Our family has been using Eye Designs for some years now, both for eye glasses and contacts. Their staff are always super helpful and friendly, and their eye exams are very thorough (and we also have an annual checkup for one family member at UCSF; Eye Designs is as good though doesn’t do this particular area of medicine). The staff are very helpful at maximizing vision insurance benefits and getting excellent prices on frames and lenses. They just helped our 12-year-old daughter get her first pair of very cool transition lens sunglass-style eye glasses. She is thrilled and so are we. An unreserved 5 stars for Eye Designs, and we love that it’s a local business.
All staff were very helpful and efficient, including advising on how to save money.
Well, Im a customer that is not happy.Mr. Garcia was great and is very personable and knowledgeable. My gripes? When I dropped my glasses off to have new lenses fitted, I had called the day before to let them know I was coming by. When I got there they said I had to me measured for distance etc. which I was not expecting and than they wanted a partial payment. I was not told this on the previous phone call.I was also told I would be notified when the glasses were ready. After waiting the time period they told me, I decided to go over to check and was told the glasses arrived four days earlier. On top of that they were crusted with a white film because thats what happens to old frames. Well not when I brought them in. Im still trying to get the white off. Boo. No like this staff. Garcia, yes.
I have been going to EyeDesigns Optometry for 15+ years and have always had exceptional service. Dr. Garcia and his staff are helpful and treat me as if I’m their only patient. Even after I moved out of state for a few years, the team didn’t skip a beat once I moved back. I would highly recommend EyeDesigns Optometry to anyone looking for a new optometrist.
Dr Garcia and Linwood have consistently been the two best eye care professionals I have met since I started wearing glasses/contacts in 1969.
Made an appointment to get my eyes exam. I was driving in from peninsula to show loyalty to this business. I was running about 20 minutes late - called to say I would be there and I was almost to GGB.The doctor said sorry but you have to reschedule. I pleaded with them to at least try to work me in as I was only going to be 20 minutes late. Doctor wouldn’t budge - shame on you.No matter - I found a place a lot closer that cares about customer service and retention ...
The whole team there was so friendly and helpful with the process of getting my eyes examined and picking out a new pair of glasses. They went above and beyond. Really great experience.
I have seen Doctor Garcia for years. The staff has always been pleasant and their exam process is very thorough and efficient.
I never complain or write reviews but Ive never had such poor customer service before after wearing glasses and contacts for 25 years. I had a $700 pair of glasses that I never wear, break twice in 6 months in the same place. After buying contacts, two pairs of glasses, and sunglasses, I would think the optometrist would call back his patient after being requested twice. That being said, I think Candace Irizarry has been a major roadblock, so Im not sure if my doctor has been getting my messages.Initially I rated them a higher score, but I must warn people to find another optometrist. I was limited to this place because of my insurance, but with their high prices, poor customer service, lack of communication to clients when they close, and slow turn around times. I have found it to be less expensive to pay out of pocket at other places. I love supporting ma and pa shops, except when they dont appreciate or value their customers opinions or issues.I hate ending things on a negative note. That being said, the pros are that its conveniently located in San Rafael and it accepts VSP.
Got complex lenses right the 1st time
