a good experience but decided to shop around some more for his wedding band. We came back together today to confirm the purchase of the ring he remembered liking. We were greeted by Carlos and asked warmly if we could be helped. We knew exactly what we wanted and his attitude changed immediately. Im assuming because it wasnt a flashy piece. We wanted a starter ring with a price tag of $329. He never made eye contact again. He just said debit?.... or credit? Again, assuming we were cheap people maybe? It was debit, thank you. He simply ripped off the sticker leaving the gummy glue on the ring, placed the receipt in front of us and gave us a half-hearted have a nice day. again - never making eye contact. Very very poor customer service. We drove from Austin just to make this purchase and I feel very much disappointed by my experiece here. Not so much as a congratulations ever even crossed this persons mind. Rude. Ive been in customer service my whole life and you have to learn to fake it at least.

Do not buy Jewelry here it’s cheap and will break and they will not stand by their warranty I literally just bought my necklace back in December 2018 and it’s January 2019 and now I’m out a necklace and pendant, because it’s broken twice now in a matter of two months and they will not replace it even though it was their product that failed and broke and resulted in it falling of my neck and this time I didn’t notice and now I’m out a necklace and pendant and $1000 do not buy Jewelry from here it will break and you will be out money.
